It pains me deeply to write a bad review about Target. I've been a huge fan for decades now. I have recently moved, and this is the Target that is closest to me now. Unfortunately. For some reason, they are always super late in their markdowns. Whittwood Target gets theirs done on time. They do not have an Ulta. They do not carry the same labels as other Targets. They have a popcorn machine, and an Icee machine, but neither one ever works. That used to be my little ritual: Buy my cherry Icee and a popcorn, and stroll around Target for a couple of hours. If you're not going to have popcorn and Icees anymore, take the machines away!!! And last of all, what is up with the bathrooms? I haven't seen the mens, but the womens bathroom is SO GROSS. Honestly, the Walmart nearby is better. Never thought I would write that. P.S. I just discovered the AM/PM across the parking lot sells Slurpees in twice as many flavors for half the price. DO NOT BUY ANY VISA/AMERICAN EXPRESS PREPAID GIFT CARDS. Majority of them are scammed and scratched off which is not targets fault but it's super common at this location. There's no refunds with target and you have to go through VISA. I spent $100 and it just sucks. read more

I put an online order in and when I went to pick it up I waited 15 minutes then decided to come back because I couldn't keep waiting. Went back the next day and waited another 20 minutes then a worker came to my car and said they couldn't find the order and had to refill the order so to keep waiting. I went inside to speak to Patrick the manager and let him know it was horrible service and I wasn't happy and he just said sorry we are short staffed. Unacceptable customer service. I lead a non-profit organization and I went into the Santa Fe Springs Target. This is my go to store for convenience. This particular time, I was purchasing closed to $2K worth of gift cards for an event. The purchase was being made with a corporate card that matched my ID and yet, I was judged and treated like a criminal by an employee telling the cashier to only give me 4 gift cards, and telling me I could only purchase those, and to go to other stores. I took my business to Walgreens, and the very professional employees kindly explained their policy on gift cards, and why the policy has been placed for the protection of the store and the consumers. After this, they proceeded to help me with the rest of my purchase. What a difference in treatment and way of explaining an understandable policy to a customer! Employees should be coached and trained to treat everyone with kindness and respect. This Target location has lost my business. read more

I usually enjoy shopping at Target, but this particular location has been frustrating. Their return policy for Cat & Jack items seems very different from other Target stores. Even with a valid receipt and the item in hand, they make the return process more difficult than it needs to be. At surrounding Target stores, Cat & Jack returns are handled smoothly and without hassle. Here, it feels like they go out of their way to deny or complicate returns, which is unfair to customers--especially families who rely on Cat & Jack's guaranteed return policy. Target as a company already has enough challenges right now, and making things harder for loyal customers only pushes people away. I went in to buy a ps5 and several games and waited in the electronics dept for over 20 minutes and every employee I encountered was too busy filling online orders. They all kept saying "someone will come help you". I got tired of waiting and walked all the way to the front of the store to look for a manager, and a guy wearing a cowboy hat finally greeted me and said he would call someone to go over to electronics to help me... but by this time I was tired of waiting so we walked out. The next day I went to bestbuy and spent close to $900 on a new ps5 with several games and the service was great. Great Target. Came here because another review had told me this target carried "Baphomet Pride" merchandise that said "Satan Respects Pronouns". They also stated that this target had "started a war against families" so needless to say I was ECSTATIC to see what they had here. Post is for employee Robyn. I should be calling the cops instead of leaving a Yelp review as this crazy lady looked at me like she was going to knife me or fight me. I saw an open self checkout lane from a regular line and asked her if I could go to it. She stated no, and that there was a line for self checkout. I suggested that "maybe we keep the line moving then," and she was so angry that she glared at me like my life was at stake, multiple times. After the second time she turned around and continued mad-dog vibeing me, I looked for her name tag, and she haughtily offered/dared me that she could get a manager, as if it would amount to nothing and it would be a futile effort and waste of my time. Possibly, but I still asked her to do so. I'm sure Target at a corporate level would appreciate if she wasn't just standing around while a line formed while open checkouts were available. I think this Target is under new management. The self check out is either 5 or 10 items or less, they haven't decided because some days it's 5 some days it's 10. The cashier lines are 15-20 customers deep with employees standing around. This used to be my go to store but it looks like I'll be going to the Whittier store now. This store is garbage. read more

"Grace" needs a new name. Twice I've interacted with this lady and she always has something to complain about or "get a kick" about. This time it was because I didn't have 10 items or less in the checkout lane. I had 16 and she was trying to make me feel dumb for not reading the sign by saying "I get a KICK out of customers who don't read the sign," while smiling. This Target is okay but definitely not a favorite. A lot of the carts I tried to get had trash inside and a dirt diaper. You would think someone would notice that but I guess not. **WARNING** DO NOT DO DRIVE UP PICK UP ORDERS HERE!! On several occasions I have made the MISTAKE of doing drive up pick up orders here. This past time was the last time. Sometimes I give 15 to 20min notice im on my way and still end up waiting 15-20mins for someone to bring my order then other times my order is missing stuff they either just didnt bring out or didnt load in my car and my dumb butt trusted it and drove off without double checking and ended up having to wait 24hrs to fix the problem cause the order had been processed OR this past and LAST time that THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG ORDER ENTIRELY!!
