I received notification the iPad was ready for pickup well within the 2 hour window and found the pick-up to be fast and efficient. The iPad was charged, all parts present and in pristine condition. Honestly, I was surprised when Google's AI suggested this device could be located nearby at Target Reston. Still - I tried Apple, Amazon and Best Buy first - because I think of them as more reliable (?). What a waste of time - Apple's website said there was availability but I needed to go in or call first to purchase. Amazon had too many confusing listings and days to wait for delivery. Came here to return some baby clothes I got from another Target. There wasn't a line at all for the returns which is abnormal to me but a pleasant surprise. The store was clean and very organized. Great target to shop at! Plenty of parking you'll easily be able to park close to the entrance with ease, even at busier times! Customer service is nonexistent, but that's not a Reston Target problem, that's an EVERY target problem. Target has an abundance of employees but they're non-engaging unless you're at the register. I've gotten a lot of evasive eye contact tho, if target focused on having employees connecting with customers then it would be my favorite place to shop! I usually go in for one thing and walk out with a bunch. In terms of selection of products you can search in person or online. I love their online App if you end up going in person it will tell you EXACTLY where to find the product, they also offer free curbside pickup, have self checkout, and if your product is out of stock you can order substitutions ahead of time to save you the time and disappointment of having to reorder something else. They have a rewards program that you can earn rewards but it's not the best and you don't really save much. They have plenty of sales and BOGOs so there's an upside if you're looking to buy more but if you're looking to save money Target might not be the place to go for right now. I've been a Target Card holder ever since the program was initiated. Target has one of the leanest, organized. & mass merchandised retail stores. Target has people at the cash registers as well as self check out. I can still find a Target employee to help when I can't find a product or just need accurate pricing of an item. I buy some grocery items & when there is a home sale U find good deals. Target makes store efficiency, look simple & for customers like myself immersed in buying items in home, grocery, bath, sun, clothing, gifts, games paper products & various holiday items throughout the year. What's not to like about target? I would say that there are no food options, to satisfy this review. Service is excellent as always, except for the fact that I think that the self checkout lines are lacking in options. Especially during lunchtime, there were only a few lanes open when they could've open more with another attendant. Selection is excellent except that I was not able to find the sizes of the T-shirts that I was looking for. I think the value of target has gone down. We are talking about Girl Scout cookie body wash for three times the price that it should be. I will never walk out on Target, but I think that it's getting to be higher valued than is worth. read more

This Target is AMAZING. I live in DC, where Targets are plentiful (including in the nearby suburbs) but it's hard to find one that is big enough... clean enough... organized enough... well stocked... a fully pleasant experience... you get what I'm saying! My husband and I stopped in to look at a handful of home items such as couch pillows, a floor lamp, etc. Maybe we are jaded, but the Reston Target blew us away. Especially on a weekday morning when there was hardly anyone else shopping. The parking lot was easy, the aisles were big, everything was well stocked, clean, and organized, and no lines at the cashier. Prices seem to be the same as any other Target Store, so I'd say the value is absolutely comparable but with these other elements in play, we are jokingly considering moving to Reston just for this particular Target! *Didn't check out the in-store Ulta, or any clothing section, but I plan to be back for all of this. I did walk past the children's clothing, the baby section, and the grocery/food, and had the same impression -- large, plentiful, pleasant. I had a terrible experience at this Target Location. Management at this site has no standards. I arrived at this location to purchase a few items. They were in stock, on shelf, and labeled for sale. I went to checkout, and the employee took the item out of my hands. Said they couldn't sell it. If that's true, that's on management for not training employees correctly. Terrible customer service. In addition, the store Is filthy. There is inventory in all the wrong locations. It's a mess, no organization, no employee training. Again, this falls on management. There are empty shelves everywhere. It looks like there are sections that haven't been touched for ages. This is not how you present a store to customers. It feels like a third-world country in this store with how much dirt is everywhere. This falls on management. Last, but not least, I wanted to speak to some form of management, but there are almost no employees at this store. I called their guest services line, their electronics department, and their pharmacy but no one answered. This is terrible customer service. This is our 'neighborhood' Target and has been since day 1 when they opened, so we've seen them go through their growing process with many different managers. right now, we're not very pleased with this particular location and will only go there in emergency situations when other alternatives are too far away. So...why this change? The current store manager doesn't seem to be doing too well. For instance - and this REALLY IRKS ME - in their men's clothing section, I wanted to pick up a Polo shirt. On almost every single Polo shirt out for purchasae, the price on the tag had been torn off - and it wasn't just on these Polos either...but I found one that wasn't my size (L) they must've missed because it had a $12 price tag which HADN'T been torn off, so I believed and trusted them that that was their price. Since there was no other price posted anywhere on any sign - or on any other shirt, and the price was $12, I decided to buy two. When I went to check out, these rang up as $15! Now, if the shirts had been repriced so I wasn't blindsided by some sleazy unposted price increase, I may have been okay with the new price...but that's not how Target played this.... They left their shirts (and multiple other items) intentionally unpriced, then jacked up the price an additional 25% and blindsided the buyer at the checkout.... And it wasn't just these shirts that I saw torn price tags on - they must've done an increase on scores of other clothing items as well. Regardles of their reason for the increase, not showing the price to the customer and then blindsiding them at checkout is just sleazy and underhanded as can be. I won't be going to this Target anymore and believe their corporate HQ ought to know about these underhanded sleazy practices taking advantage of customers who don't pay attention. This Target has gotten worse with the women that control the self checkout. I saw a man get yelled at in the self check out line because he had 4 plants. she told him to go in the register line thst I was in waiting forever. tgey only had one person register open and it was slowwww! The man at the self check out just left his Buffy and was upset. I don't see why the sekf checkout woman had to be rude to him. it was embarrassin. We purchased a Bodum Chambord 8 Cup 34oz Coffee Press. When we received it we noticed how small the item was. No way this would make 8 cups. So, we put the item into its package and returned it. Target denied the return because we opened the box. Never buy from this store again. Amazon would not have any issue for the return. The return policy stinks in Target so be aware once you look at the product, it's yours, period. read more

This location is usually very well stocked despite the amount of traffic it gets. I have never purchased a loaf of bread from this location that has gone moldy in under a week. (Very much not the case with bread from the North Point Giant) and obviously with inflation the prices at this location are just right. Creating pickup orders on the app + looking through the target circle deals that they offer really makes this location a winner for me. The staff that work the pickup / return area are mostly excellent and professional. I appreciate them and the way they keep the pickup area as open as possible to keep it from becoming a mess. Sometimes the self checkout area can get hectic, the line can get long quickly and some willfully ignorant customers obviously compound that by jumping the line. Another note is Dr. Pepper. I used to purchase it from the other store with the blue color scheme. They were notorious for being 75% (or less!) full and barely carbonated. Never encountered this issue with any beverages purchased from this location. Good location. Usually panhandlers near the clothing donation bins, and I have been approached a few times in the parking lot over the last two years. read more

I've always loved this target location, but they've recently undergone a complete makeover and it's even better than before! Sections are clearly defined and organized with beautifully staged products and displays. The downside of this new target layout is the lack of clearance end-caps and having to relearn where everything is located. I suppose it'll come with time. Staff are extremely helpful if ever you need assistance finding an item. When it comes to stocking they seem to be short staffed, as carts full of packaged product sit blocking most of the back aisles for long periods of time. I'm sure this also has to do with the transition to a new layout and system. I'll chalk it up to kinks that need a little time to be worked out. read more

Came here for soda Maxine exchange and customer service gave the first customer 3 replacements at $14 each and when I came to counter they were all of a sudden out and I had to pay $30 for a replacement. Upon walking into the store, I was greeted by the smell of something soul like vomit and the odor of ass in the air. Maybe it was the food I was smelling from the grocery section, but it wasn't a good first impression. As I walk the isles of the store. I see the electronics section looks be on it's way out the door....after talking to a crew member, I found out that the empty section is actually the new electronics section. It should take 3 days to completely finish it. The store has...had a set up that wasn't the standard look for Target. They are in the process of fixing that. I move on to the mens section and see my favorite underwear now, but not the type I like. The extended breifs are much cheaper and the same quality as their online store. Unfortunately as of lately, I haven't seen many of them at target. Good thing I stocked up on the last year. There hasn't been much change on the designs at the Target Stores. I have bought socks in two big bundle that wasn't marked correctly. I plan on buying a bundle of the crew neck undershirts in black when I see the XL sizes. Hasn't happened yet, but I can wait. The old electronics section is on it's way out the door, but from what I saw, it still looks pretty good. Overall, the store looks very sloppy, but it is a work in progress. The store wasn't very crowded, but the staff are working to get things in order. Since most kids don't have to go to school today, a lot of them were in the store with Mommy and Daddy. Andrea: "It looks JUST LIKE a dress my friend bought at French Connection [for 3x's the price]" Sure, you'll have to dig through a lot to get that perfect summer dress. Today I had the unfortunate experience of being helped by ARIELLE. Not only was she inexplicably rude, she was condescending and seemingly short tempered. I had a question about the transaction and she immediately struck up an argument with me...over and over again stating that I was in the wrong. She even got slightly aggressive (she slammed down my product and did the same with other items as well: her walk-in etc) Thankfully, her manager (or someone who seemed to be) came over and politely showed her she was incorrect and fixed the issue for me. I asked Arielle if I was all set to go and if the transaction had been worked out and she replied in an extremly loud and agitated tone "I mean YEAH ESSENTIALLY!!!!". It's apparent ARIELLE does not enjoy her job or take pride in her position....the lack of professionalism in her appearance alone, should have told me that. The management at this target is mediocre at best. Not sure what has happened or if this is a result of covid but the manager did not help at all. I had a store credit card and my red card. Usually the manager will honor the five percent off so I can use my store credit first and then swipe my red card, but this one refused. It's not about the five percent, it's the fact that she came over and would not listen to what I was explaining. So unpleasant. read more

They are always out of the essentials, to the point where i wondered if perhaps they were closing. So I suppose they just don't restock. Very strange. I go out of my way not to shop here. So tonight, when I ran in for a trip (since I didn't feel like going all the way to the sterling target) I immediately regretted my decision. Three vagrants were blocking the doorway arguing. Anytime I've visited this Target, no one greets you, staff is unhelpful and rude to customers and doesn't thank you for your business when you leave. Today I witnesssed a target worker mocking a larger build older lady that was buying ice cream. Joking saying she also likes to binge on candy also. The audacity of walking up to a customer and mocking them, not even knowing if the purchase was for them or someone else. It was soo flagrantly wrong I just stood there and watched in shock for a couple minutes. The poor lady didn't even realize the staffer was marking fun of her and kept looking over to other staffers smiling while degrading the lady. This store employs idiots that actually make fun of customers to their face. I've never seen something so disrespectful. They need to fire anyone that does that. The checkout clerks have always been friendly and kind whenever I have shopped here and I have greatly appreciated them. However, when I shop there, it's hard to find an employee on the floor to help me find items I need. If I see one, they're often on their phone or seemingly not interested in helping customers. I feel like I'm inconveniencing them by simply asking for help, even though I ask gently. This evening, I tried calling the store to speak to a manager about an item I purchased. Not all Targets are created equal. This rating is based on my experience with customer service and returning items. So my wedding registry is through Target. A sweet friend of mine who lives several states away had ordered a fragile item online and had it shipped to my house. Unfortunately when it arrived (it was a serving plate btw). I was broken. The online packing people failed to adequately put any reasonable cushioning materials in the box before sending it off into the wilds of the postal service. Seriously it was only packed with those big bubble air things, they sort of remind me of plastic bags inflated as balloons. No bubble wrap or anything of that sort. Ok kind of a drag I need to return but I head to target. Thankfully there wasn't a line at customer service so I tell the lady some one had bought this for us on our registry, and it arrived broken as she could clearly see. Well instead of offering me a store credit or exchange she credits the merchandise back to my friend's card before I could even stop her. So now, I need to notify my friend that she's probably going to see a credit from target on her next CC statement, and it was returned not because we didn't like it but because it sadly arrived broken. Decent size. Kind of dirty though. The reason why I made this review a one star one is because more than the appearance, I was appalled by them not following safety guidelines during this global pandemic. There was one target worker that wasn't wearing a mask in store or when he was grabbing all the carts outside to put them away. He wasn't wearing a mask when he was stocking or just browsing at the store and even smiled at my son 2 feet away from me without his mask. During a time when sanitation procedures are key, all workers should be wearing masks inside the store especially since they are handling all the items that we touch! read more

The selection here is great. The value is like that of any other Target, so reasonable. Other than that, the store is typically in disarray, e.g., clothes in heaps on the floor near the clearance section, boxes of clothes out near the plus size section and fitting room. The area that it's located typically has issues with panhandlers. One saw me leave the store and as I was buckling my seat belt in my car, they knocked on my window - this startled me, I reversed so quickly out of the spot without finishing the buckling. For some time, police have had to monitor the parking lots for exactly this. The team members are lacking as well. One team member was annoyed when I was searching a rack in the clearance section. Apparently, they and other team members were stocking the section during shopping hours and did not want me in the area - the member rolled their eyes and tersely said "excuse me". I got the message and walked away. Still fairly close to that area, I overheard that team member telling their coworker that was also stocking that section with them that they were sometimes petty with customers. This segued into the teammate detailing to the coworker a time they purposefully "misheard" a customer asking for the location of toothpaste and asking the customer to repeat themselves a number of times. I know retail is hard, but there's no excuse for unwarranted rudeness. It's unbelievable that Target would have such low hanging fruit work for them. read more
