April 12, 2022:…read more Probably the best experience we have ever had buying furniture. We heard about Mission Bungalow from our good Ole Pal GOOGLE, after typing in the search bar, "furniture stores near me", while sitting outside Raleigh Raw Juice Bar & Cafe, eating our sushi burrito and drinking our berry smoothie. Upon completion of our lunch, Google maps, without fail, guided us to Mission Bungalow's exact location. After walking into the store, we were immediately greeted by Mark, the owner. We let Mark know that we had been doing some minor research on bedroom sets but could not find what we wanted. After listening to us describe our style and what we wanted, he began to show us their gallery. Mark was extremely kind and patient with us, especially since our indecisiveness and ADHD was in full swing, going out of his way to make sure we had what we were looking for and explaining all the different designs and styles, especially with the different woods and stains. He was straight forward and honest with the time frame at which products are being delivered and when we would expect our new furniture. We were definitely there past closing time, and really appreciated the time Mark gave us. Mission Bungalow is true to their word.

Really though, we bought at least a dozen incredible pieces plus accessories and they delivered the furniture the next day. We found truly unique, high quality pieces ranging from a full dining set, bedroom set, bookcase, and more PLUS beautiful hardcover antique books and artwork. We were able to accomplish so much within a short amount of time that could have taken us months and months. I was thrilled to have furnished our house with items from our past while incorporating decor and pieces true to this area as well. Since the first visit, we have been back several times and always find way more than expected. It is hard not to buy everything. Reasonable prices and quality items - lots of variety. Customer service is wonderful and the owner Kevin always interacts with his customers no matter if you're an old friend or your first time in.

The women in the showroom were very knowledgeable & made the purchasing process seamless. The color couch we wanted was not something that was in stock & was going to take 6-8 weeks to be delivered, which we were fine with. They had plenty of other options that could have been delivered sooner but this was the one we really wanted. They had everything delivered to us within the given time frame! The gentlemen who delivered the couch were professional & efficient. It had been raining on the day of delivery so the ground was wet, but they got the couches in our back door and not a spot on them. Very reasonably priced furniture & a great team to assist you! We will definitely be stopping here first for any future furniture needs.

Every other store had delivery for the sofas we wanted estimated for 8-12 weeks (Covid, back orders, pausing in manufacturing). We came into this store and began looking around. We saw a cute counter height table with stools at an very reasonable price (less than 500 for a table and 4 upholstered stools) and was in stock to be delivered on Monday (we bought on Saturday). We also purchased a sectional sofa and a lift top coffee table. The sofa was also available to be delivered and set up on Monday (two days from purchase!!). All items (full dining room set with 4 stools, large 3 piece sectional, and lift top coffee table) plus delivery came to just under 1800. They also have some financing options available as well! The folks who worked there were also incredibly helpful and worked with us to get the items we wanted as quickly as possible. I would 10000% return to this place for my furniture needs!

Unique ***** Modern *****…read moreQuality ***** Variety **** Expertise *** Hard sell *** Parking ***** Location ** Price * (high) Different from other Raleigh stores (Haverty's, Bassett, Ethan Allen, La-Z-boy, Rooms to Go, etc.); Ambiente's furniture is all high-end, modern, cutting edge designs, unique pieces. Every other store has stodgy, traditional pieces that are so boring. (Basset's idea of cutting edge is offering memory foam cushion options.) At least Ambiente is fun and interesting to browse. If you're looking for an Ekornes Stressless chair, Ambiente has the best display of multiple colors and styles. FYI, those chairs are $3k each; most leather chairs cost just as much now. I have 2 Ekornes chairs that are 10 years old, extremely comfortable, still in style, and look brand new. I was shocked to see how much furniture prices have increased post-covid, and good luck getting custom pieces in less than 9-12 mos. due to supply chain issues. Most places don't sell showroom models, either. Buy "made in NC" for faster (yet still slow) delivery. Most of Ambiente's pieces are made overseas. I was looking for a sofa sectional. The first one I saw was beautiful. Price tag showed $11K. Who can afford a sofa that costs more than a car? I found a suitable sofa sectional at Bassett, but I left the store after I found out it was $8K. "It's 30% off!" Down from 10K. Since furniture costs are so high now, you might as well pick something you like enough to keep for decades. I even shopped online for sofas and discovered they are junk not made to last long but suitable for a first apartment.
