He even suggested a left-side chaise which would fit better in my apartment. Once I decided on a couch, I feared I would have to wait weeks for delivery, but Ronnie said they would have it to me by Saturday (I bought it on a Thursday). The delivery guys were early and they called before they arrived, set up the couch in about 5 minutes and took all the trash with them. We heard about Mission Bungalow from our good Ole Pal GOOGLE, after typing in the search bar, "furniture stores near me", while sitting outside Raleigh Raw Juice Bar & Cafe, eating our sushi burrito and drinking our berry smoothie. Upon completion of our lunch, Google maps, without fail, guided us to Mission Bungalow's exact location. After walking into the store, we were immediately greeted by Mark, the owner. We let Mark know that we had been doing some minor research on bedroom sets but could not find what we wanted. After listening to us describe our style and what we wanted, he began to show us their gallery. Mark was extremely kind and patient with us, especially since our indecisiveness and ADHD was in full swing, going out of his way to make sure we had what we were looking for and explaining all the different designs and styles, especially with the different woods and stains. He was straight forward and honest with the time frame at which products are being delivered and when we would expect our new furniture. There was a special coloring design on the table top and they matched it on the chair seats and sideboard. With shortages this year it took longer than we would have liked but with COVID delays gave been difficult and in the end. We love all of our purchases.

Every other store has stodgy, traditional pieces that are so boring. (Basset's idea of cutting edge is offering memory foam cushion options.) At least Ambiente is fun and interesting to browse. If you're looking for an Ekornes Stressless chair, Ambiente has the best display of multiple colors and styles. FYI, those chairs are $3k each; most leather chairs cost just as much now. I have 2 Ekornes chairs that are 10 years old, extremely comfortable, still in style, and look brand new. I was shocked to see how much furniture prices have increased post-covid, and good luck getting custom pieces in less than 9-12 mos. due to supply chain issues. Most places don't sell showroom models, either. Buy "made in NC" for faster (yet still slow) delivery. Most of Ambiente's pieces are made overseas. I was looking for a sofa sectional. The first one I saw was beautiful. Price tag showed $11K. Who can afford a sofa that costs more than a car? I found a suitable sofa sectional at Bassett, but I left the store after I found out it was $8K. "It's 30% off!" Down from 10K. Since furniture costs are so high now, you might as well pick something you like enough to keep for decades. I even shopped online for sofas and discovered they are junk not made to last long but suitable for a first apartment.
