Agree that it's about average for Target. A little surprised at the length of the lines to the cashier on a Sunday afternoon. They were longer than I have seen elsewhere. This store always, always, always has lines lines lines! I don't understand why the associates in charge don't see the customers lined up 15 and 20 people deep. It's 8p and they are open for three more hours, but must not have scheduled properly. It's like this all the time, I usually just end up walking out, like tonight...imagine the business they would do if they learned how to take care of their customers and get them out the door quicker...it's frustrating because I go there for a reason, to fulfill some needs, but they just don't take care of the front end properly! read more

I am super annoyed with my experience with Target online and in store ! On Friday I ordered a surprise present for my friend for her housewarming party and told her to pick it up within the next few days. My friends gets to Target and they tell her the order is CANCELLED ! You can imagine my disbelief when I received the text at work !! I went back and checked my email which I only had my receipt of order. The receipt didn't even give an estimated timeframe of when to pick the items up !!! I ordered Friday and Monday she went to pick it up ! As much as my husband and I love Target it's time to take a LONG break from them. Furthermore, I will be letting others know not to waste their time ordering online and picking up in store as there isn't anything that gives information on when it needs to be picked up ! read more

The Target store in Poughkeepsie is an absolute dump. I stopped in real quick on Saturday, later afternoon, and first noticed the sidewalk was full of litter out front and carts scattered every where. Then I went inside to find the floor riddled with trash. Almost every sanitizing station was out of hand sanitizer and there weren't any bacterial wipes left to wipe down carts. I was so disappointed at how unkept the store looked. I understand many stores are under staffed, but when that's the case, store managers need to step in and do their part. I've been to a few other Targets in North Jersey recently and they're all pristine. In fact, the carts are wiped down by store employees with antibacterial wipes for customers upon entering the store. Honestly, the Poughkeepsie location was such a disappointment. No excuse for such a dirty store. The experience made me not want to shop there again. read more

I went to target looking for clothes for my granddaughter. When I first walked in I needed help finding an item not in the apparel section. I seen a woman working near the girls clothing and asked her where the item I was looking for might be. She told me where to find said item and in fact it was there. So now it's time for clothes shopping for my granddaughter. I go to the clothing section and the same woman is working in the section. I found an item and had a question as to if it came in another color. She explained that in the brand I was holding didn't come in pink but found a jacket in another brand that did and in fact she explained to me that it was 30% off. She also explained target circle to me. I also needed snow pants for my granddaughter and she found the last pair for me. This woman's name was Mary and she truly is a blessing with the knowledge she has about the girls clothing section. She truly is an asset. Kudos to target for allowing Mary to excel in this area. I can't believe what a disgusting mess Target Poughkeepsie has become. I have stopped there a few times this past week to buy some things for Halloween. The first time I went, the Halloween items were still in boxes in the aisle. The shelves were bare. Ok, I figured they were in the process of unpacking. Went back a few more times, the boxes still in aisle, nothing on shelves. Shouldn't take over a week to stock shelves. As I was leaving, I noticed boxes piled high all over the store, no one working, the shelves bare. Very few employees throughout the entire store. Registers no longer opened, only self checkout. I'm currently standing in line at customer service that is 8 people deep with no one behind the counter. I had to flag someone down to ask if anyone was working here. Finally, the employee who was more concerned about the lack of an employee at the cafe went behind the counter to help people. Seriously unbelievable. read more

The store is always a mess and out of stock for what I need. Stocking staff are rude and unhappy and should either quit or look for another job. Target needs to hire a better quality of people. WALMART IN FISHKILL, if you get there early before the crowds, is a much better option, well stocked, bigger selection and HAS FRIENDLY HAPPY STAFF. read more

Always a pleasure to shop there! The store is incredibly clean and well organized,checkout is a breeze too. I travel to several different states each year and this Target is the cleanest and most organized as well! Kingston and Newburgh's are right there with them too. I did find the Middletown NY store to be a little lacking, but it may have been that I wasn't as familiar with that store.Retail in the modern era is never going to be perfect, but this Target has never done one thing to ever disappoint me...keep up the good work! read more

Well, well, well.... Finally a target that is poorly stocked compared to Walmart. I went there to look for certain items and they were either out or didn't carry anymore. Pretty okay target - the lines are a bit long sometimes, aisles are a bit on the cluttered side and it sucks that there isn't a checkout on the mall end. The new addition of the grocery section was very much needed and appreciated. read more

It's an interesting mix of people actually shopping at Target and the people passing through to the mall. The checkout lines are usually a mile long because they have 2-4 lanes open. Kind of ghetto at the same time, though. But the only other option nearby is Newburgh so you take what you can get... read more

This is my favorite Target to go to. It's usually clean and organized. They have a better selection of pocketbooks and accessories than some other Targets. The food section is good. It's spacious. We bought bread there that was very fresh. I sometimes buy Target deluxe CDs and they usually have them in stock when I look, but not always. Customer service is usually good. I don't go to the toy section much anymore, but used to. A few years ago, they usually had the newest dolls in before any other stores in the area. I found two rare dolls there that no other stores were carrying. One time I was looking for a specific doll. An employee looked in the stockroom for us and found the exact one I wanted. I always appreciate people who are helpful and nice. I had two bad experiences which is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5. Once I couldn't find a CD in the music section on the release date. An employee said he would look in the back, but he didn't, instead he went behind the counter and helped another customer while we stood waiting and watching him. He ignored us, so I went to the customer service desk and asked for help. After about 5 minutes, a different employee came to the desk with the CD I wanted. The other problem was an online order for a few items. One was a pair of pants in stock at this store, so I sent a relative to pick them up. When they brought the bag in and I opened it, the pants had a terrible chemical odor on them. Maybe it was a bad shipment or something in the store, but, it was terrible. We returned them. I got the same pants at Target in Newburgh and they didn't smell at all. read more

This has got to be the worst Target store in the world. One may walk into the store and no one, including "the managers" have a clue where things are or how to interact with consumers. Some of the Common phrases used by the employees in the store are as follows: " I am not sure where it is" "Please go to aisle X followed by a left turn and another right turn into the next aisle". Shopped at this target for a few years now. This time I was negligent in trusting their posted prices and signs indicating sale items. When I got home I checked closely and most of the prices that I paid were much higher than posted. This was for Bounty, Charmin, Cascade, and a few other items. I blame myself for trusting their signage but this is not acceptable. Especially since it was on so many items. I am going to file a complaint with NY state as it is also illegal. read more

A woman who was breastfeeding her infant was just asked to leave this store. This is harassment. And don't tell me they can "go to the rest room" to breast feed. Would you want to eat your dinner in a rest room? Went to get a Christmas tree today at target in the Poughkeepsie galleria, got to the section only To find out the tree we wanted was out of stock, totally fine considering the young man in the back named Joey told us he'd sell us the display tree with an extra 20 percent off on an already on sale tree. GREAT! We'll take it. My boyfriend and I picked out our decorations that we wanted and a tree skirt, pretty much spent an hour doing all of this , we take the tree all the way up to the register , not in a box , and a young lady named Desiree comes up to us and tells us we're not allowed to take the display tree. She wasn't very nice, infact, she shouldn't be allowed to work with people in general. So we go find Joey after she told my boyfriend and I that we had to take the tree back ourselves which was not going to happen after she was so nasty to us. Joey on the other hand is a great employee, if I could give him 5 stars I would , but as for an experience coming to a store I have my gone to my whole life and never have experienced such a nasty employee in my life as I have here. read more

Normally a fan but I've placed two online photo orders in the last two days that the store claims never to have received. None of the store employees have even bothered to apologize or try to figure out why this is happening. I have confirmation numbers but apparently they can't even track an order with them. Really poor service and handling of customers. I was told 2 hours ago that both of the in store kiosks are broken and I can not print the photos myself. When I called to see if my second order went through it hadn't and I was told that the one kiosk was in fact working since yesterday. But with different information from two employees I'm not driving back to the store to be disappointed for a third time today. read more
