We purchased the sofa and are very, very happy with it. 6 months later and we need a new mattress and as we all know MATTRESS SHOPPING SUCKS! I made the typical rounds with the well known major bed retailers. I had two sales people literally follow me out of the store and I thought one guy was going to break out in tears when I left. It was awful. We found a memory foam with gel mattress at the Furniture Guys that we liked earlier in the day. We found others that we liked as well, however the price was usually more than double of what we liked at the Furniture Guys place. We went back, tired and hungry after making the rounds and tried the bed out again and decided to take it. This was on a Saturday afternoon and they said they could deliver it that day! I wasn't expecting anything before Monday so that was a bonus. The delivery guy didn't show up until 7:00pm that night but they did get the bed there. Sunday morning I wake up at 4:00am in back pain agony. I was convinced that I could not sleep on that bed and went back to the store to find out what my options would be. The receipt he gave me the day before was for someone else, so we got that switched out. George was very patient with me and listened to my concerns. He explained that going from a coil bed to memory foam will take some adjustment and the mattress will become less firm with use. He suggested that we give it a little time and if we were still unhappy he would make it right. I took him at his word and lo and behold slept like a baby the second night! However, in looking at my receipt after we got home, I noticed that I was overcharged by $53.00. I called George and he issued a credit right over the phone. I do believe it was just an honest mistake and he was quick to fix it. I totally recommend this place and I will return in the future for sure. Love the couch and the mattress. They refused to replace the furniture or return my monies back for three months. I got an attorney and reported them to the Attorney General's Office, The Better Business Bureau, etc. They did not want to go to court and be sued. I received all my monies back b4 Christmas and it was exactly all my monies which they kept for three months. Total of $999. I would think twice b4 doing any business with these people. They give you a friendly smile when your buying their furniture but God forbid you have a problem with their deliveries of their furniture they will not deal with you professionally. Furniture Care Protection has ordered parts and shipped to the wrong address, only to discover the part was not the cause of the failure. 2-16 weeks - yes, two to SIXTEEN weeks to get the next part. Furniture Care Protection is a scam. Hudson's uses that scam company to eliminate their warranty responsibility. Be careful - DON'T buy the warranty, and think twice about Hudson's as they take zero responsibility for their products once it is at your home.

In three years after light use, the seats on the furniture have lost their support, actually sloping into the middle of the sofa and the lumbar area is totally non-existent! The upper part of the sofa slopes ( since it was delivered!) downward on the left side quite obviously. Matter Brothers delivery men claimed they didn't notice it at all when they brought it, saying "you must be imagining that!" No, it's actually measuring a few inches lower than the right side! The cushions slope inward a good two inches on each side toward the middle cushion ( which is higher than the outer ones) making them very uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. Even though our warranty states cushions, wooden frames, springs are warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship for FIVE YEARS, from the date of sale, Matter Brothers claims that the warranty company is a third party company and it has nothing to do with them, so they won't do anything to help us! My daughter bought a sectional from Ashley Furniture 11 years ago, it's a microfiber fabric. She has two dogs who love to jump on it, neighbors kids who jump on it, lots of company and parties and it still looks brand new and the cushions have stayed buoyant and lovely all this time! No sagging, no slouching, perfectly in shape! She urged me to shop at Ashley, I wish I had, she paid $800.00 for her sectional, she still has it and loves it! She since bought another sofa there. When I can unload this furniture, I'm going to shop there too! I urge you not to shop at Matter Brothers, they don't stand behind their products or their warranty company.
