I love the soft serve ice cream at the hot deli stand. I don't order anything else from there except the ice cream. I get OTC items at the pharmacy so I can use my HSA/FSA card (HSA/FSA card only accepted at the pharmacy register for OTC items). I asked the lady behind the register to bag up my OTC items & she said no that I can just show my receipt at the door. I don't think she realizes I would have to bypass the main registers with my items before heading towards the door. It made me feel awkward walking pass the registers with all my OTC items lol. They prolly think I didn't pay lol. Usually, the person behind the pharmacy counter brown bags all items purchased from that register which that was done every time prior to this particular day. Next time, I will make sure they get in the brown bag so I'm don't have to hassle with the folks at the main registers. My brother is a pharmacist at a different Costco & when I told him about my OTC purchase not bagged... he told me that the pharmacy clerk should have brown bagged my OTC items purchased there. To next time make sure it's bagged. The tire center is spectacular!!! I've had all my vehicles serviced here & other Costcos with new tires. Very reliable tire center they know a lot about cars too. Saved close to $400 on new tires here instead of the car dealership. read more

Buyer beware. Bought tires there under warranty and then got a screw in the bottom of the tread, dead center. Drove 20 miles to get the tire fixed under warranty. Dropped the Lexus off and a short time later the technician calls to say I need a new tire because the side wall is compromised and it will cost me $165.00. Told him the tires are under warranty. He says it is still going to cost us $165.00. I said, "go ahead and put the tire back in the trunk. I can get it fixed for $10.00." Grabbed the car and went down to Bob's tire center in Largo which is 1 mile from my house. Had it fixed in 15 minutes for $10.00. Last time I bring my car to Costco tire shop for tires. This is the place for deals. Buy in bulk here. There's also good samples on the weekends with nice workers. The lines are long but they go by fast. Paper goods are a great value here and water bottles, etc. the bakery has fresh options that are high quality! read more

Probably the best Costco in the area. Everything is easily found from eggs to baked goods to household items. While it is busy on the weekend, week nights aren't so bad! Love the fact that it's attached to the Clearwater mall so you can easily go shopping in the plaza or even have a meal. read more

I love to explore Costco whenever I'm in a different town as they always have something my local Costco doesn't carry. We went a bit after 3pm on a Tuesday and there were a lot of shoppers. One thing I noticed immediately is their separate liquor section and there were a few items I had never seen before which is always cool. I was very excited to see they were giving out samples of Caribbean beef patties as I've never had them and was curious what they tasted like. The dough was buttery but the filling wasn't as flavorful as I expected. It was still pretty tasty tho hubs didn't care for them. So I ended up having his sample too:) They also had frozen Japanese fried chicken which I had never seen at a Costco before and I probably would have purchased if I wasn't traveling. We did find a nice pair of swimming shorts for the hubs for only $12.99! This is why I love Costco. People were very friendly at this store. As always, had a fun time exploring this location. read more

This is strictly for the gas operation. I got here at 7:29 am only to find a line of cars waiting there as tho it were midday. Many of 'em were just milling around not pumping gas. Well, it turns out that the bonehead running this place didn't turn on the pumps! It became obvious that he was late for work. Why? Because the cones, etc. had not been set up yet; he tossed them into a shopping cart and pulled 'em out of the shack after he turned on the pumps at 7:33... This is the same moron who LAST week changed the prices on the pumps a nickel higher; sign out front still read a nickel a gallon less. Another customer called out the attendant on it. His reply "I forgot to change the board!" The customer asked whether they'd honor the lower price. "No; it's still cheaper here if you try to go somewhere else!" So at the very least, the people who run the store should be aware of this fellow who can't seem to run a gas station right. I'm sure there's more to it than meets the eye, but showing up on time and getting things properly set up is what one SHOULD believe as a no-brainer! Uh oh...I may just have stumbled upon something. This particular "something" is a brown haired, bearded B U F O O N...This was only in the last two weeks. Let's see if management is paying attention to this page!!! read more

We stood in one of the shorter lines to check out, but it became one of the longer lines as we put our items on the belt to check out. One of the employees came up & opened the check out lane next to us. That's service! The store has Christmas items already (9/30/23). It has sales on paper products & clothes, all in stock. We got the huge Bounty towel bundle for $5 off, which was a deal. We looked at a hoodie for $15 on sale from Orvis. It was very warm looking, but bulky. I chose a lightweight Eddie Bauer zippered hoodie for $17.99. I looked for replacement toothbrush heads, for $5 off, and saw the small print - online only. That's okay. With free shipping, it's fine. Duracell batteries were $5 off, but Costco batteries were the same price for more batteries. We read that Duracell makes their batteries, so we chose Kirkland. We used our bonus bucks to pay for everything. We earned them for purchases for the last quarter. They are always helpful. With the crowds and the parking sometimes hard to find, it is still a good place to shop! Next time we'll go on a week night for fewer people & easier parking. read more

I walk in to re-establish not renew my membership. I had let my Costco membership lapse about three years ago and started using BJs. I ask the greeter where membership services is so I can do so. Usually its the countertop by the main entrance but not at this location. She tells me it's outside around the corner so I head that way. When I get around the corner I realize there's no customer service or anything but more parking lot and I begin my hike back to my car. I was reminded why I let my membership lapse a few years ago. I used to love Costco. This location is a shite show. Crowded, and just too much of a hassle to get in and out of there. Which by the way was the majority of the time wasted there. read more

We received a Costco membership as a gift. Decided today would be a great day to go and get our cards. Arrived at 9:30 (oops, they open at 10). At 10:05, we again pulled in the lot. We couldn't believe the number people there. We had a brief wait at customer service; however, the supervisor was extremely personable and helpful, so that was okay. The aisles were crowded and chaotic, but the store was well-stocked. Additionally, the aisles do not have a directory at the ends, which does make shopping a bit cumbersome. We bought a few items and saw a few things we'll buy our next visit. Checkout was fast. We were aware that their policy is to accept Visa cards only (used to be American Express). Luckily, we had cash, but there were numerous ATMs (long lines at each). All in all, we're glad we have a membership again. read more

BE CAREFUL with the tire center . I had my 4 tires changed two weeks ago( I had a nail on one of my tire and I decided to change all the tires) and they scratched my driver side back rim. I made a complaint with the store manager and he was trying to tell me that the scratch was old( it was NOT old, they DID IT there.) All the rims were greasy all over, they didn't have the courtesy to at least clean the rims. I filled out a claim and corporate denied my claim. Now I have a car, that I bought 2 weeks before I went to this location with a big and deep scratch in one of my rims. So my advice to all the customers thinking to use the tire center, take pictures of your tires and rims before you drop the car to this Costco location. They are very unprofessional and this was unacceptable. read more

Worst customer service I've ever experienced, John at the door was extremely rude. I went to get a pizza already scanned my card and was still turned around. They wouldn't listen that I was already in the store and wanted to force me to walk around the entire store and rescan my card. I made a complaint to Sonia at the desk but she didn't care. I love Costco so I will be back here, but this is a poorly designed Costco with the longest lines I've ever seen at any Costco in both the gas station and check out area and just too many people everywhere it's hard to move or get anywhere, if you don't have 2 hours set aside to go here, don't go. They also frequently run out of shopping carts. I avoid going on weekends but still run into this. Prices are good and I like a lot of their products. read more

My rating is solely for the clusterf*ck of the Costco Gas lines. There are 4 lines to feed into the 6 lanes of fueling. Far left goes to the far left lane. 2nd from left goes to lane 2. 3rd from left goes to lane 3 (and possibly squeeze into 4). The 4th line is the ONLY line that feeds into lanes 4, 5 AND 6. Freaking ridiculous how much longer it takes ‍ It would be so easy to create three lines that feed into each pair of lanes. Come on Costco it's not rocket science. ! Always crowded, small aisles, not great samples but they have self checkout and the location is near a ton of other stores like Ulta, Dollar Tree, Ross Dress for Less, Burlington Coat Factory, Lowe's and a Super Target! Things are usually in stock which is good but not always the best produce (fruit and vegetables). This is the closest Costco to me so it is the one I always go back to. read more

My brother took me in for my first time to this and I have my nose stuck up in the air ignorant but he told me trust me is tasty, I went along with it and so glad I did. The chicken bake is one of the ugliest looking things I've eaten and yet I love them. They are this deliciously yummy baked loaf of bread with chunks of chicken and little bits of bacon with cheese and light spices mixed in them. Then more cheese and spices are sprinkled in the outer top which makes it look burnt and nasty coming out of the oven but oh my goodness so tasty! Price: 5 You can get this tasty treat for less than $4 bucks and I sometime buy multiple to take home and they are just as tasty if not tastier later cold or reheated. The staff testing for hearing aids, especially Sean, are the rudest, condescending staff I have ever been around. Rude to my hearing impaired mom and myself after I've gone there before for hearing aids. Unprofessional and sarcastic comments are unnecessary when dealing either people with hearing loss. You have to order from a kiosk which isn't a big deal, just be mindful that some check outs are visa only. Wait time will be 20-25 minutes on the weekends for pizza so I'd recommend ordering ahead. The pizza is fairly large and has 12 slices. It isn't salty, it could be more crispy and is a good deal if you're feeding a hungry crowd. read more
