At first they falsely contended that Florida law disallowed the providing of such info. There is no such law. Multiple states actually require it. Florida does not. Then they shifted to some vague "liability" concerns which was creative but not credible. However, their real reason for the refusal, which they finally admitted, was that I could use that necessary measurement data to buy cheaper glasses on-line or somewhere else at a cheaper price... in essence trying to force me to use them again for any future prescription glasses needs. Poor and unfair business practice. I emailed them recently to their customer service address expressing these same concerns but received no reply.

The practice is a father and son team. I dealt with both doctors and I'll say I'm very happy with the Lind team. They both will do everything they can to make sure everything is just right for you. I needed some contacts. They allowed me to sample a few different makers and tweaked the script until it was right for me. Upon arriving, I was informed that the appointment was, in fact, virtual and that there is never a doctor physically on site, which was misleading and a waste of my time. The most shocking issues, however, involved patient privacy and professionalism during the check-in process: * Major HIPAA/Privacy Violation 1: The receptionist handed me an entirely different patient's paperwork containing their personal information. * Major HIPAA/Privacy Violation 2: While speaking to my husband, she then handed me another person's driver's license and insurance card. At this point, my husband and I immediately decided not to proceed with the appointment due to the office's demonstrated inability to handle sensitive personal information securely. We requested our paperwork back, concerned that our personal information would end up in someone else's hands. The receptionist claimed our paperwork was already in a locked shredder bin and could not be retrieved. As she spoke, the bin's lid popped open, revealing there was no lock. This experience was appalling. The combination of misleading appointment information, extreme negligence regarding patient privacy (handling multiple other patients' identifying documents incorrectly), and dishonest claims about retrieving our paperwork makes this office completely untrustworthy. After seeing nearly every doctor in the office, I was inexplicably routed back to the first one. At that point, it was clear no one had a definitive understanding of my condition. Adding to the frustration, the practice billed my medical insurance instead of my eye insurance, creating yet another unnecessary complication. Thankfully, after switching insurance providers, I visited a different ophthalmologist who accurately diagnosed and resolved the issue in just two appointments. It's disappointing that a practice with such polished facilities and advanced equipment fell short where it mattered most: precise diagnosis, continuity of care, and competent billing.

My husband went to him specifically for upper blepharoplasty and he was told by Dr Kostick that he didn't need upper blepharoplasty, but instead he needed a brow lift. My husband had the brow lift, which was a much more extensive recovery than anticipated as he was drugged up for several days after the surgery. Every time he went back for checkups from the surgery, he was charged an office visit fee, which is ridiculous. Put that aside, his eyelids never changed from the brow lift and Dr Kostick didn't take any responsibility for it. Instead, he suggested another surgery, an upper blepharoplasty, which is the exact surgery that he was told he didn't need. Very disappointing to say the least and really inaccurate assessment. The entire office structure there is like an assembly line with zero accountability. Dr Kostick should have taken responsibility for absolutely no improvement post surgery and offered to fix it. The integrity and professionalism is not there and I would definitely not recommend this doctor.
