Memphis is sorely lacking in quality home furniture. The Back Room certainly fills an underserved niche. They probably have about 3-4 living room sets, a couple of bedroom sets, mattresses, and I think I spotted some appliances and TVs near the back. It reminded me a lot of an Aaron's or a Rent A Center, in that there weren't an over abundance of choices here. There were also tons on signs on the wall stating "Your job is your credit." Which, I guess is good to know if you have bad credit. I found a lot of the furniture in Chapman's to be a little too ornate and wooden for my tastes. If you are looking for a bargain, I would definitely suggest stopping here, it is worth a shot. However, don't wander in here expecting the show room of a Value City or Ashley Furniture. It ain't even in the same league.
