I understand being busy and unable to help all guests at the same time, but I don't understand how someone could call 4 different times while physically INSIDE the store and still not be able to receive any help. I waited over 20 minutes in the electronic department along with another gentleman waiting for anyone to help us. After walking over to guest relations and finding out only one singular person had the keys to the whole area and they weren't able to be located, I left. The fact that I wasted gas and drove over 20 minutes to get here to wait another 20 before even speaking with someone is so disappointing. If all I needed were to ask a question I'd just google it, driving here and then leaving empty handed simply because only one person had a set of keys, who was missing, is embarrassing. read more

This Target was better before the renovations and changes of layouts. But the worst thing about it is this one is always ransacked. Part of the reason is that there is no Target or alternative north of it up Route 15 which is full of developments. And it serves the area west of it where there is no Target or alternative west of it for a long way. So it serves a big population and that is why it looks like the Vikings ransacked the place. read more

We love our neighborhood target. It is sufficiently staffed, clean, and the employees are uniformly helpful when I need help finding something. The red card savings of 5% is a draw. It also helps that they have a CVS inside as well. read more

This Target used to be awesome before the pandemic. I don't know what happened but the staff they have now is absolutely horrendous. There are a few good people but the majority are too young and have zero retail skills or are just plain rude. Including managers. I had a traumatic experience there when one night my Soectra pump stopped working. My baby was exclusively fed human milk through that pump. I ran to Target and got there at 9:55. I had no idea the post Covid schedule was till 10 PM only. They used to be open till 11. I went to return my existing pump and told them I need to go grab a new one. They told me the register was closed so they couldn't ring me up. THE REGISTER I HAD JUST RETURNED A PUMP ON!!!!! So I asked for a manager. The manager was very rude, made me feel stupid because I didn't know they closed at 10, was not phased at all by the fact that I was shaking and in tears and I was telling him I cannot feed my newborn without a new pump. He told me to run and see if I can find one, turned his back on me and went about his business. I went and grabbed the one pump they had available and went to the self checkout since they had closed all the registers. When I rang it, it was 1.29 more than the amount they refunded for the same pump. I came in for an even exchange so I left my wallet in my car. I told the really nice gentleman that was supervising the self checkout ( older Indian guy from the old staff) that I need to run out and get my card. He said ok so I went out of the store, ran to my car, grabbed my card and ran back. THE DOORS WERE LOCKED. I kept banging on the doors hoping the old gentleman would look in my direction. He eventually did and came to open the door for me. I payed and left the store so traumatized, sweating profusely and panting like a hunted animal. Why? Because I inconvenienced them? I wasn't the only one in the store. I got out at 10:05 pm or so. The whole ordeal lasted 10-15 minutes so imagine the amount of running I had to do. Is it ok to put a new mom through that trauma over 5-10 minutes? I worked retail for 10 years but I never ever treated anyone that way. None of my employees would have treated any client that way either. Absolutely appalling. Since then, I go in if I absolutely have to, I always do self checkout and avoid interaction with the personnel. For the first time in my life I called corporate to complain and nothing was done. No one called me back. No one offered a gift card and said hey, sorry you had to pay extra for an even exchange. It was just a dollar but it's unheard of that a customer has to pay any difference for an even exchange. I didn't ask for the return. I specified I wanted an even exchange but the kid who did the return had no idea how to do that. Very disappointing.... read more

Ever since Target rearranged its store two years ago I've not been able to find what I need. It used to be my go to store. Last straw was when I needed an over the door hanger. One employee had no idea where it is (we were surrounded by wreaths). the other employee sent me to the general aisle of hooks and hangers. I'd been there before and they weren't there. This Target used to be a place I would go when I was feeling boujee or got a gift card but everytime I come the store has been rearranged. Honestly haven't been to Target in years but stopped in on Saturday for just a few items after leaving Costco. I needed limes, spring onions, coconut milk and a piece of raw ginger. The first three items were located right away but I searched high and low for the ginger. I was hoping to find an associate to ask - nope, not a sole around. I finally decided they are either out or don't carry it so I went to self checkout. When the woman had to come and clear my "needs assistance" (apparently scanning a barcode from produce will immediately trigger the needs assistance, you have to look them up manually) I asked if they carried ginger. She said yes and called an Associate to assist. She did warm me that the Associate was unsure where the ginger was and wasn't thrilled to help. Ridiculous waste of time. read more

I still get my prescriptions at Target (that's gonna change soon) so I stopped by yesterday. After picking up my meds from the friendly cashier, I requested a consultation with the pharmacist. He walks over, never greets me or even smiles, and asks for my name. I showed him my medication and asked if it would interact with something else I'm taking and he just waves his hand, very gruffly says "it's fine", and walks off without looking back. This interaction lasted three seconds. It was not a consultation, it was a dismissal. Then when I went to pay for my other purchases, the computer would not scan my phone (on which I had coupons and promos). I had to go to customer service where I had to return everything I bought and start all over again. I am so done with Target. read more

Always poorly stocked compared to Targets in other parts of VA. Self checkout staff are extremely weird. My sis and I checked out at about the same time. I'm lighter skinned but my sis is medium brown. The Indian male employee at the self checkout ignored me checking out and continued to goof off in the dollar section next to self-checkout. The minute my darker skinned sister approached a self checkout station, he ran back over to self checkout and watched her like a hawk. Weird. Only bringing this up because we've noticed this over and over since we started going to this Target. Staff at this location need massive retraining. It's embarrassing. read more

For some odd reason, there is a monopoly on department stores between the two chains of Wal Mart and Target (K Mart is dead and not coming back). Everything that Wal Mart is, Target is not; & vice versa which is a good thing. This target location is clean and have efficient and patient employees. Their grocery section is underrated as there are good deals to be found here in the produce and deli sections. It's a refreshing breath of fresh air coming to a department store that's not filthy or filled with fear/anxiety. read more

Nice store, updated. Terrible parking, especially with a Chik in the lot. Most of my review is about the pickup process during Covid. So the fact that you need to show ID and can't print out the barcode from your online order is much less than ideal. I have a similar process with Amazon but I can print out the barcode so I can hand the entire paper to an associate and not have to show them either my ID or a barcode on my phone. This is more of a call out to corporate to fix the curbside/local store pickup process. read more

The grocery section has been spirally declining in quality, freshness, and availability since September 2020. Shelves aren't as stocked as they used to be. Produce looks okay, unfresh, or spoiled. I've used curbside pickup a few times and receive spoiled veggies. I've been shopping here for food for years and am starting to question why food isn't as fresh as it once was. There is now an Ulta section in this store. 2/12 I stopped to ask an associate in that section about product availability. She and I were having a conversation while TWO other associates were working with another customer. One of the other associates approached the person helping me to ask a question. The person I was speaking with turned away from me to her and began talking, then proceeded to move away from me. Am I invisible? I walked away, then she tried to apologize. I spoke to a manger who also apologized and offered to help with what I wanted to purchase. It wasn't about the purchase, it is about how people are treated. read more

I love the store, but they should clean house in their bakery. I have attempted to order cakes on two occasions and the first time, they misplaced my order and I had to wait for them to make cupcakes for my daughter's school. Today, I attempted to order a birthday cake for my daughter and they refused to make it, as it required $75 min order to order a toy kit for my seven year old's birthday cake. I couldn't believe it, so I simply walked out. Their entire bakery staff is horrible. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This is the absolute worse experience that I have had with grocery bakery. I really am upset about my interaction here. I ordered my nephew a lego set for 69.99 and they were suppose to come with a promo 10.00 gift card. Well what a mess! When my husband picked it up the item, they said the gift card would be emailed. Well ...... never emailed. Then I received an email saying they were mailing the gift card. Ok no big deal! However, then they charged me 10.00 for my FREE gift card. When I called the store, I was told that I had to come back in and they would just give me the gift card! Horrible customer service. Well that's not all!! I called the 1800 number and I spoke to Janelle and was told that the 10.00 would be credited back. I purchased my last big ticket item at Target in Leesburg yesterday and let me tell you not only did the young man who helped me have a big smile on his face he was juggling 4-5 customers simultaneously and enjoying it. Its the little things that make for great customer service...a smile, making eye contact so you know you are not an invisible consumer, and remembering who was next so that things move along in an orderly manner. Typically a Thursday morning before lunch is not a heavy shopping time frame, but for some reason yesterday was...not to worry Shawn was on his game and got through all of us swimmingly! My retail hero asked what I needed, made sure it was in stock and immediately had it loaded on a dolly and a "helper" assigned to assist me in getting the prized gift into my vehicle. Thank you to the HR department or Store Hiring Manager for grabbing this guy....hang onto him (at least till he graduates college). When clothing goes on sale though you get a deal. I bought a suede and knit jacket for $17 when it was originally $70+!!! So I just moved to the Ashburn area. I was a little sad to find out the Target stores in Ashburn and Sterling weren't "super." In my previous neighborhood I had two Super Targets within a ten minute drive. I was thrilled to find this store in Leesburg. Not too much farther and it is a bonus it is right next to Costco. The store was clean. Employees were friendly, and I could get everything I needed in one spot!! This will be one of my monthly destinations. If only every Target could be a Super Target! read more

Murderous. I get it my order comes through, 2 maybe 3 teenage kids sit around and then decide to trot off to gather my goods. Now I don't know if that's the case or if it's because the system is glitched and/or not updating properly or quickly enough. Either way I'm not a fan and y'all need to FIX it. Who am I kidding. I will still come crawling back and cross my fingers that this time will be different. You said you would change, right? You love me, right? Do it for us! This Target is great for the Leesburg area. The store is clean, lots of friendly staff who are more than willing to help you find what you're looking for, and decent prices. The selection in the electronics is a bit smaller than most Targets I am used to, but perhaps it's to make room for the grocery section. There's also plenty of parking so you don't need to worry about looking for a spot. read more

This review is based of the bakery section of this Target. This is the second time my daughters birthday cake was done wrong at this store. Her first birthday (2016) I asked for yellow icing. They gave me pink. This year for her 3rd birthday, I spoke the a woman on the phone and she helped in person at the store when ordering. We decided in a Little Mermaid cake. She had all the designs in mind (was going to make the icing look like water and add under water details). Well, it was given to me today with absolutely nothing as we discussed. The Ariel print was in the center, with white icing and a border. No "water looking" icing or under the sea details. Very disappointed. read more

It's a Super Target; what can I say - just about everything you need at great prices. I buy tons of things here. Clothing (love the tee shirts), cleaning supplies, paper goods, and groceries. I used to drive to Charlestown to do big (stock-up for two months) grocery trips, but have switched to Target. The prices are about the same on everything and not such a long drive (gas prices - eek). I'm really impressed with their produce department. I do miss the McCormick specialty spices though. When Harris Teeter opens in Purcellville, I'll definitely shop there but my big hauls will still come from this Target. After all, a 24-roll pack of quilted northern is the same item so why pay more than you have to!!!! In case you get tired while shopping, there's a Starbucks in-house for a quick caffeine jolt. read more

The bathroom was clean, which was most appreciated by us (after our huge lunch out!). Lots of parking and totally wheelchair accessible. Prices seemed very reasonable, well, it's Target! read more
