As another reviewer said it best, this is like Walmart if Walmart was a pleasant place to shop. Lol. I like target because they seem to have more order and cleanliness than many other big box "have it all" stores. The check out lines are quicker and they also seem to have some additional local favorites not found in large chain stores. The downsides are the automotive section is very weak and there really isn't a garden section with things like fertilizer, house plants, pool supplies and items like that. Nonetheless, I can get in and out of here and have my groceries put away quicker than I can get out of the checkout at Walmart and that's reason enough to love this place. Enjoy! read more

This target is always out of stock. The drive up service is less than subpar. If you item is low in stock believe that they will not even waste their time trying to find it. It will just get cancelled. Lastly, the friendliness of the staff is absolutely terrible. I never meant one employee yet that was pleasant or caring. Mind you I have lived in a a few areas around the U.S. and this is the worst target I have encountered. Hope they get it together. read more

First and foremost, THANK YOU to Markeita and Amber for their exceptional customer service. They went above and beyond to assist me, i kept apologizing because i didn't want to be a pest, yet they were so polite and cheerful...thanks again gals! Here goes.... I went into target to price a few items that i saw on blogs, etc that were marked down from the holidays. One of them being a French Press coffee maker (~$40), now on sale 90% off! I find a sales associate, MARKEITA, who radioed for someone to tell her where the item would be. GARRETT sarcastically replies, "it would be by the other coffee makers". Markeita responded, I'm asking for a customer and proceeded to walk me to the coffee maker aisle where we met AMBER. The two ladies briefly mentioned Garrett's rude response and apologized, which they did not have to do. Amber took her time to look up the DPCI # which told us the item was out of stock. I'm no imbecile, i knew this item was special, thus it might be in a different location. Sure enough someone eventually said it was in Kitchenware, not "by the other coffee makers".....my point exactly. I also asked them to price this $3 lip balm that was apart of a holiday collection, it was still regular price but i know Target markdown anything Christmas after the holidays. Markeita asked if it was possible for a manager to adjust the price or if it would eventually go on sale. I'm assuming this is still Garrett, if not, it was another rude and lazy associate. Markeita after being told no, it's not marked down: "i understand if it rings up full price then that's the price, but the item specifically says 'holiday', it even looks like a candy cane, there's no way it can be marked down?" She received a delayed and lazy "nooo...sorry...the price is the price". Okay no worries, it's just lip balm. But geesh, i rarely meet employees where the associates are more helpful than the managers. read more

If you've never been to Target it's like Wal-Mart if Wal-mart was an enjoyable place to shop. I don't really go to Target for groceries because that is one area I can usually easily get my item cheaper elsewhere. I do come here for other things like clothes and home goods. I like a lot of the store brand clothes they have and they have a good variety of general decorative and other home items. Of the big box stores in Lafayette this one is, in my opinion, the best. read more

This Target NEVER has any of the products I'm looking for. They either don't carry it or are out of stock. And the checkout time is now as long as Walmart. Might as well go to Walmart and at least save money. read more

Staff is so friendly and helpful. All you have to do is ask and they will bend over backwards for you. Item not on the shelf? They'll hunt it down for you. Love Target. read more

Super Target A behemoth of a store....damn it's huge. The up side of a huge store is the ability to find multiple items on clearance. Yaay! I love Super Targets - there is always a candy bulk bin aisle where one can find Jelly Belly jelly beans!!!!!!!!!!! Yummy! Crappy part - big stores, long lines. read more

i had the worst experience at self check out. i parked my basket at the register and approached the clerk to ask her to scan the prepaid barcode for a shipt order. She (her name was Karen) turned around and gave me the meanest look she pointed at the register and told me "You can go stand over there!" i was so shocked i didnt know what to say. Then she said it again. Is this how target trains employees to speak to people? Just rude for no reason. it was so bad i waited to speak to a manager(kelly) and she made excuses saying that "Maybe she(Karen) was having a bad day. Thats not like her." That doesnt make it accepectable. She is working customer service. Do better Target! read more

We went to the tech side to buy some bluetooth earbuds. Unfortunately it was locked, and despite being the second person in line, it took way too long. Turns out only one employee has the key to unlock it. Seems like a bottleneck that could be easily fixed, but for some reason, isn't. read more

Prior to sharing a negative review, I always provide the merchant with an opportunity to respond and correct the situation, however; neither Target Lafayette nor Target Corporate have opted to respond. Recently I purchased two packs of Miyokos Vegan Butter Alternative at Target, noting their price was $1 less than Whole Foods across the street. Shortly after purchasing, I opened the first pack (within two days of purchase) and discovered what appeared to be a pack of mold rather than Miyokos. I then checked the second pack, exact same result. To assure that the problem was not with my refrigerator, I checked the remainder of a packet purchased from a competitor more than a month ago - no mold discovered. As advised to Target Lafayette and Corporate in my initial comments and email to them, this problem is indicative of poor storage and temperature control prior to sale. In my initial communication, I simply requested either a product replacement or a refund, what I received, instead; was zero acknowledgement and zero response. Come on Target, this is not an exceedingly difficult one to resolve! Overall, the Lafayette store is clean, pleasant and well stocked, however; please exercise extreme caution on buying refrigerated/frozen products from the grocery section, as this location clearly has an issue and seemingly is uninterested in responding or solving. read more

Idk why, but everyone in the building looked at me like they were wondering why I was there. The checkout people didn't speak to me except to vacantly utter my total amount owed into the randomly awkward air between us, without eye contact. They had me seriously paranoid that I had some poo on my face or my boobs were accidentally hanging out or something! But no. They were all just weird to me. read more
