I'm in this shopping center often, but they close at 5:30 and I'm always a bit too late. Vivian's has lots of really cute stuff and I mean LOTS. The space isn't very large but every corner is filled so it's kind of hard to really browse without bumping into something, which is nerve racking considering the signs throughout that say "You break it, you buy it". I was very precariously trying to look at everything while making sure not to knock anything off the shelves behind me, so if I had any complaints that's it. I went in to look at the Christmas clearance and found a few things for a steal, and the guy keeping the shop was so helpful and let me browse without being intrusive. He even told me about some of the things I was interested in that they had in the back (there was so much stuff they had MORE IN THE BACK) and gave me a few extra little gifts with my purchase. I noticed Office Depot carries a lot more than you might think so of course, I had to review it for y'all. If you have a certain kind of pen you love above all others, look no further than Office Depot. I love to write with felt tip pens for my journal, cards, letters..etc and I found a plethora of colors here to do just that. I am a sucker for beautiful stationary as well because that is just classy as hell, so I also picked up some beautiful stationary here. It's back to school season so they had all kinds of things catered to kids like fun backpacks, lunchboxes and water bottles and wow how I wish the Office Depot of the days when I was a kid gave me these kind of choices. When I was a kid I just liked the smell of new shoes, pencils and crayons. Ahh to be a kid today. After the sensory overload of the pens and shit we didn't have access of as kids I was able to find what I came for. I was helped immediately and friendly by Tynesha. Other office supplies-desks, office snacks, bookshelves, laptops, office snacks, banker stuff, lockers?, they fix Iphones somehow, folders, banker boxes, office snacks...pretty much everything. This location is close to my home and I frequent it to the tune of 6 to 10 times a year. The store looks to have been remodeled and is more organized inside. I can't think of a time when I have come here and they didn't have the office supplies I was looking for. They also have furniture and chairs so there is more than paper, pencils and erasers here. lol. The checkout girl was friendly and the staff was very helpful. I much prefer local bookstores, but I needed some literary gifts in a hurry, so I popped in here…read moreone night. Now don't get me wrong. I am all about a bookstore, any bookstore. Major ones are nice because they usually have lots of nice gifts, mugs and bookmarks. But I am also a fan of local bookstores with focus on local authors and dedicated shop keepers. I also love all the Little Free Libraries that are popping up in neighborhoods everywhere. JUST GIVE ME ALL THE BOOKS OKAY!? But I digress. This Barnes & Noble is really nice and large and there are inviting cozy chairs scattered throughout just beckoning you to sit and read a chapter or two. There's a little cafe here that serves coffee and tea and some sandwiches. I saw a book club meeting here and I thought what a great idea that was. I picked up some gifts for my fellow bibliophile friend and of course got myself a few things too. What?! It was for research. Yeah, research. :)

There is a music department with CDs and now Vinyl is back. There is a Starbucks attached also. I spent a lot of time checking out the pretty furniture and kitchen wares. They have many unique statement pieces that I can imagine and dream about in my home. Looking at a certain armoire I just couldn't stop thinking to myself, "I have the perfect spot for this beauty." I fell in love with an accent lamp and a gorgeous glass globe that would make a perfect gift for some of my favorite people...now if only I can talk myself out of keeping them for myself. :) The stationary department is another favorite place of mine. I got a new journal which I LOVE and was totally smitten with all of the party decorations and gift bags. Very unique and fun finds here, so don't pass this part of the store up.
