The mall is ok. Seems like as per most malls of today it is a dying thing. Some of the stores were out of business but still plenty there to shop at. I was here on a Tuesday afternoon and could have used it for a jogging track it was so dead. read more

Not too many options but the mall is pretty clean with your standard department stores like Forever 21, Dillard's and Francesca's. The food court leaves much to be desired however, as there are only 4 or 5 options and a majority of them feature Asian cuisine. Unfortunately, if you need to get done some real shopping, a trip to the Mall of Louisiana or the outlets in Gonzales might be your best bet. read more

Decided to visit the mall while my vehicle was being worked on at the Goodyear Service Center nearby. Actually walked throughout the entire Mall. I didn't realize there were so many places here. It seems the only time I come here is when I'm getting work done on my vehicle's at the Goodyear place. Nice and clean with friendly people working. read more

If you're looking for the ultimate in shopping experience without having to drive the far distance to Baton Rouge, this is your stop! This mall isn't as clean as you would expect and it has it's own issues (like faulty doors). The maintenance crew isn't too keen on fixing the issues, in addition. The roads surrounding the mall are horrific, but that's to be expected of a central retail location like this. Besides the issues, this is a really great mall. They have every shop you would expect and prices that are rather affordable. I would still prefer the Baton Rouge mall over this, but who am I to complain? :) read more

I travel a lot so my range of malls is everything from the strip mall in Maurice to the Mall of America in Minnesota to the West Edmonton Mall in Canada (largest mall in North America). Having said that, not all malls work in all places. The Acadiana mall is a good mall for the size of Lafayette and has a fairly good variety of shop and stores. JCPenny, Sears, Macy's and Dillard's somewhat surround the mall at its main entry points with the food court having a main entrance as well. The mall is all one level and has been updated many times over the years. It is clean, easy to get in and out of and has sufficient parking for the most part. Holidays can be a chore but that's no different than any other mall. The three stars are really for two main reasons. First, the parking lots and roads around the mall suck. Pot holes. Bad signs. Striping that isn't always clear on what's in and out. Secondly. The mall is on the smaller size and if it were two levels or even just doubled the foot court size with more seating I could add the extra star. For now, it's a nice mall that I will continue to visit, just not a great one which is sad because I live 6 minutes from it. Enjoy! read more

A wretched and unpleasant experience. Where do you start? The roads incoming to the mall have not been repaved and restriped since the mall was built in 1979. There are dangerous potholes on some of the roads that must be avoided. The approach to the parking lot in many places is also dangerous for lack of clear striping. When you get out of your car you are greeted to dirty and run down entrances at most of the mall doors, especially the food court. And the bathrooms at the food court are worthy of a paragraph all their own. Located at the end of a dank, long and narrow hallway, you must pass empty holes that used to house telephones and water fountains that have been covered with trash bags FOR YEARS. The bathrooms themselves have hardly been updated since the mall opened, and graffiti and gang tags festoon the walls and are not removed or painted over, besides the overall nasty condition of the human excrement left around and not cleaned. For a business that changed its name to Mall of Acadiana, perhaps to change its perception into an upscale shopping experience, its complete lack of concern over these details is inexcusable. No wonder Abercrombie and Fitch ditched this hell hole. read more

The Mall is really nice with great food and super nice stores and employees. The only bad thing the Lafayette Transit cannot drop people off at the Acadiana Mall. Therefore its a horrible hot walk from Ambassador Caffrey or Johnson Street. This means many who are disabled or elderly cannot get to your Mall. read more

I love the mall but the nail salon is horrible my mom had went there to get her nails done and she asked the lady could she do ombré acrylic on her nails and the lady said yes but turns out she couldn't the lady had to keep redoing my moms nails until my mom just said it was good enough when we got home she took the nails off and in telling u the nails were horrible I recommend to not go to the nail place read more

As someone who frequents the mall often, for the love of god get rid of the kiosk in front of the old gap/ bath and body works. Workers harass shoppers/ grabbed my boyfriends hands without permission and don't stop until you buy something. I understand business is business but these workers seriously lack professionalism and maturity! read more

Your typical mall, nothing special about it. If you're looking for a spencer's plus anything a Tween would want, you're in the right place. The reason why it's lower than my average is the road conditions. I nearly popped a tire leaving this place. Ok from the outside the mall is nice but if you need to use the restroom I'd advise you to stop prior to going. First of all the restroom is in the food court as most are. However, upon turning the corner to the restroom is smelled of urine. Umm who wants to grab a slice of pizza with a side of pee?? No ma'am. They should definitely be a whole lot cleaner. Oh and not to mention the bathroom actually had a puddle of pee in it. Ladies can we get it together!!!! This falls on not only the mall but also the people that use the restrooms! read more

Came here 2xs on my visit to Lafayette, LA. It was quite lovely. A lot of things are written in French here which adds to its charm. Why not 5 stars, it was quite warm in here, which seems the case in most malls in winter. Plus the directions were not clear at all on where the strollers for rent were, the restrooms ,and the different stores. Other than that, it was a very nice mall. I do say so myself. Lots of choices here, and a quite nice Sears store as well. They have a JC Penneys and a Macy's but, that is it for the big stores. Which is fine, I am told that if you want more selection you go to Baton Rouge. Chick fillet seemed to be the most popular, and the only place you could get a coffee in the mall. There is an idea for entrepreneurs. Open a coffee stand there. I rented my granddaughter a stroller there that was like pushing around a bus. Of course she loved it. It was like a princess truck, all pink and fancy. Even though she is four, it makes life a lot easier when there is no crying. Restrooms were not in the best of shape and the one in Sears was even worse. So bad that we decided not to use it. I would recommend the mall though, there is even a Sephora store there which I always love. read more

Eat before you go! and for goodness sakes DO NOT go to the bathroom!!! it is horrible! the food at Chao Praya was gross and the breadstick I got next door after I threw away my first meal was not much better! The mall was quite empty even though there were alot of cars parked outside. I found several cute shops inside which somewhat made-up for the horrible food court. The overall charm of the city makes up for what this mall lacks so I cut it some slack but if they want to keep this place open they better put some money into it cause when the new strip malls come to town it may be nighty night for this relic :( read more

The Acadiana Mall has had a recent update and is looking a lot better. Great place for a one stop shop for all of your needs. For the size of the city this mall has some of the main shopping outlets that almost every other mall has. The Food Court could use more variety but overall the mall is one of the nicer places to shop in Lafayette. read more

I give Acadiana Mall five stars because I have the best of memories visiting as a child, where I would watch puppet shouts at the sunken theater, sit under the blue waterfall, or toss pennies in the large, rambling fountain. As a teenager I would stroll with my cousins and munch caramel popcorn as we shopped. I remember that is was very clean, and fairly new feeling, except for J.C. Pennies which did have a slightly outdated entrance. I got my first bra here, saved for and bought a Barbie doll white horse for $11+tx. It was awesome! A very lovely, special place, that is, for me! Can't wait to go back, although my new mall is now Macy's in San Francisco. read more

HARASSMENT!! I have never in my life been so harassed as when I went to the Acadiana mall last Friday with my daughter. We were going to shop for her school clothes at American eagle, but before we could get to the store we were harassed by people selling face cream, after 10 mins of THAT, we walk 3 steps to be harassed by the flat iron people for another 10! They wouldn't take no for an answer and finally I had to get rude, which in ever do! These people made my mall experience very very horrible and I Will not be back till they rid of the people chasing you down!!! read more

The last time I visited this mall it was so dark and dirty that I did not feel safe. I had forgotten about that experience and was thinking about going Christmas shopping there next week because I wanted to go to Lafayette to the Whole Foods store. But, now that I am remembering the last experience I am not going to Lafayette. The outside of the mall was dirty and yes, the parking lots and streets around the mall are in really bad shape. The main thing is that it is just so dark and dirty and doesn't feel safe. Sad that a city the size of Lafayette doesn't have good mall. I guess from seeing so many stand-alone stores out on the streets, they have just decided to have strip-mall or stand-alone store and not have a good mall. That's too bad. I think Lafayette is missing out on people that would otherwise be willing to drive to their city to shop. read more
