We love Costco's "heirloom eggs" which are fabulous. Some of the baked goods. Certainly the meats. Some of the produce items. This afternoon's shop was easy enough as I managed to get here on a Sunday afternoon when it wasn't at all busy. Easy to grab a cart. Easy to shop. Easy to check out. Easy. But know that sometimes it's a madhouse and crowded! [Review 1174 of 2026 - 4823 in North Carolina - 26353 overall]

We…read morebrought my cousin and my aunt as they do not have a membership and we were talking it up that we love Costco, we have to go there to grab stuff for her baby shower. There were items that were going to be paid separately (via cash) when asked for a subtotal the cashier (Mary) was very rude, and said totals right there in black and continued to ring items. My cousin was paying for the transaction, cashier said, no it's our policy that the name on the card needs to match the member name. We did look later and saw that it is a true policy, however the three of us who have gone to Costco many times have had others with us who have been able to pay. She brought the manager (Joey) over, we explained what is going on, that we've never had this issue before and he said well just because you haven't been caught doesn't mean it isn't a policy. One I feel how the cashier could have been nicer, from what I've heard is it's always busy, but doesn't mean you can't be nice. Also, if it is a policy to make sure that the "name on the card matches the member" why do they not check cards for everyone who comes through their line? Two I feel the manager could have handled the situation better as well. Don't stand there and justify your cashiers poor behavior, pull us aside and talk to us. I'm sorry you're upset, this is our policy these are our options. Do better. I travelled from Minnesota to North Carolina to visit family. I ranted and raved that Costco was a great place and after this visit I can tell you they do not want to be members. Isn't the whole point of being able to bring a non-member is to get people to become members?

Majority of this locations inventory is not priced causing customers to miss out on buying products…read morebecause they don't want to price check the entire store. This almost results in excessivly long lines as the cashiers spend at least 5-10 mins per checkout waiting on a price check. Also the rudest employee base I have ever seen, they fight and cuss. Speaks volumes to management. I understand it's a discount chain but it seems this location is cutting ethics and morals more than pricing.

It's a bit of eclectic store, that seems to sell maybe close out items from other stores (?), or maybe even damaged product from stores and manufacturers (?). I'm not sure where their inventory comes from, but if you need it, you can probably find one in this chaos. They seem to sell a little bit of everything from snacks/candy/food items to books, toys, bedding, home decor/housewares and just about anything else you can imagine. Their prices are very reasonable, I assume to keep the inventory continuously rotating, and I imagine if you see something while you're there, you better get it, because they probably don't restock with the same product regularly. I won't totally knock it, because they've got good pricing on some items, other items are probably junk though, it's just a case by case situation. It's worth checking out if you're in need of odds and ends at reasonable prices.

Clerk in clothing department VERY cordial and friendly. After a few days, Dec 28 I decided to return to buy my adult female children another piece or two of Brighton jewelry and look over the discounted Christmas items. I had just started shopping and the sales clerk in the jewelry department, near the Brighton display, asked me in a harsh tone if she could help me. I assured her I was fine and continued browsing. She told me TWICE that any jewelry had to be paid for before leaving the area. Then she proceeded to try and take my basket as "it looks heavy and I can hold it at the counter ". I assured her again I was fine and when I was through shopping I'd pay for my purchases. I continued shopping, looking at the soaps and scented lotions. At this point she called security and told her I was SHOPLIFTING!! All I was doing was browsing and ignoring the rude clerk. I continued "shopping and browsing" for another 30 minutes or so & I could have done this for hours but tired of the reception and unfair accusation. I found another clerk to check out. I paid for my selected items, all in my basket, and left. I'm an elderly professional female, dressed appropriately for shopping and feel I certainly didn't appear homeless nor on drugs. I have absolutely no idea why the clerk "profiled" me as a "shoplifter"! I travel frequently for work and buy a lot of my jewelry in airport boutiques. I have also purchased a number of items of Brighton at my go-to-place in Greensboro. Afterwards I was sorry I didn't just fill my basket up, sit it down, then walk out. I'll be returning every item I purchased Saturday (over $500) at Salem Creek and making sure store management is aware of the way staff treated a potential high paying customer. I'll also make sure to let all my friends and colleagues know about the way I was treated by store staff! Very unprofessional.

We agreed on 2ish. Well, I arrived around 2:10pm at the restaurant when I get a text saying it would be closer to 3... I was so sad because I was really hungry. My friends tells me to go check out Kirklands, that's how I got here! I procrastinated a bit but it was around 2:20pm on Tuesday afternoon when I visited Kirklands for the first time. When I walked in, Fall time aroma was evident. If I had to guess, I would say the aroma reminded me of pumpkin and/or cinnamon. While looking around, I noticed ample Fall and Halloween decor. The store was running a 25% sale off for Labor Day. I saw some cute mini monogram pumpkins that were $4.19, but of course, they didn't hav a Z for Zay :( Other decor items included pillows, pictures, lamps, pumpkins, furniture, towels, etc. There were two tables with candles. I LOVE candles! The sale price was $8.99. I ended up getting two. One was "Teach, Encourage, Inspire" which was lemon, apple, pear as Summer is wrapping up and the other was "Cafe Macchiato" for the Fall time me or anytime lol. I didn't like many of the offering for seasonal aromas. I'm sure many others would enjoy it. The cashier present was Nancy. She was really friendly and helpful. When I walked in, she helped others but asked me if I needed help with anything and told me about the current sale when she was done. She did the same thing for each customer that came in after me. While checking out, the card machine had some issues and wouldn't accept my card. Around about 3 tries it worked. Nancy stated that "they" we're moving the line underground and wires may have gotten hit. I assume she had been having prior to me because after the first time, she said it wasn't my card. Nonetheless, no biggie. I saw many things that I would buy but nothing I needed. Some things were a big pricey for me too. I typically don't decorate for each season/holiday except Christmas. After my items were paid for, I left to fill my tummy with tacos and a jumbo margarita :)
