While you shop you can order some fresh coffee and other beverages on offer by the friendly and helpful staff. No high pressure sales here. Take your time there's alot to look at in this smallish space. If you are familiar w this shop and haven't been there in a while you may want to note that the shop moved further down the street away from Breathe Cocktail lounge but its still on the same side of the street. Eclection is a cool local place that stays true to its name. You'll find a little bit of everything there. They serve craft beer, wine, and pour over coffee. They have live music on certain nights and charity events on others. They are part wine bar, part cafe, and part consignment store. You can find arts and crafts from all kinds of local artists and artisans. This place is definitely eclectic. It is both warm and friendly while being somewhat trendy. I came into Eclection hoping to get a cup of coffee and settle in for a while to read. The pour over coffee that I was served was both good and reasonably priced. I believe it was Costa Rican, but I think they rotate their selections. The shop had free wifi and plenty of soft places to sit and read or do some work. My biggest complaint is that the music was a little loud towards the front of the store. I'm the type of person that likes the music in cafes and coffee shops to be relaxing and low. The service here is exceptional. The owner of the shop really took the time to talk with us and explain her concept. It seemed like just about everybody that walked in knew her and she could call all of them by their first name. If someone came in that she didn't recognize, she would take the time to ask them if they had been in and explain the concept and options to them. It is these little touches that make a local place so great. Eclection is a local place with good coffee, an eclectic atmosphere, and fantastic service. It is not a great place to get work done, if you are easily distracted, but I will be back to look through some of the local knick knacks for sale and to listen to some of the live music. Definitely worth at least stopping in for a cup or glass of something. read more

This is a really cute store with an ever-changing array of cool items (candles, soap, glassware, jewelry, clothing, some furniture, some antiques, etc.) from different local artists. It's definitely a "take your time" kind of shopping because the booths have so many interesting things. Whoever is working is always really friendly and welcoming. BUT, MAN OH MAN, they are terrible about ringing people up. They are notorious for leaving the counter unattended; sometimes, the person behind the counter is talking to someone over the counter about getting a booth set up, or talking about someone else they both either currently know or will eventually know in common. It's VERY annoying. I suspect they lose a lot of business thIs way. read more

I LOVVVE this place. Breathe has awesome music on the weekends, great selection of wine and beer, comfortable and casual environment. The owners are AH-MAZING, they are super friendly and awesome people. Definitely a must go!! Passing through Kernersville on our way to Raleigh from WS, my wife and I stopped in for a couple of cocktails at Breathe. What a chill, groovy place this is. Our drinks were an eclectic concoction but amazing. And the strawberry basil sauce over custard with a balsamic reduction, while odd upon first taste, was overly opulent and delicious. We loved everything about this place, and will be coming back when we find ourselves traveling through central NC. read more

Amazing little shop in Downtown Kernersville. Unfortunately, I heard it will be closing. This is by far my favorite shop when I visit my mom. My kids even love it. They feature local artists. Wish there were more places like this near me in South Florida. read more

Eclection, where oh where have you been? A cool little eclectic shop in downtown Kernersville that is part shopping, part dessert, part bar! Yes guys, go here with your significant other and while she's looking at some of the antiques or eclectic strange gift ideas, you hang out at a little bar area that has craft bottled beers, wines by the glass, and coffee! What a novel idea! Guy drinks his way through his wife's shopping, while she spends his wallet away! The prices here for wines and beers are extremely fair, and most of the gifts are as well. A couple of nights a week they have live acoustical music in the front of the store with comfortable seating available. This is certainly a trend that Belk, Macy's, WalMart, Kohl's, and all other big box stores need to follow! The guys will be happy to tag along! read more

This is the place to go for unique handcrafted items while sipping on a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. The front of the store is decorated beautifully with plenty of seating at tables or on the benches. The inside is dimly lit but very inviting. Each artists corner is decorated differently yet goes with the store. The atmosphere is so relaxing. They have different events like open mic night or ladies night on Fridays. Today was wine Wednesday and they had specials on select wines, 9 oz pour for 6 oz price. The handmade things are a little pricey $20-$200 and the art is pricey as well. Everything looks like it's made from quality things so I think it would be worth it. I found cute throw pillows 2 for $12. It is possible to find a great reasonably priced item, you just have to look for it. Which may be hard because there is something shiny and interesting at every turn. I used to be a frequent customer of Eclection, I loved the store, they created such an unique environment that no other place around had. The staff was great, they had free live music, which was always great local artist, however, when they stopped doing live music they ruined what they had. I've been in the store 3 times since they stopped doing live music, all 3 experiences were bad, a noticeable staff change, and quite frankly they don't seem inviting whatsoever, as the old staff did. The new lounge cost them half of their downstairs seating, which was also part of the draw, and they now have very limited seating, overall I never plan on going back, the staff almost seemed annoyed they had costumers. read more

Stopped in tonight for some last minute gifts after a company dinner downtown. The store has some great artists but the customer service was beyond awful. There was only one employee and a store full of people. The lady behind the counter was too busy chatting and filling drink orders to ring up the shopping customers. Ended up laying my gifts down and leaving after 20 minutes of waiting on chatty Cathy to even acknowledge the people in front of me. The man in line behind me me did the same. I found some great last minute stocking stuffers but apparently their focus is on being a wine bar and not a shop. I don't normally leave reviews but I am extremely pissed off I had to go to Walmart instead of buying local. read more
