I like coming to this target as I can get produce along with the odds and ends for my home. 9 times out of 10 I'll come here over Walmart or Winco. I respect their consistent sanitation practices on their carts and organization to to handle socially distant traffic. I'm a fan of the customer service, as they are friendly and helpful from the aisles to checkout. I am also grateful they will honor competitors pricing even if they have their own deals/discounts on items, which helped me land a new nespresso machine. I hope in the future they grow to have more self checkout stations as that's the usual bottleneck on a busy day! read more

Perks: Store is generally clean and very organized Buying certain items in-store gets you a store gift card which is really nice. Food section is really amazing and a very fluid shopping experience which is really nice. Variety in the produce section is lacking due to space but it seems like I'm nit-picking, Drawbacks: Noticed some employees are not trained too well during checkout, pertaining to WIC vouchers which could be a slight nuisance with someone like myself with a short attention span Overall you get better quality than Wal-Mart They have more registers open than their competitor Just a better experience overall and can't complain too much!! Target - Ho ho ho ho!!!! - Department Stores Near Me - Kennewick, Washington

Shopping inside is usually an okay experience. However, having a small baby we prefer to do pickup. Ever since Target began encouraging employees to talk our ear off about checking into the app for drive up our weekly trips have began to suck. Initially we thought this could be tolerable but quickly realized how resentful this makes us as we sat waiting for the young man to get off his soap box about the app and deliver our groceries. However, the interactions past that somehow still devolved. We live approximately 6 minutes from this Target and even if we follow their instructions to click "I'm on my way" in the Target app perfectly they will still begrudge us for something that isn't our fault because we arrive too soon. If there's no traffic we get there even faster and they get really mad. The micro aggressions are starting to snowball into macro aggressions. Staff intentionally ignore the driver to walk to my passenger door and act shocked when we don't open it. Additionally, not only did we ask these people to stop scolding us over something out of our control but they continued to argue! I'm not sure why this location has staff that says "I don't know what back left means". That should be common sense. It means the back seat behind the front passenger door. One staff member blatantly ignored where we selected to receive items in the app and intentionally opened the trunk and began piling in gallons of water onto my infants stroller. This is a customer service issue and an accessibility issue as we have handicap parking for a medical issue. Needless to say that they feel they should control every aspect of our experience, and we don't know why the Target app is asking us to select where WE want the items if the employee is going to IGNORE that and decide. The last time we went the employee seemed nice enough that is until she very sourly shook her head back and forth in a tisk-tisk manner. Wow! Walked in to Target to buy ice melt for our office the other day (as the work parking lot was a massive lake of ice). One of the staff at Target was nice enough to point my wife and I to the shelf where the product was located. I put 12 containers into my cart (leaving 4 on the shelf, not that this matters - there was no sign limiting purchases), and headed to the checkout. On the way to the checkout we said thank you to the staff person who showed us to the product and mentioned to them we had bought all except 4. The staff person smiled and said, "Oh that's fine. Have a nice day." All was well up to this point... When I got to the checkout (which, by-the-way, only self check out was open; I guess because there are not enough staff to run the regular checkouts), I was stopped by a manager who proceeded to tell me that I could not buy all of those containers of ice melt because it wasn't fair to other customers. Yes, that's right... he told me because it wasn't fair. Never mind that it wasn't probably "fair" that I had been running all over town, burning gas, looking for another store that still had ice melt in stock... Never mind that it wasn't fair that the store advertised a product and then didn't stock enough for people to purchase, but I digress... Ugh, don't you just hate people who say "I digress"... but I digress. For the record, there were no other customers in the store buying ice melt at the time (in fact, there was virtually no one in the store period - I think we actually heard a cricket) and, as I mentioned, I left 4 containers on the shelf, so I didn't clean them out entirely.... I can also promise you that if another customer had been there wanting to get some ice melt, I would have been generous and shared... but that is a choice that should be left up to me, NOT the store... and if the store wants to regulate "fairness" they need to clearly advertise their intentions. The manager insisted that it wasn't fair to others and that only 3-4 at most would be allowed. I said to the manager, "Not fair? I don't understand... I am paying for this product with money. That isn't fair?" He said, "Sorry, we can't allow that, we have to be fair to everyone, but I will allow you to keep 8 and I really shouldn't do even that." At this point he proceeded to reach into my cart and remove the extra containers. I was a bit upset, to say the least. (Even the last cricket in the store was huffing)... Once again, just to reiterate, there were no signs anywhere saying that purchases were limited to 4. I'm pretty sure the State has laws regarding false advertising and consumer rights to purchase products as advertised (and if the store doesn't allow the purchase of those products as advertised. I was not allowed to purchase my desired (and might I add NEEDED) quantity, which was readily available on hand, because (in his words) "it wasn't fair." Sorry, I do not believe that's a legitimate reason to deny product to a customer, especially when it is advertised plainly as for sale. If anything wasn't "fair" it is that I was not allowed to purchase clearly advertised product. Did I mention it wasn't fair? Seriously though, what country does this store and manager think they are living in? Can you imagine me owning a coffee shop and filling the cups half way or turning customers away because, "Sorry, we just want to be fair to everyone. We have to make sure that everyone in town can have some coffee." Oh brother.... Isn't the whole point of a business putting something on the shelf for sale TO SELL IT??? Isn't that called a good business day? What do I know... I can't even get to the front door at the office because I'm out of ice melt and slipping everywhere along with all our customers all over the place and this isn't fair! Anyway, I didn't fight with the guy. I kept my cool. I purchased the 8 he allowed me and left... but I won't be back to shop at Target again EVER! Unless I'm feeling trans-gendered and need to use the bathroom. ;) Like I said, I won't be shopping at Target again ever. read more

The cashiers are always friendly and I am there 5-6 times a week as it's the only store between all my after work stops. I appreciate the grocery department so incredibly much for the easy stop in and grab something for dinner times. Just wish they carried more of the products I use daily in my home. read more

I hearts Target. There, I said it. I'm a Target addict. dunno why, but I go here often. I go here or some other Targets at least once a week, Went to Target with a lot more frequency when I was living in Bellevue. Their restroom is located in the front of the store which is good. Price Checkers are abundant and evenly located throughout the store. Shopping baskets are conveniently place at the end aisle of each department. Within my wardrobe these days, are mostly Target and Target supply brands. Got them mostly on clearance. This Target opens at 8 and closed at 10 on Monday to Saturday and open until 9pm on Sundays. I think all Targets in the state of Washington has the same hours of operation. (nope, the store in Redmond opens until 11pm) Rumors has it that Target has the best anti-shoplifting security around. So when I enter a Target store, all their ceiling cameras would be on me, because I fit their profile. Maybe that's the reason I go to Target; to get some attention? read more

No seat covers in the ladies room? No paper towels in the ladies room? Overall grossness--no bueno. This store has recently been remodeled (remodel may actually not be complete yet), so everything might not be in the right spot yet. I found it quite difficult to find what I needed. I literally live 7 minutes away from this Target location and I drive the extra 10 minutes to go to the Queensgate location due to the nastiness of this one. Whoever manages this location should find a different job because it's awful. If you are an out-of-towner, please for the love of God go to the location located on Queensgate in Richland because the Target in Kennewick give the Tri Cities a bad name. read more

I will not spend another dime in Target! They refused to take any action in reimbursing me for money that they clearly took out of my account. The initial charge was for $4.26. That was the only transaction I made. So why would $80 showing on a separate transaction be deducted from my bank account? The charges are on the same day. My bank representative said that it shows that Target received the $80 and my bank statement also says and confirm that Target received and charged me for that $80. Even after showing proof of the situation Target Representatives still refuse 2 help in any way at all. I would advise anyone who shops at this thieving and unprofessional location to not run the risk of having your money taken from you by simply swiping your card. I have a family and two kids and can't believe something like this would happen and not have an attempt to resolve unreimbursed. Shame on your company! read more

I like target, (near Columbia center) which is where I shop. I find the prices are fair and the employees nice. i have no complaints; IF I did, I would ask for the Manager. I have done that several times at different stores. The ladies with the 2 year old, wish you would've taken the time after your neice was found to be okay, and talked to the Manager. Most of them would've appreciated knowing. In turn they would have made some changes with their employees so they would know what to do if it happened again. Horrible customer service!!!! I use to shop the Kennewick Target all the time when I worked nearby & have all my prescriptions filled there. Now I work closer to the Target in Richland but because they have been so good to me in the past, I keep using the Kennewick Target for filling my prescriptions. Today I needed to buy some cat litter which was on sell for a really good price. Yes, I went to the Target store in Richland first. But they only had two boxes left & I wanted to stock up with more. Since I didn't want to do a rain check, I drove over to the Kennewick Target. I loaded up 4 boxes (no limited on sale sign) & went to the self check out because the cashier lines were really long. When told the self check out employee that I needed to use 4 coupons (limit one coupon per item), I was told that I could only use one coupon for my purchase! I proceeded to tell her that I had already used two coupons at the Richland Target for the same purchase & they didn't have a problem with it. Her response was "oh, we can't do that!" So because of the shallow intelligence of this one person, I simply walked out leaving my cart full of items I had intended to purchase which I am sure totaled over $100. Is this how you expect to keep customers? My next step will be to change where I purchase my prescriptions from now on......... Richland Target. I can understand David Y's complaint regarding the ice melt. Guess some places just don't want our business. Fine with me. Their loss! read more

I normally love coming to this location but the last few months have made me think twice. The new layout would be nice except i can't find anything! It seems there is no rhyme or reason as to where things are located. Went in during my lunch break for groceries. Upon trying to pay, the first register (#8) credit card machine reader 'broke' so we had to switch register (#6) and re scan all the groceries except that register wasn't reading the items, so I couldn't event get around to paying! By this time, my lunch was over. I left the groceries there and needless to say will not be returning to Target! Alberston's is the road, I'll shop there instead. read more

I love this store. The customer service does meet and sometimes exceeds my expectations. And I have been ib retail for 38 years and 12 years was spent as a customer service supervisor. They're always willing to help the customer. If it's to help with a product. Show where something is. Or simply to answer a question. And the best part is a lot of their products are organic. Went here the other night on a mission for pumpkin spice kisses. I went straight to the Halloween area. Browsed and didnt locate myself. A worker there (wish i could remember his name and the other guys) radioed to see if it was available. Then a second worker that was facing products in the neighborinf isle popped over and helped look. He found it almost right away.
