    Rat feces in bacon bits

I purchased Kirkland brand bacon bits. When I opened a bag there was a rat turd right on top of the bacon bits. I called and talked to the manager and was told that he would pull the bacon bits immediately. I went in this morning to show him the rat feces and was told this is the third bag that they've had returned. and they also had the same issue a couple months ago. The only thing that Costco would do is give me my $8 back for the bacon bits and they did not pull them off the shelf. People are still buying them. When I talked to the store manager and showed him the feces he asked me if I wanted another bag or my money back. Duh, I'll never buy them again. I said that is all you're going to do and he said you're welcome to contact Hormel, the packager.

How about a satellite store in Walla Walla? If not for the 50 miles between me and this store, I'd be here for my groceries all the time and other items. Who doesn't need the latest techno-gadget? Or 24 of the one item that brought you in to begin with? Bulk. Quality bulk. Does anyone actually walk in here and buy just what's on your list and not one thing more? Not me. And, let's be honest. How many of us have had a meal of two on those days with free samples? If you wander around, you can have a three course meal with drinks by the time you've sampled everything. Costco: gotta love it, but know thy prices. Not everything is a steal of a deal even for the quality or quantity for that matter.

Stopped by here to refuel. Picked up few stuff. Busy Costco. There were long lines even before they are open. Huge and organized store.

Ever since the Costco opened in Richland this location is awesome in terms of parking, checkout, and unattended carts in the middle of aisles.

But, they open twice a year for two weeks each time, once in Spring and once in Fall, to the public! What does that mean and why is it exciting? Because, this nursery up-pots their trees on-site. They have professionals that know what they are doing, watch the trees develop, and nurture them to health and maturity. Trees are available from 10 gallon pots up to 45 gallon pots and all at prices much lower than other local nurseries or big box stores, and much healthier too! They provide information on establishing your newly planted trees, and if you order a large tree such as one in a 45 gallon pot, they can arrange to deliver your tree on a flatbed trailer on one of a few scheduled days of local deliveries. For a small extra fee they will warranty your tree for one year. It will still be cheaper than other local places that warranty their trees included in the original price. I highly recommend purchasing trees to enhance the look and value of your property and this is a great place to buy from if you can plan ahead or get lucky enough to be looking around the time they are open to the public in Spring or Fall. They are a bit of a drive out of town, but well worth it in my opinion. We purchased an 18' tall birch tree (in 45 gallon pot) and a 7' tall japanese maple (in ~25 gallon pot?). We are very happy with our trees, though the japanese maple did incur some small scrapes to the trunk and a few branches during the move, I think it will heal nicely. The japanese maple was a grafted tree and it's beautiful! Everett, the owner, came over to look at the tree as I thought it could have had the trunk buried which could be a problem in the future. He happened to be in the area and came over in 10 minutes to help me figure out what to do. I really appreciate this kind of considerate and real customer service that can be hard to find these days.
