Last week my family and I took our monthly trip to Costco. The trip went well until check out. The lady boxing up our items was hacking up something nasty and non stop coughing to the point she had to step away. She should have not come to work at all. I want gonna say anything but my whole family has been bed ridden and sickly all week since our trip. You guys should be more covid aware or just more cautious of your employees working on the daily. Remind them to stay home when they are sick specially when they are coughing. I will no longer bring service to this Costco as well as reporting you to the CDC for not following proper covid laws/guidelines. I've always had a good experience shopping at Costco and realize that the employees are under stress. However, recently, my mother (who is no more than 5'1" tall and suffers from back pain and arthritis) went to Costco's Tire Center on Monday Nov. 16th to buy two 40+ lb. batteries for my father's truck. The batteries were kept on a shelf above her head and when she asked the employee working that afternoon for help getting them down he replied with "Nope, can't help you. I have a bad back so you'll have to get them down yourself." Okay, understandable but when she proceeded to ask for some sort of cart or for him to get another associate to help her, this employee still REFUSED to help my mother. In fact, it was another CUSTOMER that ended up helping her. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service my mom was provided and had I known this employee was going to be so rude and unhelpful, I would have gone with her myself. I hate to think of any family member or friend being treated this way. read more

I used to be so-so on Costco, but now I am a huge fan and go waaay too often. The key is to have a plan when you go. See my tips in parenthesis, and at the bottom of the review. My favorite things: 1. Their return policy...just bring it back. Don't need a receipt or a reason. If something is not working for you, that is ok. I have seen salad and bread brought back (TIP: I had a friend who used to work in the meat department. A co-worker, with pride, said he would expect a "member" to bring back the meat if he didn't like it...so bring back whatever you don't want). 2. Food court...it is cheap, good food. Not a huge selection (TIP: Know what you want, and tell them. Pay in cash because they don't take debit. Be ready to grab your food and change). 3. Food samples. 4. Clothes...they have really good deals (TIP: If you see it, and think you might like it, buy it! Some of those items are such good deals that the item the following weekend. Remember, you can always bring it back.) 5. Good food. I appreciate eating good, quality food. I stock up on burgers, bacon, fruits and vegetables. 6. Deals on other items...Keep your eyes open. I bought a Yeti style ice chest that would have cost $450 at the local sports store...my price $250. Fishing pole...$40 with reel that would have been $70 at local sports store. They sell only quality items, and they discount it as low as they can. I once heard someone on the radio say that Costco aims to charge an extra 19% above wholesale. Many places charge 100% above retail. Here are a few more tips: Have your card ready. Have it ready when you walk in the store, and when you are ready to pay. In fact, when paying put it on the first item. Stay on the outer edges of the store. There are 4 main aisles. Use the ones on the outer edge to avoid people. Pick a check out line, and don't stress about it. It looks long, but you will get through it quick enough. Just think about all the money you are saving. Finally, don't give up on this place. I did the first few times I went, but a co-worker was always wearing nice clothes and he mentioned that he got them at Costco cheap. I started shopping at Costco again, but now I do it with a plan. Now that place, which I agree can be a zoo, is easy to shop at and saves me tons of money. read more

Don't ever try going here on a weekend, not even right when they open. They need to open another Costco in Pasco or Richland...this one is always too crowded. People who shop here are often extremely rude and walk right in front of you (slowly of course, without looking first or saying anything) and stop in the middle of a busy aisle to text, or my personal FAVORITE: when they stop in the middle of the aisle right by the entrance, screwing up the flow of traffic. Just today, some moron was digging through her purse looking for her membership card while blocking the whole entrance (don't ask how many kids she had)-- c'mon people, get your card out before you even leave the car. Overall, it's annoying to shop here because it's packed full of people who are oblivious to others. I love their furniture, but sometimes you have to be careful about the quality. Also on the good list: $1.50 Hot Dog and Drink, Very Berry Sundae, Swirl Yogurt, Churro, Chicken Bakes, huge muffins, giant packages of Dry Erase Markers, reasonably priced rugs, and nice home decor stuff. Cashiers are pretty quick and friendly. And, Costco has a pretty unbeatable return policy. I also have had really good luck with their optical department. read more

My biggest complaint with this store is this: I took my old Nissan here for tires, but I only needed two. I told them put the two new ones on the front, since it's a front-wheel drive car. They tell me, they can't do that. The new tires have to go on the back. Company policy, based on the Michelin brochure the guy points to when I ask why. Two problems with this - first, I ask for an explanation, and the tire guy can't explain it to me, he just points to some brochure (which didn't explain it either). Second, they have some fold-out Michelin brochure saying new tires go on the back. I only have this little thing called PHYSICS saying they are better placed on the front. Anyway, other than this ridiculous policy, I don't have any other complaints with their service. They're fast, and have never made any mistakes. They're not especially friendly or helpful, but it's a warehouse store so it can't really be expected. They may or may not have what I'm looking for, just like the rest of the store, but if they've got it their price will be better than anyone else's. But the stupid new tires on the rear policy just leaves me completely confused. read more

I really like Costco, but this particular warehouse is a zoo. People swarm the place, and behave rudely in the parking lot. Workers here seem a little harried, but still pleasant enough. I am a Costco addict! I love shopping here because they have the best return policy of any store. We finally took the plunge and bought a flat screen tv (200 lbs box died). The prices were better than Best Buy and I knew we could return the tv if we were not happy. A year later and we are still happy with our tv. I was looking for a new camera. One of the display models didn't have the battery charged, so the red vest guy told me I could take one home and try it out. If I didn't like it I could return it. Well, I didn't like it and returned it with no problem. I now have the best camera ever and I could not find the same deal anywhere. We bought leather furniture here. Ten years later and it still looks great. The glasses department is wonderful. I have double coverage, but I think it's stupid to pay $300 for Gucci frames when I can get similar designer frames at Costco for $100. Plus the lens' are a lot cheaper than the eye doctor. Also, you can get great deals on designer sunglasses here. I buy salad, eggs, milk, bottled water, ground beef, steaks, dog food, cat food, laundry soap, bath soap, toilet paper, beer, and nuts here. The quality is top notch. Sometimes we try something new and it's never a risk. I wanted to try the Alfredo sauce, it was kind of expensive and tasted nasty. I took it back. My daughter wanted to try almond butter. Sounds good right? No, it's gross. Took it back. You can't do that at WalMart. I recently bought new cell phones at Costco and got a better deal than I would have at the phone store. In the new coupon book they had $30 off two of the phones I bought. No problem. They do price adjustments within 30 days. As for the membership fee, if you are not satisfied they will give you your money back. I have the executive membership and I never have to pay for it. I get more than my member fee back every year in the rebate thing. read more

For $3.10 I can get a loaded hot dog, a drink and a frozen yogurt. I'm a fan of Costco and I do shop here. Seen one Costco seen them all, they are the same. I'm going to address whether you can get an RV up in the parking lot. Don't even try it. Both access points are sloped very steep. Your RV will possibly scrape bottom. I didn't see any other place nearby to park and walk over. The other stores around have very small parking lots. Thus, you can't get your RV up to the gas station, either. My only complaint about Costco is that it's IMPOSSIBLE to buy ONE item. I suspect that the heating element in the doorway is actually a brain zapping ray and thus once you get into Costco, you will make unnecessary purchasing decisions on things. Starting in April 2016, all Costco stores will start accepting VISA (YAY) and will no longer take Amex. read more

Costco is well Costco... Overall this location is great, and has the wide selection that you would come to expect as a regular shopper. It's always pretty busy and hectic, but the employees are helpful and knowledgeable when the location of an item has changed. Few cars in the parking lot yet there is a long line wrapping around behind the building because someone thought it would be a good idea to limit entrance to 1 cart at a time,,,,,with far too much time in between. How does this separate customers once they're in the store? Another thing. You can save at Costco, especially on gas. But you have to be careful to get only what you go in to get or you can come out $$$$ overspent. It's too easy. Also compare their prices with other places. For example, their furnace filters are almost twice those at Target or Walmart. The crowds are a bit annoying too. And the long lines. I do like the pharmacy though. Very friendly and personable.
