9/19/24 You know you're in the 'hood when there's a squad car on standby at the front.... and a code to get in the restroom, with the sink is all tagged up, finding a hoodie in the trash and a "roach" (at least it was not lit) on top if it, and a lit incense hanging on the edge of the sink to mask the smell of the small roach left behind. Was planning on picking up a couple of things but decided to just use their facilities in the meantime. A code was needed so I head over to ask a staff & he said he would let me in after locking the till, but another member offered to do so. I followed her and she enters the code after knocking on the door. The single stall restroom (they have 2) was fairly clean, stocked with TP, no paper towel, just the hand drier. Please see description above. The whole store appears to be fairly empty at 10 am on a Thursday. Everything looks neat & organized. It's not the employees or store's fault that the surrounding community is a bit on the sketchy side but I find myself questioning whether I would willingly shop here given what I have just seen at the restroom or the fact that a police cruiser is parked in front of the store, maybe coincidence? When safety is a huge concern, it would probably rank as my least favorite location. Again , nothing against the store or the staff, please note that. read more

Automatically I knew these employees have horrible customer service!! I called to speak to a manager or supervisor in regards to an application yet the employee proceeded to hang up on me! Even if they did end up keeping their DEI policies, the sole amount of personal care products locked up behind glass and having to wait an average of 15-20 minutes for an employee to unlock it is enough to get me to stop shopping at this location (or, at the very least, cut back). I recommend ordering online for in-store or curbside pickup. This is a smaller store, so its selection is limited. Good for quick/essential Target Runs. Also, no, despite what that sign says outside of the store, there is a good chance you are not getting that job here-- trust me, I and a lot of others have tried applying as well :( As for customer service... no comments. I am a fellow elder Gen-Z'er who has worked customer-facing jobs before, so I know how it is. 2 stars because the store is very clean and spacious. read more

I walked in and heard employees at 2 different times just cursing and talking about their personal life's.. even while ringing me up, employee didn't bother to greet or anything just continued to talk while cursing.. not professional especially when there are kids around! read more

When you go to any store that sells anything essential you expect them to have it, or at least the common courtesy to refer you to a similar product or let you know that another store might carry said item. THAT IS NOT THE CASE AT THIS PARTICULAR TARGET .. THE EMPLOYEES HERE ARE ASS YOU CAN LITERALLY HEAR/SEE THEM DO EVERYTHING TO AVOID CUSTOMERS ! .. like what ?! I went in to buy under eye patches. The customer service associate has the audacity to say " Oh that item is discontinued" How is Papatui eye patches discontinued when I'm looking at the available product on the Target app and i already know that the Firestone location has them. Mostly everything is locked up. The employees ask if you need help with finding anything but when I go to the areas that are locked up which is A LOT of stuff it takes a long time for anyone to show up. I had to ask someone to bring someone and they seem frustrated that they had to unlock the items. Beyond this experience, it's nice to have a target near by. read more

Contrary to everyone's opinion on this target, I'd have to review otherwise & talk about my positive experience. It's true, it may be a smaller target but everything I needed in different sections that weren't available at local targets by me were available at this location (scrub daddies, seventh generation disinfectant spray, certain packaged salads, a book). It was also very clean and appeared organized that I could've been fooled if someone told me they just opened! What I really liked though were the employees I encountered. I picked up some oranges that were priced different from when I scanned them on my app & an employee I mentioned this to went out of his way to bring the price to the register saying "it's our fault, we'll change that for you. Sorry about that" and even asked how my day was going & if I found everything I was looking for. Also, the employee at the register was also all smiles as if she really enjoyed her job. by far the worst customer service! I clicked the button to get assistance for an item that was locked up and they took 20 mins and I after I went to find someone and I just got told "someone will be right with you" and they no one arrived to help me. Also some fatty was being rude just starring at me and didn't even say "excuse me" so she can pass by! she then rolls her eyes like she got a mouth to speak but maybe she was out of breath to speak but whatever. also the workers there are so rude like some dude named Jesus I believe I asked him where can I find a item and he completely ignored me and was just on his phone. I was excited when I found out they were going to open a Target around this area. This location is smaller than your average Target. This location carries the essential you would need (ex. medicine, household products, food). It also has a Starbucks inside. They're still finishing up work inside and getting it ready for their official opening day (11/6). I see myself going there on a weekly bases since it's down the street from my house. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing. read more

I was so excited when I heard that a Target would be opening up here. I am an avid target shopper especially if it has a Starbucks inside! It is a small Target so don't expect it to have everything you need, however it has all the essentials. Each section is extremely small but not bad. I am giving it two stars because of the restrooms deserve -3 stars. The two restrooms they have available are so so so GROSS. They're so DIRTY. They STINK and it makes you want to GAG anytime you are near the restroom area. They both stink so bad that even waiting in the long line you can't help but notice the smell wafting through the air. It's extremely disappointing since it's a new target but their restrooms feel as though they're "10 year old public park restrooms." AVOID them if shopping here. Maybe they shouldn't sell coffee at this location lol read more

Service was absolutely horrible here, I asked for help looking for an item from two different associates and was not helped.

I will give it a zero. The employees are not helpful at all. You need a code for the restrooms. It took 3 employees to try to get a hold of just to see if they can open the restrooms. I was trying to complain to an employee named Alice but she wasn't no help AT ALL. The shelves are bare and it's small. Target messed up big time by putting one in Huntington Park. This one is by far more ghetto than the one in South Gate. Never coming back here. Run don't walk far away from this awful place. Also I think Target or Yelp took down my review. This is my second review. It was much longer and explained the incompetence of their employees. read more

Been going to this target since it opened and now I go get diapers and wipes for my baby girl here. We got a box of wipes that clearly says 8 but when we opened the box and took them out it only came with 7. This is the first time we notice it happened and don't usually call stuff out but maybe someone else had an experience like mine then can't say something's going on. read more

Well .... They tried. It's super small. Hardly any space for the amount of people traffic . Needed more parking spaces . Not enough inventory . Starbucks sucks also. Out of most items .. order a simple basic hot chocolate they couldn't event get that right. Disappointed Target trip. read more

The only reason I'm giving this store a 3 star is because the parking is super dirty and also the restroom. You guys should have someone clean the parking lot a at least every morning. Okay so I been lagging to give this target a chance cause of comments. To be honest it is small compared to nearby targets. But here's the thing what does society expect of this target and it's location??? We have high schoolers who may think it's cool to go and steal we got homeless on its streets and constant building fires. Not only that but the area is prone to robbers. My question is what would you as a business owner do if people wanted a target close but the area isn't all that great??? It's small but it's essentials. The employees are nice. We expect employees to be all great when we are rude ourselves. We as humans need to be kind to receive kindness. if restrooms need code well again homeless and drug addicts. When this place opened it was my go to Target...always stocked and had what I needed...recently that has changed and I couldn't understand why until today .... The employees essentially call dibs on items as I saw one purchasing items that I could not find anywhere in the store that I was looking for.. worst of all it looked like the entire stock that was put on display... very disappointing read more
