Womens bathroom at this location is horrendous. All toilets dirty with pee and other stuff all over. Broken doors. No soap, and dryers don't work. Wouldn't expect this from a target, most of them are exceptionally clean. I give this a 1/10. I was going to give it 2 stars but then I got a WARM iced macchiato at the Starbucks. read more

I've never seen lines in a target like this store. Stuff was everywhere, sticky floors.

I have to say that ordering from Target has been amazing during the Pandemic! No price gouging! Items came within a few days, usually before the estimated date! I waited for weeks for Amazon Prime & Walmart items, but not with Target! Awesome job!! read more

Worst target I've ever been to over the span over 15 states in my life. More employees and stock in the aisles than customers. Be safe in there read more

These guys just told me that I cannot have my service dog in the store. Instead of asking me if she was a service dog first, they told me to get out! You fight for the country and Target tells me I'm not allowed in their store with the support I earned. #boycotttarget This location is the most mismanaged site I've ever been to. Terrible employees... if they have any staffed. Must of the produce is old and the store seems like it's in perpetual disarray. read more

I came here with my sister to buy a board game that we wanted for some time. And right from the get-go I actually could somewhat tell that the employees didn't exactly care about the customers. When we came inside, we were clearly trying to figure out where the board games were and several employees were just standing there doing nothing but talking amongst each other. And as a fellow person who works in retail, I could say that really is upsetting because it made it seem like they didn't care about the customers at all. There was also an incident with the Starbucks that is located inside the store. Unfortunately I can't find a page for the Starbucks of this location alone so I shall tell all of what happened when I went to the one at this location. Overall, the line went pretty quickly. But the cashier was clearly more engaged in her conversation on her cell phone than she was with the customer that she's supposed to be taking the order of. She didn't even ask me if I wanted my receipt and walked away from the register to continue talking on her phone. Then the person that was making my and my sister's drinks was a bit unsanitary with hitting one of the tools against the garbage can, which was just plain disgusting. read more

This place gets 1 star, I never liked target but because it close to my work I have no choice. Believe me I would go somewhere else. They never have items you need. The place is not that clean and the employees are rude! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else don't shop here. read more

I love Target. The prices are reasonable and the variety of the merchandise is impressive. I go to Target for fun. However, my fun was ruined when I went to my beloved Target to make a return. I was returning a pair of Target brand black flats- $15. I had tried them on in the store but upon trying them on in my house, i realized that they were not the right fit or style for me. They needed to be returned. Unthinking, I had thrown my receipt out but this had not been a problem before. I headed to the customer service counter and was greeted by a young woman. We exchanged pleasantries, I explained my purpose there, and was then bombarded by accusations. She examines the shoes and informs me that "These have been worn outside." and that she cannot take them back because the bottom is dirty. (If the bottom was dirty it is because the floor in her store is dirty) I tell her they have not been worn outside. She continues to insist that they have been worn outside, I continue to tell her they have not. Finally, she says "I'll do it this one time for you", apparently still believing me to be a liar. She then continues to create fantasies, telling me that next time, I must return the shoes to the Target that I purchased them from. Another false accusation that I attempt to correct, I purchased them from the very Target we were standing in. In the end, she takes the shoes back but treats me as if I am a scammer. I work in retail. I know that scammers exist. But I also know the value of good customer service. This target employee did not. I'm giving three stars because Target is great. The prices are right, the items are many, and the store is clean and functioning (apart from the bathroom). However, certain employees require better training. read more

What happened to the great Fairfield Target of yesterday? Shelves very frequently empty and not restocked very quickly. New layout not nearly as inviting to go 'wander and shop' at Target. Messed with a good thing :(. Hard to find a register without a long line due to only a handful of open registers. At least in that department they are much better than the Parsippany Target where I've been and there were no cashiers...don't mind self checkout unless I have a cart full! No thanks. read more

Like other Targets we have visited, it seems that they are getting rid of all their cashiers. Tonight we went there at 9 o'clock and they had one cashier on duty. A while back they seem to replace a big chunk of the registers with self checkout expecting you to do the work for them while not getting paid. Meanwhile the store is becoming more and more messy and less and less organized. I also do not like when store start taking down the sale signs before sale is over I knows this happens earlier and earlier on Saturday nights when we go to stores. So if you are looking for a sale item and you're not sure exactly what it was you will miss it. Or if you know exactly what it is you may doubt yourself and not buy it because you don't think it's on sale when it is. While looking for a medicine that we asked if they had a generic type. We asked an associate if they had a generic and she pointed out that they did I looked it up for us unfortunately they were out of stock of the item. But it is very important to have employees helping out on the floor or as cashiers! We are not there to do her own work for us. Large companies like this need to learn that the more employees you hire, as long as they're good employees, the more we want to shop there. The less employees you have, the less customers you will have. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped into Target yesterday soley for the purpose of picking up a new coffee maker and disposable coffee cups for our Monday morning coffee. Well, an hour later, we emerged with a new coffee maker, assorted bags of candy, toilet paper, tongs for cooking (?!), and a few other gizmos and gadgets. Ummmm.....yeah. Wasn't until we got home that we realized that we got our new coffee maker, but no cups! But what disappointed us the most was the fact that we kept reminding ourselves about the cups, but kept getting sidetracked cause there are so many cool things in this store. Every 2 seconds, we would find something else that we "needed" and would toss that into our basket. We should've rethunk getting a cart for all the stuff we kept piling on! This is such an awesome Target location. All the employees are always helpful and I actually heard an employee asking a gentleman if he was able to find everything all right. Now THAT'S customer service. After being in retail for 4 years, this employee demonstrated how managers want all their employees to act. They're doing something right! And of course, don't forget to stop by the "snack bar" and grab a pretzel on the way out. Delish! read more

Beware of false advertising! Below is my story in dealing with Target when trying to purchase a sale item (breast pump): Item wasn't ready for pickup at service desk even though the Target systems says otherwise. Took too long for me to get my item (15 minutes or so). Staff didn't know anything about the item. App/website showed picture of a box instead of actual item. Item isn't easily searchable on website/app. I only found the item via Google shopping search. Target service agents on the phone failed to notify me of the existence of this product (basic starter kit), and instead, spent all time justifying why I cannot purchase a similar product (backpack version) for clearance price as advertised on app for $134.98 vs $229.99 ($95 difference!) upon checkout of that item. Target is the only store I've dealt with that doesn't honor its advertised prices on its own app and that there is discord/separation between retail store and online entities. It makes me not want to shop there again. read more

What a pig sty! Long lines and certainly not enough help. Could not find a working scanner to check prices ANYWHERE! Garbage all over the parking lot. The garbage can by the front entrance was over filled. This store certainly doesn't live up to other target store standards. What a shame. read more

You can reference my reviews regarding some NY area targets to see how they stack up. This is the picture perfect suburban Target greatland location. Almost every aisle of merchandise was perfectly faced and since it was midday I had the store practically to myself. This might be the place to stake out the next Go International Designer collections. read more

I love shopping at Target because of the selection and prices. The reason for the three star review is because of the poor checkout process at this particular location. There are never enough registers open and the lines are always at least 3 deep. This even occurs at the self-checkout, which is rarely manned by an attendant. An attendant at self-checkout is absolutely necessary, as the lanes tend to mess up when an item is not placed in a bag properly, etc. In addition to an overall bad checkout process, doing anything at the guest services counter here is also a disaster. Again, there is never enough staff working at this particular area and the lanes are long. You may think you are saving time by doing a "Buy online, pick-up in store," but that is not the case at this location. You end up waiting on a huge line at guest services while they dispute returns with the customers in front of you. Then when you do finally get to the front of the line, the associates are rude and unfriendly. Overall, the store is clean and always has a good selection. However, the front-end checkout and guest services really put a damper on the quality of this location. There needs to be some serious revamping of the customer service level of the associates if they are not going to add labor. It would be most beneficial to add labor to both the front-end and guest services, but I don't see that happening any time soon. read more

Located right next to Double Tree hotel, but was difficult to get to, due to construction. If you're staying at Double Tree and plan on going there, you should probably go there first before the hotel. It's easier to get there that way; otherwise, you'd have to take the highway all the way around. It's also a walking distance from hotel, if you feel like it. Nice, neat store with a lot of options. items are very well displayed. You might end but buying more than you went in for. Everything we needed was in stock. Staff was polite and helpful. Store was not too crowded. Checkout didn't take too long. We were in and out in a short time. read more

When I was rung up by jay I believe was the name by guest service he was rude in his answer when I asked if it was alright to buy my three items there as he said "no but okay" then grabbed my things, fumbled them around as he scanned them, mumbled while doing so, initially didn't put them in a bag until I asked, put 2 items in the bag, then gave me the bag for me to put the last item even though I didn't ask to. He didn't hand me the receipt until I started to walk away as he didn't even make the effort, and proceeded to crumple the receipt before handing it to me. I know some days are bad but being a douche to a customer doesn't need to happen when you can just fake a smile or ask a manager to take a breather. Very despicable behavior by Jay hopefully management says something read more

This is one of the nicer Targets I have been to. It is a little out of the way for me, but is very close to Willowbrook Mall, so I tend to stop here after a mall run. Nice, clean store that is kept up well. Easy access to route 46/80/23. read more

The employees need to be trained they don't know what they are doing, they treat you like your shit sorry for the language, they don't explain themselves! I went to to Target in Fairfield. Do not go to cashier named Maria. She made fun of me because I wasn't fast enough putting my card in the machine. She is very unprofessional and disrespectful. When I spoke to manager, she didn't do anything about it. No wonder this place has low marks! read more

I LOVE TARGET!!! I always go in to Target meaning to just pick up the essentials- toilet paper, cleaning supplies, etc- but somehow I can NEVER leave without at least spending $100, mostly on stuff I didn't intend on buying when I walked in but now just cannot live without! This one also has a sizable grocery section so you can pick up fruits, veggies and milk while you're here. The only thing I warn you about is checking out at this and other Targets. They are not very good at keeping shelf stickers updated with sale and non-sale prices so keep an eye on what you thought something was priced at vs. how much it rings up at checkout time. read more

Target - Department Stores Near Me - Fairfield, New Jersey

Not a bad Target. They expanded it a few years back and ever since they have a large selection of everything you could need. I rarely come here and find bare shelves, which used to happen at this very same location. The annoying thing about this location is that there is alwaysssssss just 2 or 3 lanes open regardless of the time of day. At 5pm when everyone is coming after work there should be tons of lines open ready to accommodate, but this is never the case. I use the cartwheel app a lot and I'm happy to say the people at check out aren't confused as to how to handle this. Most stores have apps that they don't even train their cashiers to use. So it's nice knowing that it won't be an issue. The parking lot is kind of annoying, and weirdly laid out. I've done photo ordering a few times and they are quick with the online orders. read more

Slowest, laziest employees ever. Long lines, cashier starts a red card, tells me to go to another line. Problem is that I'm stuck in line-and ten people hop in line in front of me. Update: it's been a little over 6 months, I filed a complaint with Target Customer via email and never got a response. Maybe I checked the box that said "no, don't contact me". Maybe not. Based on the other reviews, however, I'm guessing not much has been done in terms of customer service at this location. It's kinda sad, because the Targets in my town have great customer service. read more

They need more cashiers. All the employees doing whatever else they do. Checking out is number one. 12 workers just lazily walking around. Customer service sucks. read more

Worst Target ever! They enable their employees to charge giftcards fraudulently to your purchase so check your receipt carefully before you leave. I waited an hour to try and get it rectified with the Manager and then on the phone with customer service and it is still not resolved. Always the most insane lines here. They have a great home section, but I've legitimately left without buying things because the line is so insane. They clearly don't staff well enough. I've come at different times, different days, spaced out. Same thing. We are talking Black Friday type lines. 20 minutes to buy ice cream. I mean soup. read more

Great store, well organized with a wide selection. Staff not so much.. Really upset with the way my friend was treated at this location yesterday once it came time to check out. She was asked about 5 times if she wanted to sign up for a target credit card and each time declined, knowing she wouldn't be accepted due to her credit. She told the woman who kept persisting saying "this is good for me this is good for me trust me you will get it." The line was getting longer and longer behind us and all this woman kept doing was screaming for her manager even though my friend had said no about 10 times now. Then the manager came over and also kept insisting she gets one. Finally my friend gave in which I don't think she should of, but was then embarrassed immensely when she was declined. The woman behind the register was more upset that she didn't get commission or points or whatever it is she was getting from signing someone up than that she had completely embarrassed my friend. The manager saw how upset my friend was and gave her $10 off her purchase. The staff and manager here need to take no for an answer the first time. read more

Great target to go to as its located right next to the willowbrook mall. Avoid going here on weekends as its a zoo, otherwise if you come during weekdays its a very pleasant shopping experience. If you are looking for the "convenience" of a Target, you won't find it here. They might have the item you need, but unless you're willing to wait in line a minimum of 15 minutes, you're out of luck. They literally have about 20 check out lines and at any time of day have a maximum of 2 open. They either don't care about making people stay in their store for 40 minutes or they are severely understaffed; in which case a feel sorry for the generally decent employees. What really bothers me about this plastic back wasteland is the amount of littering that takes place. Everyday I drive by it, it's worse. It literally looks like the beginnings of a land fill. Plastic bags float in the breeze hovering over massive piles of garbage while people just leave their shopping carts wherever they please. Don't support this place please. read more

No one on the floor to help you. Only 3 registers open and 99 people in line. About 20 employees all in a group standing around behind the registers doing nothing but chit-chatting. I will never come to this location again. read more

I loath their Draconian return policy. They treated me like a shoplifter, not a customer. I had received a gift purchased at Target that I had no use for. It didn't come with a receipt and it would have been rude to ask for one. Having to show identification wasn't that bad, but there was no need for the interrogation. The wait was long and the employees were very unpleasant. They gave me store credit that had to be used that day only in the department the returned gift had came from. read more

Target Fairfield, NJ has still much to learn about customer service! Went in to purchase several items and when checking out I reminded the woman that there are several items that qualified for gift card based on the amount purchased! She replied no that none of these did. And then tried again one group did but she even admitted she didn't know how to do procedure! Seriously how do You put someone on register if they don't know...regardless I went to CS and advised them thAt the system didn't recognize the sale and she replied - it ain't on sale! It's not an air freshener - mind you I was purchasing Febreeze items -but 5 items get $5 back. She advised me that the Febreeze set - refill isn't an air freshener! Are you kidding me! I advised her that there's signage all over and she even sent someone to verify (I guess she may have not believed me!) guess what I was correct YET I was not honored with the $5 back! I seriously think this store needs to re-train the staff customer service etiquette! This was so unnecessary! So with that said I went to my local Bridgewater Target and It was on sale! read more

I had a decent experience at this store. The selection was great and the deal were amazing. I found everything I needed and it was well organized. My problem was mainly with a few employees. I came to the store at 1030 this evening because I go to school during the day and I work at night so this is the only time I am able to get my shopping done. However, the employees at the store were restocking and this is were my problem began, not the fact that they were restocking but just how they were going about it. They were throwing boxes into the isle that I was in making a lot of noise and almost hitting me. The guy who almost hit me didn't even say sorry even though we made eye direct contact. Also they were 4 girls riding around on the handicap scoters causing a lot of noise and being very obnoxious. When I went up to an employee to ask why no one was stopping them, she replied with a "everyone here is just too tired to deal with it." Even though it wasn't a big deal, I would like to come to this location after a long day to do my shopping in peace and I could not achieve that at this location. read more

Pretty good Target compared with most although the parking lot is always jam packed....how are there this many people in the store?? I do love their return policy as well easy and simple. I had a bit of an issue with price matching the other day, they did it for me but sort of argued the point when an item was cheaper on Target.com so I really don't see why there was an issue but whatever. I try to stay away from Target because it's a vortex that sucks your credit card out of your hand and into their cash register. Having said that, I have gotten some really great deals here ($4 shirts on clearance!) and prices are generally very reasonable. The addition of the supermarket has definitely made me a more frequent shopper, and I do appreciate the convenience. I will never come here just to go grocery shopping, but if I need to pick up school supplies or a birthday present, I like the fact that I can pick up a gallon of milk or pet food here, as well. The parking lot can be a bit insane, but I generally park a little farther away and take a walk rather than stalking the parking spots near the store entrance. Lines can be long. Easiest place to return merchandise ever. read more
