I was scrubbing mud off of my white chair while they were bringing in the other items. They saw me and said nothing. As they were carrying the base of the bed upstairs, they smashed a chunk of the edge of an archway going upstairs. They were bringing it back to the truck and decided to try again. I later found out how they did it. I noticed part of the cloth was hanging down from the base and one of the boards that frame the entire thing, was split into two. There was also mud on my mattress that I had to clean. They were sloppy and reckless and had no regard for the situation. I also had to clean mud off of my walls and other things in my house. I didn't realize the extent of the damage right away so nothing could be done. Customer service is minimal at best. If you are looking for good service in any way, this is not the place to go.

The salesman asked if I had pets, and I said I did. He said "you definitely want the platinum protection warranty as it covers any and all pet damage". So I ended up paying about $300 for the warranty. Low and behold, my dog put a small hole in the fabric when he jumped on the sofa. I submitted a warranty claim, and was informed that the warranty would not cover this. When I called, to explain that I was told that the warranty covered "any and all pet damage", I was told that the salesman shouldn't have said that and there's nothing that could be done. Will not issue a refund, even though the warranty was sold under a blatant lie. I will never again shop at Ashley Furniture. Crooked business, crooked employees, downright liars and thieves.

We ordered online from College Bed Lofts, and I was able to set the bunk platforms at unusually low heights, giving both the top and bottom sleepers much more headroom. Note: It is VERY hard to find this customization ability anywhere else. We had the bunks delivered to a cabin, which required some timing sync with the shipment. Don at CBL was super helpful in making this happen, including working with us when FedEx messed up the delivery date. He was extremely responsive. None of this matters if the bunks aren't well-built. They are. I was pleasantly surprised at how solid these are. An adult can easily climb up there without any creaking or swaying. These things are built to last and built to carry weight. They are also surprisingly easy to put together, much easier than the previous beds we had. Overall, this was a top notch experience. Major ability to customize, flexible and responsive customer service, and very high quality beds -- at a reasonable price. I had shopped around for every other pre-designed option and there is no comparison; these are excellent. Can't praise CBL enough!

Decided to go with "rush" processing, which was estimated at one week but got a notification it had shipped less than 5 days later (totally worth the rush charge). Shipping took just about the estimated time and could track all the way to the door! Setup is a little more complicated than IKEA furniture, but this is also not IKEA - meaning, it's built to last, not built out of pressed sawdust and cheap veneer. This bed feels bombproof and solid, everything is sturdy and heavy and well designed. If you're not sure of your ability to assemble, I would get outside help. A basic bunk bed with no extras probably wouldn't be terribly tough, but every option you add takes a little bit of guesstimation and decisiveness on "just doing what fits". I didn't want the ladder where the indicated spot was, same with the bottom shelves and the corner/rung braces - so I improvised - which is great because you can do that with this bed, but if you're expecting a step by step walkthrough of place piece A into piece B and screw together with Allen wrench - it's a little more involved than that. Overall great experience and worth the cost, and good experience getting FAST service from CBL! Would purchase from them again!

I headed straight to the clearance racks initially which are usually a total mess. Not only are they super clean and organized at the store, but they had sizes up to 5x and they were all in the correct spots. When was the last time it took you less than 5 minutes to go through the entire clearance rack? I couldn't believe it. I tried on half a dozen items and left with an outfit for under $20 in less than 45 minutes. I don't know about anyone else got ta but that is my ideal shopping experience! Oh! I decided to completely throw off our entire itinerary and ruin our evening by blowing at least an hour and a half rummaging through musty second-hand clothing in a strange town we'd never heard of before. And I'm pretty glad I did. Upon walking in there was a pretty cluttered, haphazard housewares/general merch section with a lot of old suitcases and stuff that was luring me in pretty hard. Good selection of old sunglasses and there was an old, cheesy looking watch I wanted but it didn't work and I didn't feel like fussing with it. Book selection was okay. The clothing selection was kinda slim pickin's, but I did find a pretty old, worn out-looking red button-down shirt and they did have a bunch of marching band uniforms, which I wavered over for quite a while (in fact, that was probably what took up the bulk of my time there). In the end, I passed on the uniforms but did buy a couple of Mantovani LPs which were in okay condition and a 1990s Casio keyboard which doesn't work, and will probably sit in the trunk of my car for the next five years. Oh, and my girlfriend and I were officially broken up all the way from Elmira until about twenty minutes outside of Buffalo because she was pretty pissed. P.S. Totally started to regret not buying one of the marching band uniforms about ten minutes after we left. Live and learn.
