This is the worst Target location I've ever been to. They have the most incompetent workers. Actually, it may not even be the workers...it's whoever is in charge of reordering products. Items will run out of stock and they don't re-order for months at a time, lit-er-ally. These are not items that are going off the shelves, these are popular items, that for some reason they just don't reorder. I have yet to figure out why. The employees have no idea wtf is going on either. Every time you ask them about an item, they look at their little handheld device and tell you a different story. They need to get it together there. Many people in this neighborhood don't have the luxury of being able to drive all the way out to another location (where they know how to restock items) to get the products they need. read more

I always like Target better than Walmart. I will pass the Walmart that is closer to me to go to Target . I always found that they have a better selection . I like that there is self pay for items 15 and under . The place can by busy and long lines depending on the day and time you go . read more

Worst target ever! I go to target every other day and honestly coming here made me not want to go to target in a long time. Very dirty, floors are excruciating to walk in and the worst of them all is the staff. Very rude. I hate being disrespected and thats all they do. Cashiers need to go through a manners class or something before they get hired. read more

The lady that works the self checkout with the curly hair and face mask is useless and needs to be fired. Other than that, great store.

Came here around April 2020 (COV19) and bought my daughter a bunch of stuff. Princess heels with wand, frozen sunglasses, polka dot, frozen sandals jelly, etc love this place the workers were absolutely Thank you Target Truly recommendation read more

I came to this store to get a couple items. I asked if by chance they would have the LOL in the back. Will I asked a lady named Carla and she said I don't know hold on she was busy doing something else. Than she finally started helping me and the security guard came and said said I'm mad at you you need to apply for that position etc. she said I'll see if I can find it in back. She didn't even pass the doors thought I wasn't watching and was still with the guard and kept talking knowing I was there waiting with my 3 year old and didn't bother to make any attempt to say anything to me. So I walked away. If this is what target promotes for customer service I have no words. I'll travel to a further target or just stop coming here all together targets going down hill! read more

I was just here and honestly they suck! I'm looking for a bathing suit and I love target but who closes there fitting room 2hrs prior closing! Not even Ross or dds does that. It's disappointing cause i work retail honestly not the first time this target has given me bad customer service read more

This target is allright. Pretty organized store. Well stocked and just recently opened a self checkout line like walmart. The only thing is that the cashiers are hella slow at times. Whenever theres fresh popcorn made theres like 649595 people in line buying it for practically everyone including tia Guadalupe and concha and maria and her 18 kids. I NEVER buy popcorn here cuz its either stale and cold or fresh and out. usually feel a bit claustrophobic in this store. But this is a busy ass store!!! Be aware of inconsiderate driving, hardly no parking any where near the store && people crossing left and right out of no where!! Fuckn with my blind spots!! I only come here when i NEED to cuz i don't like the fact i get looked at weird by the little piasa ladies and judged when im with my husband and kids. Yes b i am a whitegirl with a Mexican husband. This never happends at walmart tho!! Hahaha hahaha read more

I went shopping for some jeans and almost all of the target tags were mislabelled from the actual size. Step up your game Target! I went to try on the clothes and there was a guy, not even kneeling over, who had his hairy butt crack unabashedly exposed to the world. Pick up your pants guy who works at Target! Everything else was typical target standard operating procedure. Bright colored, mid level retail clothes, with popcorn smell. read more

Stephanie at customer service was completely rude , had no interest in helping me. Was told more than twice that I had a question for her but continued to do her work. I never write reviews but this was so rude especially for Target read more

They have good customer service and workers here, my sister lost her little pouch bag with money and cards inside, we left her number and details in case they find it, and they called back to let her know they found it and returned it everything was inside and they were all nice in customer service read more

Thank you for spending a sh1tload of money redesigning the store but not adding any f'n baskets. Still have the holders where they should be tho, still put items in spots with lower prices then charge you the higher one, and still ask you if you want a bag for the 23 items they just scanned when it's clear you don't have any on you. Yes Randy, I'd love to stack this sh1t up like some cirque du soleil side show and skip home with it. And please stop trying to cram everything into one bag, we shop at target, the extra dime isn't gonna break the bank. Still better than that lawless POS Walmart next door tho. read more

This is a generally clean and good location. There must be some big couponers in the area, because deals we go looking for are wiped out. I found today one of the cashiers making her own rules, I believe. We we getting some disposable razors, on sale for $2.99, we tried using $3 coupon and she wasn't having it. Saying both that you can you that plus the particular BIC product wasn't pictured. But the coupon said ANY excluding trial size. I should have made a stink and even told her to let the machine double check it. You got me this time!! Next time, different cashier!! #Target #Coupons read more

Quite simply, the store was stocked and clean. The service out checkout was speedy and friendly as well. I did notice quite a few areas were missing price tags. There weren't a lot of price check scanners either, so we gathered what we thought we wanted and price checked at the front. Granted we went on a Monday, I would say the place looked pretty good following up a weekend! read more

I've always liked target better than WalMart, but this location Isn't the best. There's always people just loitering at the entrance, neither leaving nor going to shop, so I don't understand their purpose for standing in my way. The staff here is O K, but not great quality either. This location added a small fruit and veggie isle, but it doesn't justify the service. The electronics staff lacks respect for it's customers and the rest of the staff sort of just loiters around doing nothing to help the customers. I go here when it's an absolute necessity, but I most occasionally just stay away. read more

TARGET!!! Sooooo much red! Red everywhere !!!!! This is an ok target not the best. This is the kinda place where no one bats an eye at the conversation I had with my wife: "Baby, this container is so big I wouldn't even have to remove the limbs from a human body! " Wife rolls eyes "Let's go find a hacksaw just in case!" Anyways, you can do whatever here, and no one cares. It's target, you know what it's like... read more

This is my 2nd fav target location (Eastlake's is First). It does get full but there are always plenty of registers open , which is great!!! They dont really have a good selection of clothes for plus girls. Guess, my ass needs to get smaller, lol! :/ read more

I love Targets! If I'm not hungry or tired, I could spend hours in a Target. Lol. This is my local Target and I love it. Its actually pretty freaking big and you can get every little thing you need here for yourself or your home, PLUS your groceries. But yeah it can get really crowded :/ and the fact that they never have more than like, 5 cash registers open doesn't help. There's a self checkout area but sometimes that line is longer than the cash register lines. Lol. One thing that kinda bugs me is that everyone knows you can find Shea Moisture products at Target but this Target only has a small handful of SM products and on the Cartwheel app they have a coupon for a specific line of SM and they didn't even have it in store. Sigh. Come on, Target. Get on it... Please. read more

What's not to love about Target? I prefer this one because the parking lot isn't as scary as some of their other locations. Everything is laid out well and very well stocked. The employees are helpful and there are always available cashiers with minimal wait times. The only drawback is that this Target doesn't have a Starbucks. read more

Target is one of my favorite stores because it is pretty much a one stop shop. My husband does not like this store because I like ti so much, it has a store credit card and not matter how many times he cuts up my card I can just go in and get another one :). I do wish this store had a selection of computers. Now I like people but I do not like people all in my face breathing up all the air. this store can get crowded, so find the perfect shopping time for you. For me I like to go in the middle of the week when everyone is poor. The first of the month is never a good time to go shopping and if you do then your dumb (just saying). if you wait until everyone has paid the bills and their bank accounts are low that is when you go in and wipe up. Everything is always in stock to my knowledge, no empty shelves that seen which is attractive to a shopper. The store is clean and I notice they really stay on top of that. The bathroom on the other had needs help, really all department store bathrooms need help. people are just gross. read more

I can spend hours in a Target store. This is the closest store to me, so I find myself there quite often - sometimes at least once a week for groceries, essentials, or random stuff. They are usually well stocked and clean. I have never experienced any issues while shopping here. Their clearance end caps are fun to browse through - you never know what you'll find. Sometimes things may be a few pennies more here than at WalMart, but I feel that it worth it, considering how overcrowded, understocked and unkempt most WalMart locations are in south San Diego. There's also the Cartwheel app that Target has, so you can get discounts on select items you're shopping for. read more

Pretty stocked Target, but very annoyingly long lines. Much better than the one on 4th. I don't know why Target thinks it's ok to have two registers open when around 40 people are waiting to check out. Pretty bad system. Parking here can also be annoying at times. The only time I haven't seen this place busy is on a Monday morning. read more

I love Target!!! I can't believe I haven't been in this store in forever. This visit reminded me of why. As always, I went in to get one thing came out with other things & NOT what I originally went in there for. That happens to everybody right?! There were deals everywhere I just couldn't resist. :) Love how organized this store is - each Target I have visited has brought vibrant fun colors to life. Clean aisle make the store experience even better. Great customer service too. How couldn't you love this place?!!!!! read more

The employees need to learn how to be polite and more professional to customers. Several of them at the infant department seemed to be bothered and almost irritated that I had some questions. I would not recommend this store to anyone. Management needs to train them to serve customers. We are the ones that ultimately pay their salaries and wages. read more

Best Target I've been to in San Diego. Definitely a good selection of everything you can need. The baby section is always stocked up with the newest items and a big choice of clearance items. The staff are pretty friendly and know where everything is which is a plus. Never had any issues with waiting but its probably the time I go. Usually 5 lanes open, sometimes less if its around 11 am when no one is really shopping there I suppose. Everything you could ask for in a Target, I cant think of a single thing to complain about when it comes to this one. Like others have said the one of 4th is another story lol read more

Target - No calendars - Department Stores Near Me - Chula Vista, California

This is the worst Target I've been to in San Diego. We moved down the street a few months ago and I've probably been 10 times. Staff members are hard to locate and often don't know where to find basic things. They're regularly out of many items and there are NEVER enough cashiers. On top of that, twice in a row I was the second person in line and had to move to another register because neither the cashier nor the manager could figure out the issue; both times it was related to coupons/promotions. Both times I waited around 5 minutes (yes, really!) before asking if I should move; both times I was told I should move because it would still be a while. Neither time did they acknowledge me before I asked or apologize for the delay. I gave two stars rather than one because when I went today, my cashier (Amanda, I think?) was very helpful and friendly and I've experienced one or two other very pleasant employees. Based on my experience working retail, they seem to have a management issue that's somewhat mediated by the dumb luck of stumbling into hiring a few good staff. read more

I enjoy target so much more than wal mart just for selection and not nearly as crowded as Walmart is. I like their return policy and make it easy to return an item if needed. My only knock on them is the restroom is often not very clean I wish they spent more time keeping it up. My only other complaint is I wish they had a big and tall section but other than that nice store. read more

They usually have everything I'm looking for. But the upkeep of the store is terrible. The bathrooms are disgusting and not regularly cleaned. You would think that since this is a busy location they would try to increase the amount of times someone comes in and tidys up.. its the worst. read more

This Target was the worst. We went there Friday night around 7pm. I only needed to buy one $6 item. There was no self check out and electronics dept would not help to ring up if you did not buy anything "electronic". There were about 25 - 30 people in line waiting to be rung up in the front. The line wrapped around the store. This was crazy. It wasn't even Black Friday or anything. Just a normal day. Since the girl at electronics refused to ring up my one teeny item I had, I left the item and went to a better Target along the way home. Not good customer service at electronics to assess the situation going on in the store, no flexibility to assist, and you need more registers open. That line was ridiculous. read more

I went shopping late at night around 10 PM Tues. And left my wallet in a shopping cart only to find out a target employee took it and tried withdrawing 303.00 dollars from my account but had the wrong pin. Then tried getting cashback at target which they were unsuccessful again. Shady ass paisa workers there. Never coming here again read more

YELP you should make a half a star (since I know you can't do a zero because then what's the point of this site) but yes I would give half star to this Target. Target your getting to be known for hiring incompetent employees, how does that make you feel? Here's what I encountered from just running in to grab a few things (and for those who want to reply or think "if you dislike this place why shop here" well when relatives give you a $100 gift card to Target, you will used it too. 1. The bathrooms were dirtier then your normal beach public restroom 2. Almost lost a flip flop due to some sticky stuff near the hat/purse section 3. Nothing was stocked. And then what items they had left were towards the back (most department managers have there employees do a check to see what needs to be filled & push items forwards to be sold so they can restock, this is suppose to be done daily) 4. Eight people in line and one checkout open, yet four cashiers were standing around talking nonsense. When it got down to the last two all 4 of them decided to open their registers. 5. Again with the smoking like the other Target north of broadway. I walked out to be blasted with smoke by 3 employees. If you want to smoke that's your choice I get it, but at least designate a area in THE BACK of the store NOT the front where you have families & those who care about there lungs. This was just todays incidents, that happen all in a 25min spam. Others times have been equal or much much worse. read more

I've had nothing but good experiences with this Target. I do mostly online orders for pick up and they have been great at that. I went to Eastlake Target once and the service was horrible. So I just keep going back to this Broadway branch. read more

Let's see target it's been here for a hella long time. I don't know how long it's been since they upgraded the store. But this store is a step up from Walmart that's for sure. I love coming here the dollar bins in front of the store, huge produce area, sales are always good, shelves always stocked up and faced properly. I probably come here twice a week. Oh and the Target staff are always polite and helpful. I know the store the the back of my hand. So I really don't interact with the staff only on check out time. I mean what can I say the store is clean, red and a good place to shop. Thanks and take care. read more
