Today was a rough day.. As I am in Target looking for help NOBODY in sight. I finally walk way over to cosmetics and Christy was there helping a customerr.. She wrapped up with the customer and asked how she could help!!! She was kind, helpful, AVAILABLE which I always see her helping people. She goes that extra with you. I received a tv today and as I opened it. I saw a cracked screen. Now I'm trying to get my device exchanged because I got a broken tv and the customer service station was just terrible. Target - Department Stores Near Me - Cathedral City, California

I was in the store the other day, and I've never felt more uncomfortable in my life. One of the employees kept asking me if I needed help. At first I didn't think anything of it and politely declined assistance. A few minutes later he kept persisting on helping me, even though I had already declined. I walked away and noticed he was always around the areas that I was in. I noticed he kept staring at me, but specifically looking at my body, not just my face. He then bends down conveniently next to where I was standing, pretending to pick something up from the ground. I caught him staring at my butt. The name on his name tag said "Cristian". I wanted to go say something to a manager, but at that point I just wanted to leave. read more

This store is a mess. All departments are disorganized. I have shopped many Targets across the country and have never seen a Target so in need of organization and cleaning. The store in Palm Dessert is very clean and always a pleasure to shop in. The store is also very warm. No air conditioning????? All registers were down today. Did some errands in Cat City yesterday and this is the ONLY store still spraying and wiping carts! Felt clean and safe. Employees were helpful. No long lines - there were plenty of check stands open. Also I forgot to use my coupon and went back through line and they made it right easily and friendly. Very very happy with this Target Store. Good Job. read more

The employees at this store are generally friendly and helpful, but they will freely tell you the store is severely understaffed and they can't keep up with their work. No Target, or any store for that matter, should be kept in such a sad state of constant disarray. Please have a look at these photos of the store taken on a Saturday morning. One has to assume no recovery efforts were made to clean or straighten up the store after it closed on Friday or before it opened on Saturday. I did not expect much, but if I received a letter like this from one of my Hotel Guests, I would take a moment and at the very least say "Thank you for taking the time to write this" - But instead I was met with a deafening silence. Making me realize the issue with Target starts at the very top of the line. This is my local Target, so I will probably go back, but it will definitely not be my first choice. I have shopped, loyally at Target for many, many years. Something is amiss at our local Palm Springs store. The store I am specifically referring to is the 67750 E Palm Canyon Dr, Cathedral City, CA location. We have been living in the Palm Springs area for 2 years, and I have watched the steady decline of this store. When I say decline, I do not mean general wear and tear, that is understandable. What I am referring to is the unbelievable and endless mess that the store is alway in. I was in there last week. The entire store is in merchandising chaos, with random items everywhere, the departments are messy, unorganized, and neglected. To be honest, it feels like a store that none of the sales associates care, or take any pride in their jobs, or in the store appearance. I literally watched a sales associate walk past an article of tagged clothing, discarded on the floor in the aisle. Walked right by, like it did not even exist. It makes me sad to shop there. The entire store is crying out for attention, and for a staff that genuinely cares about the guest experience. Don't misunderstand, I have never had unpleasant sales associate experience. We went to Target a couple days ago for a pickup order and were standing just inside waiting for our items and within about 5 minutes we watched 2 people, not together, come in without masks. The greeter did NOT insist they take one of the free masks. We will stop going to Target based on their policy of not requiring a mask. read more

They have low carb tortillas, baby corn in a can that's keto approved and also the 3 bean blend that's "keto" approved but not approved in my book. The "manager" "Kevin" refused to give a cash refund even with receipt in hand because I paid with applecash... seems weird because I've never had a problem at Palm Desert location. Came here to return a pool toy (we had two of the same) at 8am on Monday morning. Whole place smells intense like weed when the doors open. I don't judge. I wish all Target stores were like this one, at least on the day we stopped by. Let me set the scene for you... It was a Saturday morning in Palm Springs. We were in town for a wedding and while the stack of cash headed the bride and groom's way was safe and securely folded in my trusty leather wallet, the vehicle to get it into their hands without looking like a smooth talking salesman trying to land a last minute table at The French Laundry was nowhere to be found. We needed a card and we needed one ASAP. This Target was nice and quiet. No crying babies, no lines, easy parking, neatly organized, employees everywhere and stacked to the rafters with a beautiful selection of cards. I took my time, sorted through what seemed liked dozen of cards with hundreds of well wishes until we found the perfect one. During this time there was zero hustle-bustle and my typical Target anxiety was nowhere to be found - it was an uncommon blissful experience for me. While my wife loves Target, I don't. Nine times out of ten I'll opt for the slower Amazon Prime experience rather than dealing with the chaos associated by shopping at a brick and mortar stores, but things could be much different for me if all Target stores were created equally - I'll nominate this one as the mold. read more

When you order groceries to be delivered the shipping is supposed to be free. The last two time they charged us 9.99 for 'shipping' that we did not order. We just spent over an hour on hold to ask about this charge and never got to talk to anybody. Then guess what it was after hours and nobody answered after we were transferred around. I am a cancer patient and cannot go out, this business is ripping people off who cannot go out and shop. This is heinous and gouging in an epidemic! Taking advantage must be their middle name. I went to buy eggs because they where on sale. I asked a staff memberi if the eggs where on sale. He asked me where I saw the ad. I told him Target online. He scand the eggs and said no there $3.29. I bring it up on my phone to show him the sale. He turned and bark at me if you want them for $1.99 they're yours. As nasty as he could. And I told him he was rude and that I would talk to his boss. I had a great experience on 11/24 at 816 pm at the return counter when a gentleman named (I think his name was Andy) rang me up. He helped take a child's red Corvette car off the wall and roll it on a dolly to the counter. He then proceeded to ring it up for me, take it out of the massive box and help me put it in the back of my car. He was so helpful and I really appreciate how professional he was. Also, the gentleman outside who cleans up the carts does such a great job. I had just left Walmart and there were shopping carts in parking spots and just litered everywhere throughout the lot. I told him what a great job he is doing and that the parking lot was in perfect shape with no carts to be seen. Great job Target! read more

Target - Quiet evening - Department Stores Near Me - Cathedral City, California

I bought an $80 hairdryer here 4/25/20. The motor on it blew out 8/24/20. I returned it today with my receipt and the defective device. I was told by the manager they could not help me because it was not returned by 7/24/29. I've spent thousands in this store. No store credit, no exchange - nothing. I'll never shop at any Target again. I don't shop at Walmart but there are plenty of other stores that carry what Target does Zero capability to provide decent customer service. read more

This review is based on the Customer Service alone on 5/26/17. I went to Customer Service counter to check-out (I had about 5 small items) because I wanted to check on something. I stood there at the counter waiting for someone for about 5 minutes. I was the only person in line. I looked over to my right at the photo lab and noticed a Customer Service Rep there helping someone. Other workers continue to walk-in and out of the employee lounge. Not one person ask me, did I need help with something? Finally the Customer Service Rep at the photo lab tells me, "I'll be with you in a minute." Really, I've been standing here for about 5 minutes and you saw me before you decided to open your mouth. Once she finishes with that customer she walks over to the counter with an attitude. I ask about item and she gives me a answer. Then she proceeds to rush me out by saying "Is this it?" because she noticed people getting in line behind me. That's kinda rude especially after I had to wait.. so can they! I had a cart which I'm sure she saw, I said no. I would like to purchase the item and the rest of this. She ask me did I want a bag? I end up purchasing one and I saw her add it on. Then I realized she wasn't packing my items. Then I asked, did I not purchase a bag. She lied and said I didn't know you wanted one. She proceeds to pack my stuff, I said well you ask me did I want one and I saw you charge me for it. I pay with my "Target card" (which means I'm a customer) and leave. I get home and I realized two items was missing. I checked my receipt I was charged for them. I then call Target to find out if they were there. Sure enough they were. The Customer Service Representative on the phone tells me the items will be on hold. Apparently in the midst of the first Customer Service Representative who checked me out trying to argue with me, she didn't finish packing my bag. If she didn't want to work then shouldn't have came! read more

I do not recommend online shopping. I had a delivery and later requested a return pickup. Since the delivery was made to our vacation home and we are now at our permanent residence, they refused to pick up at our current location. For health reasons I couldn't manage 75 lbs to the store or UPS. WALMART much better to deal with. I cancelled my as yet unactivated new Red card. read more

If there was any way I could give negative stars, I would. I have never been treated as rudely as I was tonight by an employee named McKenna. The other day I bought 7 gift cards. During the transaction, the salesperson had a hard time ringing them up and asked for help. Another cashier came over and said that only 4 could be done per transaction. When trying to complete the second transaction, the cashier had another problem ringing one card up and asked if I could get another one which I did. Today, while checking receipts, I realize there are 8 rung up; 5 on one receipt despite being told they could not ring more than 4 per transaction. I go to the store at 10am and the cashier that helped the other one verified that I was buying 7 cards. Customer service tells me there is not one person In the store that can help me. I agree to come back later. When I come back to the store, the people that were helping me earlier are all gone now. Some customer service rep hears my problem and leaves. A short time later she returns and tells me that I got 8 cards which is a complete lie. I ask to speak with the manager; once again I am told they are not there. That is when McKenna comes out and tells me I received 8 cards. I told her she is mistaken and ask to see the footage but was refused. I asked her if she was calling me a liar and she said that I got 8 cards. She tells me that if I don't like it, I can call the police. Great customer service through hostility. I ask if she is really calling me a liar and she again says I got all the cards. At this point she claims she has done her due diligence despite having done nothing but insult me and wishes me a good evening. I do have some power. I will be contacting everyone up the chain on their organizational chart. I will be canceling my Target Red card. I will never spend another dime in this store. Very rude people. Don't waste your money here; they don't care about treating their customers with respect. read more

IT DOESN'T PAY TO BUY ON LINE!!!! The Cathedral City California store is a Horrible store. Ordered online to pick up at store, I was charged a higher price than the price in the store. When I went to customer service the Rude brown haired evening Female Manager would not not refund my money. She said that I would have to wait 24 hours. WTH? She was so very rude. Being told to come back the next day, having to drive all way back, spending more money on gas is really ridiculous. We also left a basket with a couple hundred dollars worth of items behind because she was so rude. because of what sh called the alleged policy.How did she become manager? If you are the type of cliens for Target good. I would never recommend this particular store to anyone who does not want to get and be insulted by Target employee. My visit today was awful being insulted by Rachel and her being protected by her manager Mike who does not even have the proper training to handle such situation knowingly that his employee was wrong the way she addressed me in a bad manner. She was rude, not even have the decency to apologize for the way the talked to me, this is the unheard store. Oh yeah if you want the employee to give you the "I don't car attitude" you will be well served at this store. Target need to train their employee much better than that. It had been a while since I visited this store and I was extremely pleased with the customer service! An associate answered my question when I couldn't find a product and the cashiers left a great impression. All the smiles and jokes left me with the want to return. The restroom needed a little attention but compared to the cleanliness and appearance of the rest of the store it was not a bother. Whoever is doing the hiring here is doing a phenomenal job! This is by far the worst Target store I have ever been in. The men's department is worse than a Goodwill store after a 50% off weekend. Looks like a tornado blew through the stock room and threw everything in the air and dropped it. Totally not shop-able. The rest of the store is not much better. Abandoned stock carts in most aisles prohibit cart traffic. Price reductions are not in the system so it's always a crap shoot at checkout and very frustrating when you get home with an item that was supposed to be on sale and have to return. Something is wrong at this Target and the corporation needs to fix it. read more
