I don't know about YOU... But for ME.... Twenty Twenty-Five was the Year of Target! I kid you not, I visited my local Target store more times in 2025 than I ever had before.... And I LIKED it!! I know, I know, you ladies reading this RIGHT NOW are nodding your heads with absolute approval thinking to yourselves, "Yes Lance, go on, speak Target to me!" Sorry fellas, but I've gotta side with the girls on this one... But Target has just got it going on. Hey, I get it. It's clean, it's organized, & they've got most of your household basics. So I know what you're thinking... What made me so Target Happy in 2025?? Well my new obsession Vinyl Records, of course!! Yes, earlier last year, I surprised my wife and purchased her 2 Vinyl Records from her favorite band. Later that night, we went out and purchased a Record Player so we could play her new records. Once we got home that evening, within seconds of first hearing the sound, the quality, and the difference of listening to music play on a Vinyl versus digitally and.... I. Was. Hooked. From there, I discovered that Target stores have a small, but decent record selection; mainly new age stuff, but some re-recorded classics that everyone should have in their collection. And so my Target Ventures began. Yeah, I would find myself popping into my local Target and Bee-Lining it straight towards their records just see what they had. It came to the point where sometimes I would go daily, just to see if any new records had arrived. It became more of a hunt, that actual shopping, and I was always so happy when I saw a record that I wanted to add to my growing collection. And trust, when I saw an album that I wanted... I bought it! So why Target?? For one, they have a lot of the new-age records for current artists for that I'm currently into. Plus, there are a lot of Target Edition Vinyls that are made specifically for Target (limited edition colored vinyls, etc.) Heck, even when we are out of town... you know Target will on our to-do list. Well in October 2025, we were in Palm Springs to celebrate my birthday and we were on a mission to go straight to the local Target on October 3rd to grab a copy of Taylor Swifts newest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Hey, I'm a Girl Dad of 3 girls... plus a wife... I'm not embarrassed to say it, but I'm in a household full of Swifties, me included ;) Thankfully, that day, the release day... I didn't have to fight any teenage girls off to get my hands on Taylor's newest album because Target Palm Springs was prepared and had a huge display of albums, c.d's to choose from. Of course, like any Target run that anyone does... Once we grabbed the 1 item that we actually came in for, we headed straight to the check out line (Ha! This NEVER happens)... Yeah, we grabbed a cart, and we went shopping! My wife found some all white cowgirl boots, picked up a few fantasy books to read, and of course some things for the kids... Hey, this is how you Target! So... now you know how I spent the latter half of my 2025 and I have the record selection to prove it. They always have a great selection of sunblocks and other items, and the prices are very competitive. The employees were friendly and helpful, and I was in and out in a breeze usingself checkout. I was very disappointed with the Target in Cathedral city. There was a price discrepancy when I got to the cashier. In order to get the discount I was told by the manager I would have to go get another item myself. Keep in mind the manager was just standing near the cashier. There was a line behind me. More or less, it was her attitude that irked me. I informed the cashier I no longer wanted the items. The manager with her attitude told the cashier, "toss them". Now, I know why Target is losing money. That lazy manager should have gotten the item I needed. I never going back to Target. read more

It was gratifying to find a Target store near to our out of town visit. This one has pretty good parking, is easy to find, and is one of the largest we have patronized. We especially found the grocery section to be more than bountiful, with everything we could need while away from our usual, local Target, and with multiple brand choices. Tarjay one of three in the Coachella Valley we finally meet again. This super spacious Target Store in Cathedral City has a huge parking lot in the Canyon Plaza North Shopping Center. Located on Palm Canyon Drive this is the closest and major Target location for Palm Springs, North Palm Springs and even Desert Hot Springs. As the star of show/this shopping center it sits far back beyond spots like El Pollo Loco, Trader Joe's, The UPS Store, Palm Canyon Smiles Dentistry, Starbucks and numerous others. When I came in recently they had a few team members outside of the store guiding and greeting people and when I came in the carts were plentiful, shelves faced and most items stocked with the exception of grab and go cold section just beyond the main entrance. I wanted to grab a few snacks and beverages for my extended weekend in the area and they had everything I wanted and then some, especially via pantry items and refrigerated. I browsed through a lot of departments, including men's clothing which needed a pinch of upkeep, though not much. Everything was pretty cling and ping worthy - including seasonal, home decor, health and beauty and electronics. I had an amazing clerk when I was ready the check out, made sure I got all my deals in, bagged everything perfectly and had me on my way in no time. The team members on the floors were polite, though not many of them offered any help or assistance. Self check out seems pretty easy, someone close by to help out there. This is the "forgotten" Target in my book! I totally forget that it exists! I used to work in the area and remembered it exists so I came here a couple of times. It's always more low key than the other Targets in town. Staff has always been friendly to me and the store is very clean. Parking is smaller than the other ones but also never had any issues finding parking here. read more

When you think of Target you imagine brightly lit, clean fully stocked shelves, and tons of things you didn't know you needed to buy.... Right? Well unfortunate this older Target has much to live up to. The store floor plan is an older one (which is cool, we love a classic) however for some reason this target always seems to fall short. The employees do their best to stock but the whole store just always seems like a mess. I don't know how shelves can have so much stuff and yet... nothing to buy. Target price with Walmart service. (No offense Walmart) but it is always just a little bit of a letdown. Overall still has the typical target merch (mostly) just not the target experience that we've been spoiled with. Save yourself the disappointment and just keep driving to the target in Palm Desert. You might find what you need at this location.... But then again... I usually don't. read more

First of all....8 years ago when I moved down here...this was one of the best run Targets anywhere....that manager is gone. Sad ! This store has steadily gone downhill. Always low or no product. Everything is so messy...especially clothing area. Very few employees. No one in the whole store will make eye contact or acknowledge you / ask you if you need anything. And to make it even more of a terrible shopping experience....there is absolutely no music played in this store ...NOTHING. It's makes the whole place seem dead and un inviting. It's a great location...lots of traffic. This could be a much better store. Target ....you can do better! read more

They deserve a zero!!! Customer service is absolutely horrible! Lazy people work there! No customer service at all !! This is the third time we go there needing help to purchase a big item we ask for assistance to the Halloween aisle and no one shows up! Waited 20 minutes. I asked a girl that was working near this aisle but was told she could not help cuz she was on break and could get in trouble. But she was filling up a shelf! I had to walk up to the register where I asked this one fat guy to assist he called out on the walkie-talkie and no one showed up! After waiting 20 mins I went up to pay for my items and passed by him and told him no one showed up!! He didn't care and showed no worries! No wonder the store was empty!! I suggest to hire some dedicated people like Latinos that go above and beyond their jobs or anyone else then whom works their! I'll start shopping at the target off the 111. This is a nice Target. It's clean and fairly well organized. Prices are what you'd expect and things are easy to find. Staff is usually friendly. Parking is also easy, plenty of space. So why did I give them only 3-stars? Well, I have been here twice, only to grab pool and party supplies. Each time it would take me about 15 minutes to grab what I needed and at least that much standing in line to checkout. Why? I wonder why the wait is predictable? Are they trying to push me to online? I just don't know. Only thing I do know is that I don't like going here, because my spine injury makes it painful to stand for too long, and checkout here is too long. read more

When Gayle or I'm away from home, either visiting friends/family or on vacation, Target is the place you go when you lost something or forgot to pack it. Before retirement (and on a business trip), I sometimes went into a Target to wander around just to pass the time. On our recent trip to the Palm Springs area, Gayle needed a hat, and I was short on sun screen. We got what we needed and Target gave us what we expected. read more

Looking for last minute gifts. Great got everything I needed for Christmas. Great prices.

This store is always messy and low on stock with everything. But that has never been my issue. I was in the store last month and verbally assaulted and threatened, by a customer. He was aggressive with me from the start. He spit at me and told me he'd slap me in the face. Got in my face multiple times while the employees watched. Until I raised my voice to match his level and energy, then they employees told me to calm down and let it go after I was the person threatened. Security finally came for my he back did absolutely nothing to de-escalate the situation. He even allowed a customer to come back, aggressively get in my face and threatened to slap me across the face. The customer even antagonize me to hit him because he had the bond money. Five employees surrounded the situation and told me that I was wrong but did not even remove the man from the store until I yelled something about it. This store is a complete mess the employees, lack self awareness. They lack respect and they allow violence and threats to happen. They even when as far as to call the police on me as if I did something wrong. The security guard did absolutely nothing to help the situation. He allowed a man to get into my space more than once and I feel completely unsafe in this location. So if your woman be aware that you cannot go into the store because there are violent men there that you will not be protected from even if they're harassing you threatening you and aggressively in your face. The security guards will not do anything, and I even called guest relations and I have not gone to call back or any type of information to follow up. This target is a complete joke lack customer, service, lax training, lax, cleanliness, and overall safety Further away to avoid having these employees released from their position or better trained, and being a decent human being and most of the employees were men and women, and it was disgusting to see how I was blamed when I was the victim and the man that was continuously aggressively coming at me and almost assaulting me, did not get the same treatment. read more

Came by for some late night shopping on a Tuesday night. This Target was definitely cleaner and more organized than other Targets I've been too. Maybe it's because there's less customer traffic than at my local Target back home. Never the less, they had everything I needed and I left a satisfied customer. Since as long as I can remember target has been my happy place from being a child walking up and down the isles with my mom, to now as an adult (still walking up and down the isles with my mom a lot the time lol). So many times I'm amazed at the products that they carry, I think that I'm gonna have to go to five different stores to get what I want and target has so much of it, especially now. I'm vegetarian and gluten-free, they have a lot of things that I can eat there which is cool, I also I look for cruelty free/clean beauty products and they carry those as well; their beauty section is really nice because it has such a wide range of products from good old Maybelline to now caring more "exclusive or luxury lines". I think partnering up with Ulta was a cool move too, really opened a lot of doors. Also their cartwheel app is incredible, I have saved so much money with it and they have a section where you can vote where they donate to their next charity, I love that! So yeah big fan, I freaking love target . read more

This Target in Cathedral City, CA, is the best Target my wife and I have experienced. Every employee we have come in contact with has always been very helpful and friendly. They are always willing to match any products price we have found online on the Target App, if they differ from the in-store price. Alicia and Anthony have been two people who have always helped us when we have any questions about how to use the app and about any products in store or in stock. My wife and I are expecting our second son and have our registry at Target as well. Target has a great baby registry welcome gift as well. Surprised I haven't been to this location before Here's what I liked: Customer service is *chefs kiss* perfect! I came in looking for a replacement battery for my key fob- an employee showed me where to find it, completed my transaction and even changed my battery, all with a smile! Have to say when I make my monthly Target run, this is the best one around. I love this location. Let's hop on a few reasons why this Target is best.. The cleanliness of this store is terrific. I mean, top notch. I had to use the restroom last week and you can always tell how a department store is by seeing the restroom condition. I will say: it was spotless, well stocked and large. BTW- I dont make it a goal to use restrooms but I was at the Trader Joe's next store and had a sample of lemonade which led me to buying a container- you know how that snowball forms... so, I had to go Keepin' it honest Yelpers, jus keepin' it honest Back to the store- I like how spacious the store is. The Target I frequent at my NY home is tighter and more congested. The palm springs location is so roomy that three carts can fit in most aisles. It makes it less awkward for you playing bumper cars the other shoppers. The customer service is excellent. I was looking through the entire food section and the associate came over and asked me if I needed help. He couldn't find what I was looking for either but he told me when it would be back in stock and on the shelves. woot woot honorable mention: the pet section is always stocked. I wish all Target stores were like this one, at least on the day we stopped by. Let me set the scene for you... It was a Saturday morning in Palm Springs. We were in town for a wedding and while the stack of cash headed the bride and groom's way was safe and securely folded in my trusty leather wallet, the vehicle to get it into their hands without looking like a smooth talking salesman trying to land a last minute table at The French Laundry was nowhere to be found. We needed a card and we needed one ASAP. This Target was nice and quiet. No crying babies, no lines, easy parking, neatly organized, employees everywhere and stacked to the rafters with a beautiful selection of cards. I took my time, sorted through what seemed liked dozen of cards with hundreds of well wishes until we found the perfect one. During this time there was zero hustle-bustle and my typical Target anxiety was nowhere to be found - it was an uncommon blissful experience for me. While my wife loves Target, I don't. Nine times out of ten I'll opt for the slower Amazon Prime experience rather than dealing with the chaos associated by shopping at a brick and mortar stores, but things could be much different for me if all Target stores were created equally - I'll nominate this one as the mold. read more

If you're planning on buying gift cards drive down the street and throw your money out the window. After you purchase them Target doesn't care if they are worthless or not. I bought two for my grandchildren for Christmas $100 each and they are fraudulent. You can't get anyone to help you. They give you numbers to call and either you are on hold for hours, get transferred again or just get someone who you don't know wtf they are saying you will get no help. A big fat waste of money and I'm on a fixed income because I'm a senior citizen. I wouldn't shop there again if they paid me to. I hope karma gets them and they go out of business.
