Tar-shay. Ah so NOT Walmart, so the place I like to get a cheap lunch if I am shopping. Yeah, I said it out loud. I HAVE LUNCH AT TARGET! Usually it's two people, so order up the nachos (no drink) with extra jalapenos and the pepperoni pizza combo (drink and bread sticks). Now this is way more food than two people really need to eat, but boy it sure tastes good...oh and I did I mention just over $8 including tax!!! Downside? Well, none if you sit off to the left past the Starbucks as you can sit at the counter or a table an enjoy watching everyone from Grant Park to L5P to EAV to Virginia Highlands to....(you get the idea it's the only Target in this area) all showing up to shop... Do me a favor and wave next time you are sitting there eating as I know we are cheap lunch friends! I'll make sure to write another review about the store itself another day. read more

This place is huge and surprisingly well laid out. I'm not in this part of town very often, but I might have to make a special trip every now and then just to enjoy my shopping experience. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this store, especially compared to that nasty Kroger next door. Well, it seems that my only experiences there are at night. It's possible I've just not been there to see the good side. At at any rate, this Target is very well maintained and I found it hard to leave without buying more than just the things I came to get. read more

Aside from being very convenient and having a newly expanded grocery section, this is your basic target. I've never experienced any employee rudeness, not once. On the contrary everyone I've talked to has been friendly and helpful. The only downside is how popular it is. I've long stopped shopping at Target for their clothing, shoes, homegoods, etc. (way overpriced for the quality), but the cosmetic and toiletries are cheaper than a drugstore, and a wider selection. Because this location is so popular, lots of items are frequently out of stock. Usually the most popular ones too. Kind of a bummer when you come here to get some essentials that you just ran out of. Even though Target's trying to be more competitive with Amazon, I've been using the latter for make-up and bath products because of the reliability. read more

This is the Target that is closest to me, (at home, anyway, from work, the North Druid Hill store), and while I love Target itself, this store has the worst customer service of any Target I've been into. There is a cashier who frequently works the express lane that is barely civil, and often downright rude. Even if I have to wait longer, I will usually go to another line to avoid this person. I have noticed that I can find some good sales on kitchen stuff at this store. On the other hand, they tend to run out of facial products very quickly, and don't restock as quickly as other branches. Edit, additional comment, Jan. 2, 2008 Over the holidays, I had yet another nightmare customer service experience here. I'll just summarize it by saying, *don't* try to get film developed here. Ugh. I *heart* Target. I was especially thrilled to discover that this one is a mere 7 minute drive from my new apartment. I've practically lived there during my move and was glad there was one closer that didn't involve the hell tunnel that is North Druid Hills and Clairmont. When I was wandering the aisles Sunday morning picking up the last (I hope) of what I need to furnish my new pad, I felt completely at home. I'm a chick with tattoos. Shit like that stands out in the 'burbs. Not so here. I passed plenty of tattooed, pierced, and otherwise modified people also shopping for shampoo and dog food. Ah, good to be among my people. I also love that it's located with a bunch of other useful things like Petco, Kroger, Lowe's. And less than useful but still great like Ru San's and Figo. read more

Well, it's Target, so not much outside what you would expect. Cleaner, friendlier, faster than any Wal-Mart will ever be. Parking sucks sometimes, but I usually park outside the pet store. There are usually a couple of spots over there. You get a mixed bag of people here (truly), so it's cool for people watching. I like that they have a Starbucks in here. This keeps you from walking 40 yards to the other Starbucks in Barnes and Noble. Whateva. read more

I love Target! I go for the deals, the browsing and the people watching. I have been in a good amount of Targets and this one is one of my favorites. It might be since it's been my neighborhood Target for years, but it's also pretty perfect. Very well maintained, shelves are always fully stocked and all of the employees are fantastic. I'm also a big fan of the Starbucks inside...fast, friendly and tasty. Bonus...underground garage parking. It's key if you're not a fan of your car sitting in the Georgia heat, Georgia rain or walking a mile to get into the store. Overall...I LOVE Target and this location...is one of the best! read more

I AM IN LOVE WITH TARGET. all forms of it: the clothing, the shoes, the unmentionables, the PJs, the socks, the baby/toddler/children sections, the toys, the books, the snacks, the toiletries, the home improvement and decoration items, the gifts/cards section, the cooking appliances, the easy accessibility to starbucks (hot choc-i don't do coffee), the pizza hut-personal pan pizzas, and the icees. some targets are better than others, for instance, i love the food station and the clothing section in the target at lenox. and the target in fairfax, VA is a super target with common groceries and produce. however, this particular target holds a special place in my heart, b/c this is my "regular" visited target. 1.5 miles from my house, this is my stomping ground. i never leave target without purchasing, or wanting to purchase, an article of clothing. i am whole-heatedly and obsessively in love with their monster trail mix. and the best thing about this location, they are right next to kroger so the two are always offering competitive prices on the items they have in common. woo hoo, lucky me!! read more

The story of how I got my SNES mini: I've never sat outside early in the morning before. But there I was parked outside the target at 4:30am for a 7am store opening. Number 7 in line in a crowd that would grow to 50 people by 7am.this review is a thank you to the manager for having an incredible attitude and managing the crowd so we'll. At 6:30am being jovial isn't always the easiest thing, but he had us laughing and took a great selfie of the entire line. Thanks man, I hope you enjoy the vacation you earned it! How could I have missed Yelping about this Target?!? At least half of my current belongings came from this Target...it was the first store I found when I moved to Atlanta, so that I could one-stop shop to the best of my abilities. Like at all other Targets, I manage to drop tons of money on each visit, picking up all the necessities and random items. It is usually pretty well stocked, fairly clean and organized, and their customer service is no better or worse than your average Target. It's been a little bit of a searching game recently, since things are being moved around while they are renovating to add a food section. As far of the location, it's the one closest to my home, which is pretty much the most important thing. The location in Edgewood, with close proximity to Inman Park, Little Five Points, Candler Park, etc. has dubbed this Emo-Target, to match the Emo-Kroger across the parking lot...I find this moniker hilarious, but I guess hipsters still need to buy their black eyeliner, Target-Converse shoes, and bargain value plaid shirts from somewhere, all in one stop! I can see most of them sneering at the on-site Starbucks in all its chain coffee goodness, but hey, the caffeine here has fueled many a shopping trip for me. The parking above ground sucks, especially on the weekends, so I always park underground, which is always empty. read more

This is the worst target I've ever been to. It consistently disappoints. Unorganized. Dirty. Employees that care more about congregating amongst themselves then helping guests. Long lines no matter what day or time. I'm actually kind of shocked target allows this store to function like this. It's a shame. I ran inside Target to grab a few items today,7:05 on a Sunday, and was a little disgusted. The place was horribly dirty with trash and debris all on the floors INSIDE THE STORE. I understand days gets busy and if there isn't enough staff then it's hard to stay on top of it every second but that was hardly the case. I walked in to 3 associates standing near the shopping cart area laughing and talking meanwhile the cart area had trash strewn all over the place. I grab a cart and proceed to head to the aisle of destination, passing 2 more employees having a conversation and what do I immediately pass, yes, you guessed it, more trash! I always choose Target over other places bc I know I'll find what I'm looking for and I've never really seen one as aesthetically displeasing as this one. Do better Target off Morand!! read more

For some reason every time I go here it always has what I need. It doesn't matter if it's the weekend or weekday this location always makes me happy and not disgruntled to say the least. That's unbelievable and amazing this day and age. But the Edgewood plaza area is amazing as well. read more

I used to always visit this target and like the general area. I always wondered why I stopped going here until I went this week and yea, it's kinda a zoo in terms of traffic! No, no, nothing to do with Target per se, but just the closeness of all of the stores makes for some crazy congestion and near miss accidents. I like this target, enjoy the layout, think the alternative coffee shop (starbucks) is often forgotten with the other shops just steps away, and thus, providing privacy in the corner, and I usually find exactly what I want here. While the general area can be congested, you can't ask for better placement, surrounded by a kroger, best buy, lowes, chase, bookstores, restaurants, it's a well stocked location, and the Target fits right in. read more

I love me some Target! I go in looking for laundry detergent and walk out with a dress and home decor. This Target is pretty standard. It has a Starbucks and the popcorn at the snack bar is awesome. The expanded grocery section is pretty great. You literally can do all your shopping here. There are a couple reasons I did not give a perfect 5 stars for this store. I don't think these issues are unique to this store, but something I have noticed in Targets everywhere. First, they never have enough registers open so the lines can be long. I don't understand why they are loathe to open up more registers. Second, the bathrooms are terrible. Definitely hold it if you can! read more

Big body lady working the self check out today was extremely rude! tried to report an issue with underwear that was out of its packaging. We informed her about it and she said "What you want me to do". Very poor customer service. Really needs more training on handling issues. I never really see much difference from Target to Target. They're all pretty much the same. I'd definitely prefer Target over Wal-mart, but I won't use credit cards here since that whole thing went down where they were hacked for customer's info. It might as well be a walmart. Okay so parking sucks..not much I can do about that but this store is a true disappointment. I went in to return a product that virtually spoiled my hair and the miserable golden grilled customer disservice called herself refusing to refund me my money. Keep in mind I had my receipt, purchased the product 1 day before and certainly educated myself on the return policy. It was too early in the morning for me to deal with bafoons on a friday so I headed to buckhead. I got enough energy to complain to the store manager Jason who sounded like he wasnt going to do much but blink his damn eyes. Horrible customer service. All 5 employees I encountered on this visit could care less about me or helping me find what I need. First the lady at the fitting rooms (who spends all day putting clothes back) told me she had never heard of the item I was looking for and they didnt sell it. So when I finally found it myself, I pointed it out and her response was it must have been new. Uh no, its not. She was just lazy and didnt care if i found what i needed. The clothing is always so disorganized it's impossible to shop unless you feel like filing through every rack. And when my purchase is completed, your employees should THANK ME for shopping there, not the other way around. Target is no better than wal mart at this point. Won't be back. read more

I go to this Target all the time but tonight I wanted to write this review because of one particularly helpful employee. Nadia led my boyfriend and me around the store to help us find each individual item we were looking for. This was even more remarkable to me because it was 10 minutes before close when usually employees are trying to rush you out or are already checked-out in their minds. Gott in Himell; this is the worst Target ever. My neighbor thought my referring to it as the Great Soviet Target arose from the monolithic red balls implanted in the sidewalk outside, but I do so instead because the shelves are perpetually half-empty. You'd think that after a couple of years at this location they'd be able to trend their sales and stock appropriately, but no. Moreover, there always seems to be a bunch of stuff littering the aisles, making your shopping experience not unlike the one you get in the toy aisle at Goodwill. The only reason I keep subjecting myself to this store is that it's within walking distance of my house. But hey, that's okay; I didn't really need that hairdryer anyway. read more

Kudos to one of the managers - Charles! Not sure of his last name, but he was fantastic today. I was exhausted from working last night, left Walmart to come to Target for a Christmas tree and there were hardly any left. Charles was so kind and patient helping me find a tree. He didn't ha e to take as much time as he did as he was in the middle of working in another area. For this reason among many others, I love Target! This Target hooked me up! I was in Atlanta on business, and, in need of a couple things, I stopped randomly into this store - and what a surprise! Not only did they have the phone accessory I'd been looking for, but some food I wanted, too, even some rare, organic stuff that I'd never expected to find in Target of all places. When all was said and done, I'd finished my grocery shopping for the trip, in addition to getting other goodies I hadn't planned on. To top it off, the cashier who checked me out was especially courteous and friendly. In the end, I left with something of a glow. If my enthusiasm sounds a bit misplaced, know that I take nothing for granted, such that my being so thoroughly provided for was a joy. Much thanks to everyone at this Target.
