My hearing aids were lost and suddenly I was in need of some kind of hearing to function. I researched and found a good brand available at Target. I called, spoke with the manager Brianwho sensed my need, said he would have a tech person help me set them up, as I could not buy them if I didn't know they worked. When I git to the store, a very professional young customer service agent met me and asked if I was the one who called. She escorted me to the tech person, also Brian, who tirelessly to get my chosen aids up to speed. They are what I Needuntil more advanced ones can be purchased. Anytime I come to target, the service is always great! I was in need of a new notebook for class, so I stepped out and picked some up from target. The value was great and I also purchased a journal with Bible verses it is. I really need to have that. The Bible journal was a great value as well! I would highly suggest this store. Ive been to this target many times and today had some weird energy but usually it's a hit. While it's a bit hard to get to- up a hill off a busy road- there is ample parking and lots nearby. They were in a weird transition today and many of the shelves were empty or in shambles. I believe they're getting ready for spring (which is exciting). They do have a large selection of offerings in general. Their market stands out as the prices and variety is amazing. Weird I know but I found so many great deals there. On things from wine to salad. Renaissance store right? Love their home and games sections too. I did check online for a vinyl and it was confirmed in store to be there but alas upon arrival and talking with the nicest worker (William) we discovered it was not. He suggested online or the other store but I just chose a different one as my GF preferred that one anyway. William was a delight as was my cashier. She made great conversation and was super approachable. This really saved me from the frustration of not having my vinyl. Love helpful and happy people. read more

i have been shopping at Target for over 9 years. I love the store. I went to the Arden, NC store yesterday to look at vacuums because my Dyson is 11 years old & tired. lol. I didn't want to drop that much money again so I was investigating the Shark vacuums. Took me standing there on my phone about 15 minutes to decide with the help of Google. I went to finish my shopping and noticed an older man stalking me or rather following me around the store. I must have been naive cause I thought nothing about it. I'm a regular shopper there, I use to work there so why would someone be following me to get toilet paper, raisins, paper plates, ect? When I got to the checkout I realized who he was but didn't quite put it together until I got to my car. Undercover security or cop. Now why in the world would I be followed? I am a middle class, 59 year old young lady. I am mortified. Shopping at Target from here on out has been tainted. read more

I love this Target! I've been here probably 100 times over the years and always have a great experience. The parking lot is huge with little walkways going between some of the parking rows, the store is clean and organized, the employees Aaron friendly and the storre is packed full of all the awesome things thatt people go to Target for. Wow! What happened target?? Came in today to get some bedding and the bedding section looked like it had been looted at 8am right when the store should be it's cleanest. I wish I took photos because it was so comical. Not a single towel folded. Stuff on the ground and thrown up in piles. Then I go to check out and there is not a single human manning a register. I purchased a AT&T prepaid card at the Asheville store that clearly states that it doesn't expire for 90 days. This is FALSE... after much frustration I called AT&T directly and was informed that they expire in 30 days (this false advertisement ended up costing me about $400). I love Target. This target was larger than my hometown Target but I have NEVER seen such a messy store. My husband was following me around and randomly said what I was thinking "this place is a mess". A random lady shopping said that's what I thought too". If things were in order, this would have been the best Target I would have visited on a out of town trip, but nothing was in place. It looked like a bomb went off in that place. It's all about Wendy. She was working at returns when I realized the food processor I had just bought was actually not the one on sale. We went together to see what was up. The one on sale was a different brand and all sold out. I said: Well, I'll take the refund and see how much it is on Amazon. She countered with: We (Target) price-match! She looked it up on Amazon. Worst and most embarrassing Target I've ever stepped foot in. It's like no one works or cares here. Not only is everything on the floor or shelves empty but I couldn't find an employee on the whole left side of the store at 8pm on a Monday night. I pressed the help button 3 times before giving up and walking away. And to top it all off, they had to scan my id at self checkout while purchasing NA beer (and I'm 36). Asking for help at the Pharmacy for a question about where a product might be located in the medicine aisle. I interrupted a conversation between 2 pharmacist. the women was rude and disrespectful. Got an attitude because I interrupted her conversation and became short and quite rude that I'd have to ask a Target employee as she doesn't stick the shelves . This place got the job done in a pinch. My mom was able to find some newborn outfits which are absolutely adorable! I needed a zip up hoodie and I found one of clearance for only $6! I also needed a nursing top - something in a neutral color that was fitted. They had one - ONE - shirt that fit that description. And it was only a small. I really wish they'd had a better selection of Options. But check-out wasn't busy which was amazing. And, as always, I love my target card discount. Good perks! read more

This is specifically towards the Starbucks. Everyone at this Starbucks location makes drinks wrong, have stank attitudes, and has absolutely 0 professionalism. I have ordered a drink from here 4 times and every time I watch them make it wrong, correct them, and tell them to have a nice day. Every single time they cop an attitude right when I walk up to the counter, ignore me for 5 minutes, and don't even wash their hands. I've experienced bad customer service before but this is a whole new level of unprofessionalism. Hope their lives get better because I have never been so unhappy that i take it to work. read more

This store is a mess. Most shelves are unstocked and in disarray. They need more staff stocking and cleaning.

I love Target but this one is awful. It's an older store for one. Also their checkout lines are ridiculous and they do not have self checkout so you have to wait in the long lines. I'm not usually one for using self checkout but if I only have a few items I would rather use self checkout. So.....Target is like the "middle of the road girlfriend." She isn't to plain jane and boring like Walmart, but then again, she isn't high maintenance like a specialty store either. But rather Target is the place were you can find some nice sexy stuff for your place/head/stomach/feet/ears....etc.. for a good price. This place is always an easy in and easy out, though if you are out of town you may have to ask for directions as it is REALLY hidden away in a secondary shopping mall. read more

I like Target fine. Sometimes you just wanna get your nail polish and your tire iron in the same store, and for those occasions, Target is a clear winner. Also they have a classy-ish homegoods section, and their visiting designer program is always amusing. Compared to other big box retailers, Target USA is the proverbial shizzz. The same is true for this Asheville target, but it has some other issues that are costing it points. They carry all of the usual Target merchandise (cheap, fashion forward, disposable), but the execution is a little off: Some genius with an AutoCAD account has obviously been tasked with maximizing the merchandise square footage in this smallish location. Put the shelves and racks closer together, essentially. As close as they can physically go. Whatever he/she did might have looked fine on a schematic, but in execution it Sucked with a capital suck. "Why," you ask? Because many sections of the store were entirely impassable by the standard shopping carts this store provided. Supporting pillars frequently appear directly in the middle of narrow aisles, making passage difficult or impossible. In one part of the women's clothing department, I actually had to physically PICK UP my loaded shopping cart and CARRY IT to get where I needed to go. Luckily, I'm a strong mountain girl. For older mountain ladies and gentlemen, or the less physically abled, this would be a terrible situation. Best case scenario, it's an annoyance for able bodied customers. Worse, this is a serious accessibility issue for customers with mobility problems. Worse yet, some parts of this store might constitute a fire hazard, preventing timely egress from a burning building. It's not easy to appreciate the cheap-ass luxury of a made-in-China canvas fuschia chevron throw pillow, when you are being buffeted from all sides by other shopping carts who are treating your aisle like the Suez Canal, and you're blocking their shipping lane. Also annoying (although arguably a less awful annoyance than the epically cramped store layout): The cashier. I don't like to rag on people in Asheville for customer service, because honestly the customer service in this town is way better than you're likely to find elsewhere in America. Not this cashier, though. The only word to describe her would be "surly." Let's be clear, though. you really can't blame the cashiers in big box retailers for their attitude. You can take it to the bank that this woman was not getting paid a living wage, was working too hard for the money, and thus had earned every scowl, sneer, and eye roll she lobbed at the customers. At a certain level, I only have myself to blame for this. I chose to buy this stuff at the cheapest place possible--a level of cheap that can only be purchased on the sweat and toil of America's working class. Her recalcitrance was the natural product of a system that does not value human capital, and I, regrettably, am part of that system. That being said, I'm just not sure I ever want to be in her line again. read more

Do you know how I get in this place?! I use The Force on the glass doors leading in! Works every time. I then try to choke out my husband, or at least convince him with a mind trick to let me purchase a dozen bottles of Essie. I love this location. Look for sales on back end-caps, especially past the pharmacy (away from the direction of the registers; beauty stuff, ya know?). Prices are now competitive with Walmart or even lower with certain items. Have never had a bad experience here. Employees are super nice and helpful. The parking lot is not cramped and is green. Park and park! Get it? You can hear the train pass if you loiter outside for a period of time. Returns are easy. Go to the first aisle in the row of registers for that. Check out online what guest designer will hit Target in the upcoming year for even more beauty. Look for Target exclusives in all areas. I feel French when I come out of Target. Been to a lot of targets but maybe worst one I've been to. Long lines, empty shelves - maybe the day, but very odd.

Extremely disappointed. I went in to look at fire pits and their outdoor section is in the far back corner of the store. They had one fire pit left, with no price on it. Naturally I used my Target App, and the fire pit scanned $59.60. We went over to the the Lowe's next door to check fire pits, and there weren't any we liked, so we went back to Target. When we got back to the back, we found a few chairs that we liked and those had a price tag on them for $50, naturally we scanned the items and those scanned up as $24.50, we scanned the fire pit again, and it again came up to $59.60 again. So we loaded it all up and brought it to the front to self checkout, when we scanned it all at the register the fire pit came up to $199 and the chairs came up as $50 each. We waited for the Team Member (Taylor) to price match it, and so when she came by we scanned the fire pit and showed her it, and she input the price as $59.60. After she did that she used her mobile device and scanned the chairs and they came up to $50 each, so she rescanned the Fire pit and it then came up to $199 instead. At that point she had to call her Assistant Manager (didn't see a name tag) over and we explained all that had happened and that we scanned the item in front of Taylor and she saw the price of $59.60. When the ASM questioned her she stated, "Yes I saw it when he scanned it and it came up as $59.60". The ASM then questioned Taylor again and that second time she stated "I saw something on there that said $59.60, but didn't specifically see the fire pit". We were frustrated that she now had lied to her ASM after being questioned, and her ASM said due to the large difference in price, she would call and ask the Manager (Jake) to come up to to see what can be done. The ASM then disappeared and she came back 5/10min later and stated due to there being no "physical proof" they would not be able to honor it. I again stated the fact that Taylor even had seen it, and input it into the machine, but Taylor did not say another word, and the ASM said sorry and that was it. We are just frustrated at the fact that we scanned it 4 times and one of the times in front of Taylor, yet because Taylor then lied to the ASM nothing was done. I personally have never had a bad experience at any Target I've been to, but this has truly put a bad taste in my mouth. I did right after call Corporate Customer Service, and spoke to Michelle, and she contacted the store and spoke to Jake, who again said he would not offer the price adjustment. Michelle informed me she asked to speak to Taylor to get her side, and Jake (the manager) denied that from happening. Michelle offered me a $50 Target Gift card, and stated she was extremely sorry that this had occurred, and stated that is all she could do, because it was up to the stores discretion and she could not override it. Thank you Michelle for your help in trying to fix things, it was just unfortunate that Jake didn't trust the customer and put them first. It is just pretty disappointing that Jake wouldn't allow Michelle to speak to Taylor, come in person and speak to us at self check out, or just at best fix the situation that had occurred. Each of the self checkout stations have their own camera, that if they checked, could have seen me scanning the item with my phone and showing it to Taylor. At the end of the day, nothing can be done, so it is what it is, it was just a very disappointing experience and we most likely will not return. read more

This is a very nice Target store. I love that they have a Starbucks so I can caffeinate while I shop. I have just moved here from the West Coast and found many basic essentials I needed while awaiting the moving van: new cordless phone, stainless steel sauce pan, a throw rug for the cats in front of the fireplace, even food. Was able to get everything I needed in one place ahead of a winter storm. Whew! read more

Leaving a quick review for box store Target geared towards their pharmacy. If you haven't been to a Target before you must have been under a rock for a LONG time. This store layout is the same as all of the other targets I have been DRAGGED to...LOL Customer service was top notch at the pharmacy. No hassle no fuss just straight to business. Get in, get out, and let me move on with life. The young woman that assisted me was AWESOME. 5 stars for this customer service. I was literally in the store, from walk in to walk out, in 4 min!!!!! Store was very clean on this trip only giving 4 stars as this is a box store and I prefer not to shop at box stores but again just a prescription pick up. read more

I've been shopping at this target location for years and it's definitely gone downhill over the last year. Employees are unprofessional talking about their personal stuff very loudly with each other or complaining about the store/other employees. They are constantly stocking aisles, which should be done after store hours. And the aisles are consistently blocked with restocking carts or big boxes. Target used to be a good shopping experience for me, not so much anymore. read more

I appreciate Target's strides in diversity in the workplace by hiring Ukrainian immigrants. Proper training methods must be implemented before the employee starts working. I understand there is sometimes a language barrier; however, things could be managed much better. I was in the baby section, with my child, looking for the gallons of baby water. I asked the stocker where I might find it. She pointed to the bottles and cups and said, "For the water." I tried to explain to her what I was looking for, she said "I don't know" and continued working. If she stocks the baby section, would she not know where the baby water is? My child and I finally found it on an endcap on the aisle. Good job Target. Customer Service 101: A) If you do not know the answer, ask someone for help. B) If you do not understand the question, ask someone for help, C) When presented with a customer service opportunity, stop your stocking duties, ask someone for help, and help the customer find what they seek. I will continue shopping at this Target, as I have never had an experience as I did today. Please continue making advances to diversity in the workplace, but make sure a pleasant shop is enjoyed by all customers. read more
