I feel like I got judged and discriminated against today by the owner Mark. First time I met him was today. I inquired about tarped wood sitting in the parking lot. Rather than helping me, he seemed more interested in removing wood that he wanted to plane and sell and I was a distraction to his newly found treasure. As we were walking to go back in the store, he basically dismissed me. "Okay, thanks for stopping by." He literally stood in front of the door. I said, "I am sorry, did you assume I was not going to purchase the wood we looked at or look at anything else?" This was very insulting... He said, "that wood is very expensive. This comment alone told me that he judged me as someone who couldn't afford what I was looking at. Bad news for you is that I can afford it and your discrimination doesn't deserve a penny from me. Owner (Mark) don't bother responding. A response from you will never convince me that you don't discriminate. BTW: This place is way overpriced! Some of the stuff looks like garbage picked up off the side of the road.

First off, selection here: great. They have a whole bunch of stuff, from beds (not in the market) to recliners (still debating on) and couches (didn't know I was potentially in the market until this afternoon)...and, of course, the dining room sets including chairs I was looking for. Price was fair (not quite FB marketplace/NextDoor/CL cheap, but cheap), and then add same-day delivery and fantastic service make this place a great place to look for your furniture needs.

Upon our return we learned they were planning to close up the store earlier than what was posted, so we purchased the items we had found earlier. The price was adjusted accordingly and we left happy. Had we shown up 15 minutes later, the store would have been closed. I get it because it was bitter cold outside and almost NOBODY was out and about in Biltmore village that day.

Organization is not something this store has. They had pet stuff in front and in back. Just not a good feel to the store, no one that worked there said hi or if they could help us find anything. All in management and they wonder why these stores go out of business. Its a shame, Tuesday Morning stores use to be a fun store, I use to love seeing what was different. They offered to pick it up and give us 20% off another mattress. No refunds. No exchanged. It was nearly $1800.00 and they would not ( like the other three places I spoke with ) stand behind their product. Sad. So if you plan on buying a mattress I strongly suggest you try a company willing to stand behind what they sell. This one does not. We obviously went with another company that is willing ( in writing ) to guarantee what they sell.

The national chain stores feature fluorescent lighting and pushy sales people. Not to forget all of their products are off gassing toxic petroleum and fire retardants. Sleepworld is a very relaxing atmosphere. The lighting is calm. The employees are very knowledgeable and want you to be an educated consumer. The moment that I mentioned my concerns of off gassing, I was immediately pointed towards certain products and price points. I was never judged! Nor was I given any condescending crap like, "those claims haven't been scientifically proven," or, "the EPA says those chemicals are perfectly safe!" No, I was given alternative choices. I also had the opportunity to work with Amanda the store manager. Fabulous!! Not even kidding, she's fantastic. I will shop at Sleepworld again! I will work with Amanda again.
