This is a review just for the pharmacy. I got a COVID booster this evening, and the pharmacist did not verify my name or identity before she put that booster in my arm. Yes, I had checked in via text message, but relying only on this communication seems like bad policy. What if I had been waiting for a different immunization? And she only mentioned "Moderna" after putting the shot in my arm. What if it had been the Pfizer shot? Other pharmacies have a separate room where you can get a vaccination. This CVS in Target did not have that. I'm guessing if I had needed to take off a sweater to get a shot, I would have been giving all the customers in the pharmacy area a lingerie show. What went well? Digital check in was smooth, and I got email confirmation right after getting the shot. Even so, I don't think I'll use this pharmacy again! read more

This is a good Target for when you know exactly what you need and plan for it in advance. For example, I recently purchased an electronic item that was listed online as in stock. I got to the store and it was there. Only one sales associate in the store had a key to grab it, but thankfully he finished fairly quickly with other customers. He also honored the price listed on the Target website for my item, which was lower than the in-store price. I'd also consider placing an online order for pickup here, or dropping in for a few essentials. This is smaller than a sprawling suburban Target, but it's larger (and cheaper) than a comparable CVS. It isn't super crowded on weekdays if you're able to drop in during the day. Many patrons wear masks, though most of the staff didn't seem to be wearing masks in the summer of 2022. read more

I like Target a lot, but who doesn't?   They typically have everything I need, so it can be a "one stop shop" if I want it to be.  And, this location fits the bill but it is a bit on the small side compared to other locations around the city. It is one of Target's new micro-store concepts. It's has a small footprint but it is packed with lots of decent stuff, your usual popular brands, and all the essentials one would need. You can find anything you want here from groceries to household supplies to clothes or just about anything you want. Personally speaking, the prices are higher as compared to Walmart but the shopping experience makes up for it. At this location, I noticed the lines were usually smaller (shorter) and it's easy to find an assistant to help. The only downside is there is no Starbucks or Pizza Hut like most larger Target stores at this location....so you can't get your caffeine or eat on while shopping. Although I like the bigger box Target locations....I do like the convenience of their micro-stores. Its bright, open and easy to navigate. You tend to be able to get in and out quicker. Also, the customer service is adequate too. My experience was good with the individual working in the electronics section. He provide assistance on my purchase and answered all the questions I had regarding the product. I came here to shop for a pair of Beats Headphones. This store had the limited edition pair I wanted and was able to do a price match for a lower price found on Amazon. This was all done with no hassle or issues. I was happy with both the experience and purchase. My niece is starting her first year at Howard U. and came to this location with me. We were able to get most of the items she would need for her dorm room; at this location including furniture.....a desk, office chair, TV stand, and a even a futon...ALL this in such a small space!   In all, I really dig this Target location. Great layout, decent product selection and finds and not bad on the prices. My only gripe....I will say I notice the store is limited on men's clothing, but well appointed with clothing items for women. There is ample parking (1 Hour Free w/ Parking Validation) located in the building and it seems never crowded. Just don't quote me by that if you come during the weekend like a Saturday.  With such a small store (micro) concept, I am sure things can get a little hectic during weekend/weekday peak business hours as well....which I avoid anyway! An airy, beautiful, well stocked local Target (neighborhood version; can't compare to big box stores). It is located on the ground floor of a new apartment building. The key selling point is convenience. Store is clean and well lit, with natural light. There's plenty of self check out kiosks so everything is fast and convenient. read more

Small target in the heart of Ballston with a CVS Pharmacy, small grocery store, and plenty of other items--big enough of a variety to have everything I've needed when I've looked. Staff are friendly, as well. read more

Unlike other folks, I don't fault this store's selection. It's a big Target...for a city; not comparable to a big-box Target in the suburbs, but if that's your thing, drive there. It's in a very convenient walkable location, close to Metro and a high-density residential area. My gripe is that the store doesn't take COVID precautions seriously. Most customers are masked. Not all, but most. (This is VA; masks aren't required.) And it's not so hard to distance from shoppers who are unmasked. But then you get to checkout. There are only 4 self-checkouts, closely spaced and with no plexi or other shields between them. Target staff hang around the checkouts with their masks under their noses. Need help? They'll approach, still with mask under nose. In a bit of Hygiene Theater, they'll wipe down the scanner after you're finished. But I've never, ever seen them wipe down the touch screen. And most sales require touching the screen. Even the nearby CVS (which I detest) and the Giant have masked staff and plexi shields between the self-checkouts. Too bad. I live nearby and would buy more here if it weren't such a stressful experience. I sent the following email over a week ago and have been ignored. Tried calling and still ignored. So here goes. Let me start by saying I hate complaining because I know the service industry can be tough and I honestly can't even remember the last time I sent an angry email or review but Im pretty pissed after leaving your store.  So my son collects the Star Wars Black Series action figures. We live close by this location and after being pretty much completely sold out all season, I decided to pop in and see if they'd restocked. Lo and behold, I was excited to find a few really rare ones he wanted on a freshly stocked shelf. I grabbed one of each and tried to check out only to have the self checkout tell me it's not dated to be sold until April! The manager came out and very abruptly told me there was nothing they could do. Seriously? You have stock sitting around that many months in advance long after the holidays are over? I asked if there were a way to reserve it? No. Pick up in store? "I can't guarantee you'll still get it but you can try." Wow, what a slap in the face. I'm holding the item in my hand and you can't even guarantee I can get it? And all due to their mistake? If I wanted to be a Karen about it and scream and cry and thrown fit, I'm sure they would have found a way to make an exception just to shut me up, but I'm just not like that. I snapped a quick picture of a few of the items in question and attached it below.  On top of all this, there was another item that had been on the shelf for some time now that was marked down to $9.99 (Star Wars Black Series Luke and Yoda 2 pack). When I tried to purchase this, it rang up at forty dollars. When I asked if that was correct, I was told yes. Disappointed, I returned the item to the shelf only to hear the manager whispering to/chewing out another employee because it was mislabeled and how they would have had to honor that and what a close call that was. When I interjected and asked "so it WAS mislabeled?" the manager refused to even look at me and mumbled some very half baked excuses about how it's not mislabeled and there's stuff scattered all over the place (it was actually pretty neatly organized considering it was right after Christmas). I pointed out that there were many of this item left and they were all on a rack that clearly said $9.99 to which she gestured at another of the item that was sitting nearby and said "see they're all over the place" even though the rest were neatly hanged on one rack. Then she completely turned her back to me and chewed out an employee in a much more hushed tone, still refusing to even look at me. The other employees looked very uncomfortable. Personally, I think I deserve to purchase all of the items at market value and the 2-pack for the discounted price it was labeled as (and then lied about, directly to my face). I'm not looking for free stuff or to get anyone in trouble, I just want to be able to purchase what's on the shelves and for the price they're marked, which sounds beyond fair to me. read more

This is about parking to shop there, the lot is not listed separately. My 1-hour validation did not work. No one was at the booth today, no answered the help button. I had to pay to get out. And after FOR attempts to reach the right lot, the company refused to give me a 6 dollar refund because I did not push the button for a receipt on exit. So now I have to dispute the charge using my entry ticket, my validation ticket, and my Target receipt. This is way too much of a headache to buy a birthday card at Target. I will go to the Target on Rte 50 from now on unless I park on the street. read more

Details matter. The DM need to pay more attention to this store--and get the store manager in line! I've been coming here since they opened. It's been a poor experience from the beginning. However, I gave them a pass since they seemed to be a bit short staffed. They now have a sufficient number of employees such that I've been seeing employees idly hanging around and chit chatting. Employees hanging out and chatting wouldn't be bad, except there has been consistently been issues that need to be fixed. Small details matter! For example, the perishable SKUs need to be stocked FIFO, NOT LIFO. I've had to check every perishable item I buy. Further, have the hand sanitizer bottles at the check-out cleaned periodically, so they don't spray all over the place. This store now has enough employees to do the right things. Now it needs the right manager to make sure those things happen. In short, AVOID this store until it gets its act together. read more

I did curbside pickup. Have never been to this location so it was my first experience but don't think I'll ever do it again in my car. Getting out of the garage to go on Glebe rd in a mini SUV was nerve wracking. It's on a curve going up hill in a narrow exit. read more

Ok it's supper convenient but the staff here is terrible. I had a weird experience with a sales associate Shelby and then i guess a manger named Erin. This is my second issue with Shelby, the first time she wasn't very friendly. Today I came to return a scrub ( never opened it was in a bag from online , and shoes.. right off the back she tells me she can't return it: i had all my receipts. She eventually did the return rolling her eyes in the process: i had explained to her i wanted it on a gift card. I was just gonna use it there anyways. So she went ahead and processed to the card i paid for ( after i had asked for a gift card for both items. She then tells me she couldn't void it. I kept explaining to her i didn't have that card. She calls over Erin. Mind she was just as rude as Shelby. There talking to themselves , about my transaction as i'm right there. and the grossest thing i think i've ever seen a sales associate do, Shelby takes her hand and starts playing with her belly right , as she's touching everything else. Erin processed the return to the gift card ( and i asked for the receipt she put on table and rolled her eyes. I guess she was a manger but the amount of rudeness from both of them. I love this location. It's in a great location and is always stocked well. It usually has everything I need.
