First off, I LOVE target. I use to go to this one quite often when I was in high school but since I live closer to victorville I don't like to take the drive out there. My boyfriend recently moved near there so I go there a lot more often now. However (and I hate to be this person) but not a friendly to their black customers. Before my boyfriend went to grad school he use to work here as a cart attendant. The past two times I went in there had some slightly awkward situations. We went with his nephew. He went to the electronics section and I took his nephew to the toy section to look around. A man kept following me and walking past me staring at me. I was honestly kinda weirded out after the fourth encounter. So I went to my boyfriend and "coincidently" the same guy walked past us. My boyfriend said "oh that's the undercover security guard. Really cool guy". I then saw what was happening. I've never shoplifted it had any encounter with law enforcement. Not even a speeding ticket. I wasn't being a distraction, just laughing with my bf's nephew. I'm not sure why I was being followed. Went there last week and the girl at the self checkout was really kind to everyone else but when I came up she didn't say anything (which is fine). I noticed her staring at me the WHOLE time. She didn't say bye to me like she had everyone else. So I made sure to have my receipt in hand before I left. I think if that last encounter didn't happen with the other security guard maybe I wouldn't be so weirded out by it The only perk to this one is that there's not much traffic as the bear valley one. Why oh why does this Target not open more checkout stands??? It has 24 regular checkout stands and only two are open! And there's a long line at the self-checkout. I don't blame the staff -- the cashiers are generally nice and helpful -- but I do blame corporate for not giving a damn. read more

Update 3/16/2018: Target still sucks!! Even though I said in my last review I wasn't to go to this Target anymore. I did anyways and ordered my daughter and birthday cupcakes for school and was so disappointed. It looks like I made this crap and the unicorn cupcakes just looked like it's thrown together. Very poor job Bakery. I thought they were going to do an actual Unicorn, but they didn't. The writing was sloppy. This literally reminds me of a 1988 cake display. This mess cost me $30. I was really disappointed. I use to love going to this Target, but for now on I guess I'll start going to Albertsons or drive to the other Target in Apple Valley. This place is starting to going down hill it's unorganized, 1 or 2 registers might be open even when it's busy they're starting to get lazy and careless. I ordered my son a cake for his birthday on 4/20/17 and the cake looked horrible and taste like crap. I usually buy my cakes here for every occasion I'll be going some where else. Today is just the last time I'll be going here (not that it matters) but I went in 3/2/17 at 10:50am to pick up some chicken for lunch and it was still bloody I'm completely grossed out. The inside Starbucks employee was busting her bum (looong line) and was genuinely nice to everyone while doing every order and drinks alone! Great woman! However the store target in general is the pits, super slow and snobby cashier's. Lots of empty or junk shelves, the food section is like a mini staters which is fine but the other 2/3 of the store for goods is awful, selections are so poor. Employees are pretty rude as you pass by and they do allot of standing around snarky. read more

Target, I loved you until: 1.You forced me to use self check out with my toddlers near the exit doors 2.At Christmas, I stood in lines 15 people deep 3.You asked me every time at check out if I would like to save 5% with a red card 4.You supposedly put money on a gift card but it wasn't there when I went to use it and sent me to the original store across town to hunt down my money 5.You charge for bags and at check out you want me to bag my purchases now 6. The associates at the check out are the newbies so it takes just as long as self check out 7. Cartwheel app never works in the store 8. You want to scan my license when I buy alcohol but your servers were hacked and you want me to trust you 9. I love this store. I think it's clean and I think the staff are always friendly and nice. If there is a problem with price they always give you the lower price. It seems like they've been working on lowering their prices to compete with Walmart. They still are a little bit higher in price but sometimes it's worth it! read more

Disappointed that they have locks on cosmetic items that are $2.99 that you have to wait for a representative for. Then once its unlocked, they make you keep at the costumer service desk. I have forgotten my items there so many times and its so frustrating. I was there waiting for a team member, he could not help me. He had to call someone else to unlock a product for me. This is a retail store and I would understand an electronic but a $3 item locked up is absolutely absurd! When I called the costumer service, my son was coughing and the representative asked me if I should attend to my child by giving him medication. I was actually there in the first place getting medication! Super rude! That was the second time I called, the first time I called, the guy hung up on me. read more

I just wanted to mention a clerk that became very helpful when the credit card machines at Target weren't reading my card. There were two others the were very helpful but after trying their solution was paying some cash and then trying my card again when I'm positive I have the money in my account. So this employee Hallie just comes wraps a paper on my card and slides my card and boom!!! It worked 2 minutes later and I'm off. I almost walked out and forgot my stuff. Lol. But very amazed by effort Hallie very thankful for other employees. read more

Love this Target for all my needs even groceries. The grocery section is really organized and clean and the variety of items is insane. The employees are always really friendly and courteous. The only down side is the amount of registers they have open. I personally hate self check out unless I have only a couple of things I'm getting. Even the self check out line is always swamped. read more

They have a sign on the door that says Covid compliant, so they are receiving the $$$ from the government but they STILL don't comply with the mask mandate. The door says you must wear a mask to enter, yet half if their guests aren't wearing masks!! Favorite. Target. Ever!!!! This place is NEVER busy and I love it! Huge selection, always clean and friendly. Love that they have a bakery, deli, Starbucks, and a Target Café! I come here all the time with family to relax, eat and SHOP! I pray it stays open... it's always slow... I would give 5 stars, BUT...... VERY DANGEROUS parking lot and area, so be careful. In the last week I've encountered more rude employees there, than the in the previous 10 years it's been open. Today I found a super cute chair, but there wasn't a price so I found a target employee ( actually there were two) they were busy scanning prices and gossiping. I politely asked if one of them could help me find out what price the chair I was interested was. They didn't even look up at me and told me to go up to customer service. So apparently the target employees throughout the store don't do customer service. I guess I'll have to do my shopping some place that does. read more

This was the first super target in the high desert and it is still my favorite. It is way out in apple valley in the middle of nowhere, but it is always clean and filled with friendly employees. The store is huge and that annoys me about the main street target, but this location is quiet and mellow. Nobody is rushing around or pushing you aside to get to items like the other location. I actually enjoy wondering around and browsing through the home decor section. My cart as a habit of mysteriously filling up when I'm here because I find a ton of stuff and have the time to check cartwheel to see if its on sale. I also love that they have a lot of clearance here and it is always the stuff I feel that I need lol. Walmart is across the street so all of the ghetto people in their jammies stay in Walmart. Grab a Starbucks and watch your bank balance dwindle. read more

Holy SUPER TARGET, Batman... this place is the best Target I've seen in a long time! I would have given 5 stars if I lived within 15 mins of this Target, but I don't. To be brief, it's a Super Target! I have to travel an hour to see a Target of ANY sort because I live in a dirt pile wasteland called Joshua Tree. (Yeah, not my fav. place, sorry to all the hippies but I save places like this for romantic camping and stuff, lol) So I get there and it's effing AWESOME. Probably one of the cleaner Targets I have seen, too, which is amazing cuz Targets have pretty high clean and neatness standards as you may know. The drive is like nothing to me since when I got there, I was surprised to find that there are other stores in the same area that I would also shop at. Always good. AND, there is an Sbucks inside so when you tire of shopping (does that even happen?) you can re-fuel and keep going. The only Target I like better, and only for novelty purposes, is the Westminster Mall two-story (yeah, you heard RIGHT) Target. I don't know how much better it gets... read more

My beef is not with the super target but with the Starbucks inside! Coming from Seattle I've been to a couple of Starbucks and have had a few bad incidents with Starbucks but this has been the worst! The girl behind counter thinks that customer service is just 2 words and nothing more! My first visit there the lady told me to wait for a second and then she finished cleaning up, 5 minutes later I ask how much longer and she ignored me so I walked away. My second visit I waited for someone to help me and when she showed up she took my and got it wrong so I went back and she told me to wait while she helped everyone else and cleaned up some more before fixing my drink! I love this super target. Very clean, the bear valley targets parking lot is filled with trash, but this one is spotless. Nice employees, well stocked, and empty! It is so nice to shop in a big clean empty store. Only downside...there's usually a line and few cashiers, but its worth the small wait for a pleasant shopping experience. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I bought a TV and warranty. Tried to return it, they told me to go through the warranty. Warranty told me they couldn't fix it yet because it was covered with manufacturer. Manufacturer said they couldn't cover it. Contacted target warranty and they came and looked at it and couldn't fix it either. Target said they couldn't do anything for me now since I wasted my time with the warranties and it was past my time to return it. I am so disappointed at target acting like walmart. The only thing good about this particular Super Target is that it is convenient. I am a regular who will usually stops in 2-4 times a week because it's located on my way home from work. You would think management would recognize you as a regular and say hello, smile when eye contact or just overall be friendly. For the most part the cashiers are really good but the (evening) management are NOT friendly and AVOID contact. The weekend demo stations and the associates working the floor seem to follow the management's lead. I've gradually started doing my shopping elsewhere and dramatically decreased my visits to this particular location. read more

Always been a fan of Target even during some political confusion about endorsements. Not trying to judge such a great Brand based on one bad experience but this is a rating system which is why there are only two stars. We found out today in a not so pleasant way that if an employee is not wearing a name tag means they're not on the clock. This bit of information was affirmed by management and used to justify a negative experience with an employee. Not really the excuse I expected without even an apology from the Assistant Manager. Although, I would like to mention that when I spoke to the General Manager I am confident that improvements will be made to ensure positive experiences for future shoppers. I'm having a hard time these days spending money in stores where the employees are not friendly and act like you are asking too much of them with simple questions. Really nice SuperTarget, the first to be built in Cali from what I understand. Pharmacy, Photo, Optical, Pizza Hut Express, and Starbucks. Large, clean grocery section. Huge clothing selection. We drive down from Las Vegas on occation as this is the closest SuperTarget to us. It is always completly dead, I doubt they have ever used more than 3 of their 28 checklanes at a time. The thing I don't understand is why the hell would anyone go to the ghetto regular walmart when there is a new SUPERTARGET right here!?! Don't get it, I would kill to have one in Las Vegas. read more

However I wanted to shout out one employee in particular for just always being so helpful. Jose T. has gone and checked on items other employees said they didn't have. And find them in fact in stock.. Besides that he is a cool person to talk too and really professional. I honestly just want to say that on his work ethic alone I continue to go here over any other store and am always hoping he's the one to help me because it has not happened once or twice but several times he has gone the extra mile to get something or rescan something . Apple Valley North Target is my 'Home Target". I appreciate the extra savings my family and I save with cartwheel and our red card! Of course, saving money keeps me coming but the employees at this location are seriously the best! I shop at this location at least twice a week. Each visits the associates are ready and happy to help if I need extra help finding an item, or even if I want to ask a fashion question when I am shopping for apparel or home decor. This is my one stop shop for everything, I can grab my Starbucks, get my groceries, pick up anything I need for the house or kids, and even find a new outfit. That might be why my husband doesn't let me shop there alone anymore... but seriously, to me it's worth a little bit extra money to enjoy my time at the store and get everything I need. They have a great Baby department and I love to check out all the new make up they always have in the beauty section... They always have Brands you can't find anywhere else. It's a damn shame Barstow only has Walmart (the most ghetto and horrible customer service possible) and I have to drive about 45 minutes just to make most of my grocery runs here after I finished my old volunteer work in Apple Valley back then. I realize it is the beginning of the year, but you guys are going out of your way to do things that were NOT asked to be done and not bothering with the things that HAVE BEEN asked for.
