When we did go back recently the store had a bit of a remodel. It was nice, but just did not have the same feel as before. Prices on items tended to be a bit more hefty and the selection seemed more, how can I say,... "tan?" We went on a Saturday, which used to be a very busy time for them. But this time the store only had a couple of shoppers. Just couldn't put my finger on it, but it just didn't seem as interesting or inviting. The staff seemed a bit standoffish as well. I suspect if we are back down that way, we may stop by. Just don't think this will be a planned destination any longer.

She was like Aunt Bea brought all of the way to 2019 to help out a man in need. The next day I went down there in a hurry to try this bad boy out for myself. They threw in delivery for free and I bought an extended warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty because I want this to last me the long haul and my family ain't too easy on the furniture. When we came in he told us go ahead and look around he was going to call the power company and harass them then he would harass us. I thought he was joking, but it was unprofessional. My daughter found a pair of nightstands to purchase and since her husband is in the Navy I asked if he could give her a military discount. He immediately started in about being drafted and he didn't get any discounts he just got sent to Vietnam. He carried on about this and seemed somewhat combative about it. As we were leaving he did attempt to apologize, but it was a little late at that point. A simple we don't give discounts would have been a much more professional and courteous response to my inquiry. My reply was, "I would probably offer a refund at that time." Apparently this sent the owner over the edge. He walks off throws a few things around and comes back cursing at me. He let me know that he was having back pain but that he didn't have to exchange or refund anything. I proceeded to ask him about his return policy and at that time he told me that I needed to leave. He asked my husband earlier if he could see the table in our home. Of course my husband refused. While escorting us out of the door, he mentioned something along the lines of ...since he could not come to our home we needed to leave his store. I have never experienced anyone as rude and unprofessional as this guy. The story gets worse because I came back to the store to take pictures of his non-existing return policy. At that time he threatened to call the police and have me arrested for being a public nuisance. I don't recommend that anyone purchase anything from this establishment!

There were also refreshments, and they had a drawing for a gift card. If you're looking to do your own "picking," this isn't it, but there are some nice items. Booths are curated collections of items both new and old, and while I didn't find anything I just had to have, and partly because I was just looking around, I didn't end up taking anything home that day. However, if I were looking for a period piece, or something to redo a room or space, I would consider looking here for something that isn't a big box, mass produced piece.
