A sympathy arrangement of beautiful yellow roses was delivered early this morning to help console friends who had lost a loved one. Gracious hostess and Inn owner Stasia went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. She made a hot cider drink for us night of arrival. Stasia cooked magnificent breakfasts each morning with mouth watering entrees and homemade baked goods. Inn is just a few minutes away from Manchester for interesting shops and excellent restaurants. Cozy library and sitting area with period furnishings. No phones or TV in the rooms which is really why you go away.. to escape! Stasia is a very friendly hostess and eagerly will help you with a dinner reservation and be sure you are comfortable. Hot tea was always available. Hot breakfast with fresh fruits and plenty of coffee or tea- very tasty and filling. All rooms have canopy beds. There is a guestroom on the ground floor so if stairs are an issue you can request that one. Parking is a short walk from the front door. Grounds are lovely with a small pond and not far from Hildene or Manchester Center. Room rates are fair given its proximity to so many lovely attractions in Vermont. I called but rather than leave a message, I texted Anna. I told her I was interested in mostly white flowers and greens and hoped it could be delivered same day. I texted the message for the card and paid using Venmo. You can also pay by credit card. These incredible flowers were delivered within a few hours. in this case, a picture is truly worth a thousand words. I could not be more pleased. I just wish her business was near where I live!
