Honestly, I just give them a lot of artistic freedom to create the arrangement and they have never disappointed the people I gave flowers to. I have used this florist for years. I unfortunately had a need to send flowers to a funeral last minute (just over 24 hours notice on a weekend), to an NY zip code that the big national operators don't serve. A Lasting Impression took care of it for me and exceeded expectations in every way. If you're like me and don't know exactly what to get for these things, don't hesitate to go with the Designer's Choice...their designer(s) did a fantastic job and created something much more beautiful and stunning than any of the options I had seen on the big sites at comparable prices. Well, I cannot say anything other than my experience with A Lasting Impression Florist was easily the best experience I have had when placing a flower delivery order. As I am out of town, I wasn't certain what to expect. I had originally wanted their succulent garden, which was out of stock, and received a pleasant phone call from them indicating this problem. They offered this exquisite dish garden, which was more than I had imagined for the price, and was I ever pleased! They even obliged to sending me a photo of the completed arrangement, as I had requested. The best part is this order was intended for my ailing nephew and my goal was to make certain that it was masculine. Talk about paying attention to detail!! They knocked it out of the park, and I cannot wait for the next occasion to use them. Heck! I may not even need an occasion to do business with them again I like them so much. My review here should be considered merely a caveat and suggestion. I have not called Lasting Impressions to share this review simply bc I can't imagine there is any recourse, nor do I want there to be. I was late to order for my mom's bday and the salesperson was pleasant and accommodating. I asked for a bouquet in the $75 range bc I wanted my mom to be overwhelmed. With tax and delivery the bouquet was $94. I expected a large, bold, unique bouquet. When I arrived for my visit I was disappointed at the arrangement. I live in a town close to NYC and our prices are generally higher than in Queensbury. This bouquet would have been in the $50 range in my town. My suggestion would be to know exactly (flower type, color, height) you want and let them tell you how much it will be. I would have preferred smaller and more impressive at $75 than this size (which we think is medium-sized) and presentation. The diameter at its widest is 10-12 inches --maybe it needed some varying height? Again--great customer service. Just be very specific! read more

I'm so disappointed. I used them for my wedding (granted it was 20 years ago) and they did a beautiful job. I don't live in the area any longer but have always used them to send flowers to friends and relatives in the area. I have never seen what they sent but based on my wedding experience assumed they were continuing to do a good job. This past week I ordered, a day in advance, a bouquet in a vase to be picked up for Mother's Day - something around $60 that would be a bright and cheery spring bouquet. When I arrived to pick it up I couldn't believe my eyes. It was sparse and dull but I thought that I would show my husband, who was waiting in the car, before I passed judgement. I paid the $64 and got in the car. My husband took a look and also pointed out that the roses had brown around the edges and the other flowers were beginning to wilt. It looked like it had been in the case for a week and didn't have enough flowers to fill the vase. He agreed that we should take them back. We went back in and I explained that I was disappointed and the woman half heartedly said "let me see if I can find some other flowers to add" and walked in the back. No apology or acknowledgment of how awful the arrangement was. While waiting we noticed some other arrangements in their refrigerated case that looked nice for $40. I asked if I could just take one of those instead and get a refund for the difference. She said she could not give me a refund, which I find ridiculous. They had a box of chocolates on the counter with a price of $20 so I asked if I could take one of those and we could call it even to which she reluctantly agreed. Now I wonder if for 20 years I have been sending people lousy flowers. I won't wonder anymore because they have now lost my business. Had I heard any kind of apology or acknowledgment I would of course give them another chance and chalk it up to a bad day but this was sadly not the case. The only reason I'm giving them more than one star is because the arrangement in the case was well done. read more
