The guac with jalapeño followed the same lead: super spicy and packed with flavor, no shrinking violet of a dip. The fiesta salad topped with a little of that spicy guac was genuinely one of the freshest, most flavorful dishes I've had at a Mexican restaurant, period. And the tacos were understated but sublime, letting the flavors do the talking instead of piling on unnecessary extras. If you're passing through Dalton, get off the highway for this one. It's earned a spot on my must-stop list.

I came here for a…read morefriend's birthday dinner and they had a nice private area upstairs for us to eat and sit altogether. We had a large party. It was my first time coming all the way out here and I have to say, this is one of the best Mexican food restaurants (if not the best) I've ever been to in the area. I ordered the Beef Chimichangas and it was absolutely delicious. Huge portion sizes, every side was tasty, and the vegetables tasted fresh too. The dish overall was flavorful and savory. The sides were wonderful, crunchy, and fresh. I can't complain really. The menu prices were affordable, which I really liked. And they were generous with the sauce on top! Service was great, they did a pretty good job taking care of us since we had a huge party of people for the birthday. They were attentive, helpful, and funny. I'm so happy to say that I wasn't let down or disappointed in the slightest. I'm not sure when I'll be back around Dalton, but I would definitely come here because I know I'll be eating good. My experience was so memorable, thank you!

We were quickly seated and Tony, our server, came and greeted us. He took our drink orders and we ordered the queso as well as guacamole made by the table. After bringing our drinks and queso (was very quick), he took our orders for main dish. We ordered the Super burrito choosing chicken over beef. He then came to the table with the cart for the guacamole stating that the woman who normally does it was busy making fresh tortillas. Tony was not only very kind and affable, but does he know how to make guacamole! So tasty! Soon our entrees arrived. Piping hot and so delicious. The portions were very filling and definitely satisfied the desire for great Mexican food. We will definitely be returning. Nothing but good things to say about Las Palmas!

Los Amigos was packed for lunch, & that was a good sign for us as we motored through this small town. The waitress exuded tons of Georgia hospitality. She took good care of us.
