I ordered the Special #1 which comes with a taco, guacamole salad, beans, and chile relleno. When I started to dig into the chile relleno, I quickly realized that there was no sign of a stuffed chile pepper on the plate. It was a melted plate of cheese and sauce. I brought it to the servers attention and she giggled and told me it was supposed to be that way....... Excuse me, what? I have eaten a ton of chile relleno in my lifetime all across the country. I've never been served a plate of melted cheese with no chile in sight lol. So, I was given more chips to eat the "chile relleno" because, how else does one eat a plate of cheese?? The taco was good, the guacamole was fine, the beans were fine. Nothing special anywhere. Servers congregated at a table in the corner of the restaurant on their phones most of our visit, rarely taking care of their customers. Definitely won't be back! Very poor service and disappointment in food quality and taste. Drinks sat empty for almost 10 minutes. Had to ask 2 times for cheese dip. Never brought refill of salsa after bringing chips twice. Finished meal for 5 minutes and stood at register for another 4 waiting on ticket to pay. Had a health score of 68 on (7-17-18) and then 3 days later on the followup still had an 89...in todays world anything below a 90 is really unacceptable. Terrible experience. read more

I can't come here anymore and it saddens me. It's one of the few places that sells authentic tacos. They're very good. While eating last night I see two roaches running around on the wall behind my friend. I had to avert my eyes to prevent my facial expressions from giving away what's happening. It truly disgust me to see this. If I see two running in the lighted heavy traffic areas there's no telling what's lurking behind the scenes. I can't go back. read more

So don't plan out your meals according to the menus given. They charge WAY more than the menus state and don't tell you. I made the suggestion for them to tell their customers in advance of ordering that the prices in the menu are not accurate but that they needed to be raised due to COVID...the guy at the desk told me that they didn't need our suggestions and to just pay. Argumentative and rude service is not the way to get repeat customers to help pay those bills. Oh and the steak is so cheap quality you can't even cut it and it's better quality at a low priced fast food place. read more

My family has been eating in this restaurant for the last ten years and it is still one of the best Mexican food restaurants in the area. While I now live in Texas, I always go back to Dalton and this restaurant for our annual family get-to-gathers and birthday celebrations. The restaurant has now gotten its second wind and with that, the service and food are all outstanding. In the last two weeks I was able to hold my sisters 92nd birthday celebration there. While the restaurant normally does not take reservations, (because they don't need to) I asked and they responded favorably to me and on an extremely busy Friday night granted a reservation for me and 20 guests. All I can say is many many thanks for extremely outstanding service, outstanding food, attention to detail on all fronts and by the way, the margaritas are also the best. No brag, just fact. My sincere gratitude to the new manager and wonderful crew at this restaurant. We hope to continue doing business for many years here. read more

The food was great but we had to box it up within 5 minutes of getting it because we were being swarmed by over ten flies

Our server was a girl with two braids and a purple shirt. She was the worst server I've ever had. Took her 15 minutes to acknowledge us and all she said was " what can i get you?" And stormed off before we could finish. Second, we had to get our own silverware. Luckily they had clean ones laying around on other empty tables. Never came to ask if we needed refills, just grabbed our cups and filled them up and walked off again. I would've liked another bowl of salsa but she never came to the table to address us and our needs. We tried to catch her attention but she just kept walking away. The only time she came and asked us if we needed anything was when we were already finished and super pissed off so we just asked for the check and she slammed it on the table and stormed off again. Super annoying and i just wanted to walk out and not even finish my dinner. Fortunately for them i was hungry and paid what i had to pay. If I could make it zero I would. Waitress was rude as hell, her name was Odeth. She had been rude the whole time, we had asked for a new basket of chips because ours were very hard and burnt and she rolled her eyes and stormed off to get them like it was our fault. Then my father went up to pay and here they don't write down what food is with who so you have to go up and tell them everything you got, even though they take your order, so my father listed out everything we had. My father then payed but before he could even look at his receipt she threw it away so he went and sat back down. Later she came back to my brothers table, he was sitting with us baseball team behind us, and yelled are you not paying for his meal too, very rudely. My father thought he had since he had already told her about the burrito whilst paying because the bill was already 45+ dollars. So my mother asked her why she was being rude and she loudly says "Well if you don't want to pay, don't" and stormed off. That is no way to talk to a customer when it was clearly her fault for not ringing us up correctly. My father did end up paying AGAIN. We will never be back, oh and on top of that they add a gratuity to your checks without informing you, mind you we don't mind paying gratuity but you should always inform the customer especially since she added the gratuity twice. She should be fired for how disrespectful she was especially working in customer service and food was definitely not worth the money we payed twice for. If I could leave this place no stars I would!!My husband,our daughter,an myself stopped yesterday for lunch while in dalton an goodness did we regret that $41.00 that we basically gave away to them!We ordered 10 mango habanero wings,supreme nachos,fajitas,an enchiladas,2 sweet teas an a water...the food was NASTY!The shredded chicken had a fishy taste,the liquid cheese tasted like water with a hint of cheese flavor,the enchiladas was not done,an my husbands fajitas was not good nor worth $14..2 shrimp,3 pieces chicken,an 3 pieces of steak,the wings was way over cooked with a few squirts of mango habanero sauce.I showed the young Hispanic girl up front an told her the food was awful an all she did was take $2 off...really chickI told her my dog just got her a meal an that's if she will even eat it.Needless to say my little family won't be back an I'll be letting people know to not waste their money at this restaurant!If you want dang good Mexican food with friendly staff make the drive to Los Amigos in Chatsworth,Ga...you definitely won't be disappointed! read more

I ordered from the special menu, grilled garlics shrimp over rice. It came with 6 small shrimps and they where not even grilled. The garlic sauce they were sautéed it tasted old and overall terrible. I'm very disappointed and wished I had not gone here. read more

give this one star because you can't give negative stars . We went to eat here today and it took them 47 mins to bring our food . My food was a taco salad , its was the most disgusting dish ever . My tortilla bowl was burned black all around the top half of the dish and the beans inside the dish tasted old , the chicken was cold and tough , and had to be sawed with the butter knife given me . My friend's plate was not served with its entire order she had to ask for her food . The meal she had was warm but her beans also tasted old . The waitress we had didn't come back to our table for service till I had to get another waiter to find her some 39 mins after we sat down . She didn't even ask if we needed drinks or how we were doing and had to be chased down to get our tickets . Neither I nor my friend ate our meals only a few bites . We left after we paid with over 3/4 of a meal on the table. read more

This restaurant is in the Kroger Plaza. I was apprehensive about trying it until a coworker took me there. It was a little dark inside but it was comfortable and the service was good. I ordered the street tacos and devoured them! Good food at a good price. I'll be back! read more
