Tapsilog. Tocilog. Longsilog. Bangusilog. Hotsilog. Bacsilog.
You name it and I'm sure Tapsi ni Vivian has it!
I've fallen in love with this little carinderia back in 2011 when my former officemates took me to its Marikina branch. There wasn't anything fancy about the place. It just looked like a big cafeteria, really. But don't be fooled by its humble appearance because this place definitely knows how to deliver super good silog dishes!
My personal favourite from their extensive silog menu is their tapsilog. The meat is cooked perfectly and the taste has the right balance of salty-sweet to it. You don't even need vinegar when eating it! I've also gotten to try their tocilog and I have to say that I enjoy it because of how they cook it. You see, I like my tocino cooked toasty, with some parts a little burned. Thank the silog heavens for letting the cooks at Tapsi ni Vivian get this right!
If you think that's all they've got, hold up! They also serve chicken skin, liempo, Spam, bbq and other yummy silogs for you to try! Basically whatever you fancy, they've probably got it!
Another thing I love about Tapsi ni Vivian is that they are priced well. It won't burn a hole in your wallet and you always get your money's value! Tapsi ni Vivian is all about good food without the grandeur, and in my book, that's never ever a bad thing!
I love going to Tapsi ni Vivian right after we play badminton. I haven't gone in a while (boo!) but I plan to do so soon! I terribly miss their home-style dishes and I can't wait to return! Visit them at their Cainta branch or Marikina branch! read more
