Drinks were great and made confidently, like a manhattan, old fashioned, and perfect pear. The bottled Stella was a bit warm. Burger was good and hot and not dry. Chips for the crab bacon dip were excellent, however the dip itself was unenjoyable. The french onion soup was overfilled with mushy bread and the cheese was not browned on top, but the flavor of the broth was good. The beer cheese soup wasn't my favorite, by my family liked it.

Same menu for years . Very rarely the menu is changed. Tired of having the same food. Need new items , more seafoods . Service is fast and easy to get a table here.

The food and service here are exemplary. We are quick to review places away from home but often forget to support those places in our home town. Taproot always provides good food, drink and service. I typically go with the skirt steak and vegetables.my husband vacillates between the fried bluegill or the pork chop. He loves both. Open for dinner Wednesday - Saturday. Cocktails are perfect too.

Service and food are top notch. Atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. I was in town visiting for work and wanted to eat here every day because the food was just so good!

hot rock appetizer $11 and creamy mushroom & leek soup $4 in background

We ordered creamy mushroom & leek soup and the hot rock for appetizers. The soup lacked flavor and could've been served warmer. The meat for the hot rock was so tender and delicious on its own, but again, the soy dipping sauce lacked flavor and seemed watered down. I ordered the drunken pork chop since it wasn't available on a prior visit. It was cooked well, but I didn't get much whiskey or maple flavor. Maybe the sauce needed to be reduced more as it was a bit watery. The grilled asparagus was fine, but the garlic mashed potatoes were bland. Others in my party had the TapRoot burger and 8oz filet of beef tenderloin with crab crust. The burger was enormous. No complaints from them. We were at a high top in the bar area. Service was a bit slow for a Tuesday evening.

I've had the salmon a couple of times and it is VERY good....large portion, worth the money! Their lunch choices are quite good too.

If you're staying at the Ramada or other nearby hotel in Forsyth/Decatur, this venue offers…read moredecently priced drinks, great space, attentive staff, and...underwhelming food. I completely agree with Yelper Al D.'s 'meh' description of their food. I literally |do|not|understand| how my build-your-own (extra cheese, jalapeños, sausage) had NO flavor. I doused it in red pepper flakes and parmesan cheese they brought to the table and still nothing. My wings were fried and tossed in buffalo sauce and served with blue cheese. From the picture I added to Yelp, you'd think they were pretty solid...but my taste buds were equally dismissive. And I also agree with Yelper Angela S. I tried hopping tables to find one that wasn't wobbly before I gave up and stuffed some napkins under one of the legs. As I lifted my head I noticed how many nearby tables had attempted the same thing. IMHO, if you're looking for a venue to watch a game, have a cold, yeasty beverage with friends, and snacks, Draft Sports Bar & Grill will suffice. If you're looking for anything else, best keep driving.

We had a good time here and would love to try it again…read more Reason for 3 stars is that tables were wobbly (we moved 3 times). Biggest disappointment was that the fries were lukewarm and soggy. They were clearly not fried long enough or temp up correctly. They were also out of the sliced beef tenderloin sandwich, something we came to try. Lots of TVs and seating, large bar area with gaming stations and cool bathroom sinks. They have horseshoes and lots of other good items on the menu that I'd like to come back to and give them another chance to increase their stars.

Ambiance: nice sports bar. Plenty of big TVs. Zero complaints. (4/5)…read more Service: great. Very friendly and helpful. Was checked on periodically which was nice. (5/5) Food: had the wings. They were fine. Menu says house made ranch but it was ok. Didn't really taste like homemade / house made. Wings were good size. Got the garlic parm. Tasted like most other places. My complaint is that they tasted a little under cooked. There wasn't any pink but it was border line. Then tried the traditional "hotshots famous " wing sauce. But.. I got them "trashed". Which is double dipped and fried. I really wanted to like these but they just didn't taste like traditional buffalo sauce (franks hot sauce, butter and vinegar). But the biggest issue was the up-charge. The menu says for trashed, it's "$2 extra" but.... I was charge $2/wing! I hope mgmt fixes that. With all that said, I'd like to try again but maybe a burger next time.

We got "The woody burger": it features grilled cheese as the buns for each bun. We also got a frisco melt and the soft pretzels with cheese sauce. Generous liquor/bar selection and many food options. Though we came close to closing, our food was top notch, the chef was amazing. It is cash only but they have an atm inside. Table seating and bar/high stool table sitting. Overall a great atmosphere.
