Lincoln Square Lounge is a total dive bar. It's small and kind of trashy, and after 9 it definitely becomes the hot spot in town for all the locals to get drunk at. We went for dinner on a Saturday night because they serve what I was told are the "best gyros." We were a party of seven, and when we arrived they were pretty much dead. We were able to get the corner booth that was just big enough for all of us to squeeze in. Their menu is quite limited. You are given a choice of gyro, a cheeseburger, flaming cheese, a roast beef sandwich, or pizza. They were out of both cheeseburgers and flaming cheese the night we went. Majority of the people in our party ordered the famous gyro, others ordered the roast beef and a mini pizza. The food was up pretty quickly. The gyro was very good, I enjoyed it a lot. I was told the roast beef and the pizza sucked. I would have given them four stars, but our waitress was horrible. She was friendly in the beginning, but quickly turned cold towards us after one request to have the music turned down (the speaker was directly above one person in our party's head and it was blasting heavy metal) and after a mix up with the wrong kind of potato chips being delivered and a request for the correct ones. She seriously turned into a bitch who wouldn't even make eye contact with us. Sorry, lady! By the time we left the bar was getting really busy. There were loads of people streaming in who came from all walks of life, it was quite a feast for the eyes. I can see why people like the food here, but the server was horrible. read more

I went in there last week I don't know there was a concert next door at the Lincoln theater but I decided to park a little ways and just do my best to walk there. I went in sit there for approximately 10 minutes then I moved in front of where they washed their dishes and still nobody acknowledged me Then the bar back came up and asked me if I'd been helped and I said no can I get a menu he was very nice. 2 bartenders nobody asked for another 5 minutes or so if I would like to order or if I would like something to drink until a gentleman walked up next to me and was asking for a shot of tequila. So again I sit there I guess you have to be a regular to get service in there. So anyway one of the bartenders finally asked if I'd been waited on I said no and I told them I guess you have to be a regular to be waited on I was getting ready to leave anyway I went ahead and ordered a Burger and fries and had half of the Burger most of the fries and I was never asked if I needed anything else if I was OK nothing. Can't say that I'll go back anytime soon if they only knew I used to be a bartender and a casino host so I tipped very well for good service, wait I tip for service! read more

This place is ok. Nothing fancy to be honest. It has a pretty neat bar set up but that's about it. When you first step in it has a dark feeling to it due to the color of the walls and furniture and the lighting as well. They do serve food here. I usually get their gyros which are pretty decent IMHO, but nothing special. Their beer selection is ok, which isn't saying much as I usually get Busch Light. The bar has expanded over time as it has added two more rooms which gives it plenty of space. It's in downtown Decatur, which also isn't saying much, so parking isn't an issue if you decide to go. read more

I was first introduced to Gyro's in NYC, only lamb. As my diet has progressed, I try to stick with chicken or fish. Sadly to my surprise, when it comes to Gyro's, good chicken gyro's are hard to find. HOWEVER, this place has GREAT chicken gyro's. I didn't drink or enjoy the whole bar scene, but it's a great lunch option if you're craving gyros. I'd definitely recommend it. read more

I stopped for a quick beer and lunch. The cheese burger was good. For the price can't go wrong for the size. I'm new to the area and have stopped a few times. Love the bar atmosphere and service is friendly. I love the Bloody Mary. It's one of my favorites out of many Bloody Mary's I've had over the years. Also had a cup of chili recently. This place has really gone downhill as a bar. I strongly dislike the male bartenders here. They're rude and arrogant and clearly drink way too much while working. Similar to the other reviews - Just can't get past the rude service. I honestly don't know what my wife and I did to offend the server other than walk in and not be a regular. World famous gyros? Not even the best in Decatur. My wife order chicken mucho nacho - which appeared to have beef. Politely sent it back. Server returned, throws the same plate back on the table and tells us that that how they make it, with chicken gyro meat. This was a better bar than I expected. We sat down at a booth but ended up going up to the bar to order drinks because it seems no one takes orders at the booths? No big deal, didn't take too long to get a drink. We were there pretty early for a Saturday night so it wasn't too crowded but it seemed to be getting busier as we were leaving. Lincoln has been completely updated and has been expanded to 4 rooms with pool table, dart machines, gaming room(5 machines that pay!,golden T, Buck hunter 3 bars. Great friendly staff!, great food, not pricy!.it's old school and classy!.have to get the flaming cheese...they light it on fire at your table. They have a karaoke Wednesday and Thursdays. And a dj on fridays! Nice to have a business meeting at lunch, and party at night.they even have a banquet room to book parties. Also they are open everyday Monday through Sunday with daily drink specials! Known for gyros, but also have great burgers. read more

First off the food is really good, BUT that would be all. The service is SO SLOW!! This was our second trip and it was worse than the first. Both times there was only 1 person working the bar & acting as the server. My family of 4 went and ordered gyros which are the house specialty and it took us an hour and they weren't even that busy! We had to flag him down for the bill. I am so glad I had cash or it would have taken even longer. Why on the weekends and holidays would a bar/resturant only schedule 2 ppl to work?! We heard aeveral ppl complain to the server and he explained he was the only one working the whole bar and his manager only scheduled 2 ppl. Sorry but this is just not exceptable. My boyfriend's family and I had a reservation for 6 PM last Saturday for dinner at the Lincoln Lounge. We were attending a show at 7 next door at the Lincoln Theater. When we arrived, the server acknowledged out reservation but did not have a table for us. We packed into 2 booths and waited for the only tables that could accommodate us to be cleared once the customers (who did not have a reservation) who were there left. The server who is also the bartender did not take any drink orders from us and told us they did not have menus. They have one board painted with the gyro menu over the grill, but nothing that says they also have fries and burgers. This is all they have-gyros, a greek salad, fries, and burgers. The first booth we were in had a top that was about to come off. There was no way a person could eat on it without the heavy possibility of it tipping off at any point. When we finally switched to the high top table we experienced the same issue- a table top about to fall off. We finally got a server who had just walked in to take an order from us at 6:30. When it got to be 6:50 and none of the food had come out (mind you it was just burgers, fries, and gyros) we asked what was up. The rude and unapologetic original server said "we can put it in to go boxes for you, we only have one grill.' He never once apologized for the poor service or lack of accommodating our reservation that was made a week prior. We did have to shove our food in to go boxes well after 7 when we finally got it. Also, all the bottled beer wasn't cold so we decided to switch to draft thinking it would be colder. We were wrong. Warm beer, poor service, no apology, mediocre food, no menus, and crap tables.
