Both of them never figured out how to repair the roof, but they thought they'd fixed it. Then we got a strong rain and I had so much rain that there was actual water coming out of the damaged area of the ceiling. I had to put a bucket to catch the water as it dripped down. All I can say is that the roof wasn't repaired and I lost my $1,000 on customer no service.

Well, I had a roof done about 9 years ago by a company that does not exist any longer. But that company was bought by Bakersfield Roofing. That roof has a leak, so I contacted the original company, which forwarded me to this one. It was a crazy stormy weekend, which is pretty rare in Bakersfield. I left a message that stated something about how I was surprised they were not working because of the crazy weather (it was a Saturday). They never call me back. So I follow up with them, and this is really what the review is about. When I call them again on Tuesday, the owner actually answers the phone. He tells me that he thinks my comments about working on the weekends is rude and that he is entitled to a vacation. That is how it started. I explain how he bought my warranty, and he says he doesn't think that is how it works. I told him I am sure it is how it works because I have seen lawsuits about it. He keeps making very aggressive comments at me, and when I try to respond (in a nice way, trying to get on the right foot), he cuts me off and says he is not going to argue with me. He did this like 5 times... Makes and inflammatory comment, I begin to respond, and then he cuts me off and says he is not going to argue. Then he started asking me if I did something to the roof, and I said, just go look at it. He finally does, which takes way longer than I would have expected. He did some kind of patch or sealing according to the tenant and is supposed to call me back and explain what is going on. He never does. I call him a week later and he made some excuse about HVAC people needing to seal things anytime they are up there (never heard that one before). Blah blah blah, he kept making weird excuses and speculating on what happened. I just want it fixed so it does not cause damage to my property. Bottom line is that even if his work is good and he is knowledgeable I would never work with a person that is this difficult to communicate with. At this point I think he still thinks he does not owe me any warranty service, so let's hope nothing else happens. Adding this after his response: This is exactly the response I would have expected from Jerry. I don't have a problem ordering or paying for work. I have a problem with vendors that are rude, call me names, and like to start blaming everything else before they even get to the job. You can tell from his response that Jerry doesn't understand that my issue is that he is rude, difficult, and unprofessional.

Their crew of 4 craftsmen arrived 10 days later completed the entire job (single story home) in only 8 hours spread over 2 days. The crew was very respectful of my property and completely cleaned up the job site. The owner (Jerry) even payed a visit at the end of the job which i thought was a very professional and classy thing to do. We bought the home in 2019. We have the permits and information from when and who completed it..when I began to notice problems, I decided to look up this company on the internet and see if anyone else has these issues. No surprises, many of these reviews are having the same issues. My roof over the last year (so year 6 of the roof existing, which roofing should not have to be replaced for minimum 20 years. I have sections of shingles in small pieces that have been blowing off periodically for the last 2 years, but recently a huge portion has blown off. We also have a section of attic that is exposed because the vent cover and shingles in that area have blown off or were never installed, not sure which. I don't go up on my roof often enough to know. Shingles are supposed to be nailed down, but also they have a backing to them that over time heats up with the roof and adheres it even better to the area its been nailed to and the underlayment. Bakersfield is not somewhere that has hurricane or tornado winds. Its fairly mild. So the only explanation I have for my continuously problematic roof is poor installation and craftsmanship by this company, which is only more obvious by others having the EXACT SAME issues as me. Please, do not use this company. Save your future self some sanity and money and do not call them.

He did a thorough check and told me straight: the remaining roof needed to be coated and the sealing around all the AC units and vents had to be replaced. I had an estimate within two days -- very reasonable. When I asked about scheduling, he didn't sugarcoat it. He had another job lined up, weather was a factor, and it might be two weeks. I respected that. A week later he called -- a job had been rescheduled and he could start mine the next day. Two days after that, it was done. I went up on the roof and inspected the work myself.
