1994 Suburban k2500 6.5 TD starter bolt that torque sheared off
Rex K.

My starter bolts torque sheared off because the PO removed the rear support bracket. Tap and Bolt removal can do the hardest removals in the tightest of places. It's worth every penny.

really terrible work and company to work with. I took a few motorcycle parts here for a custom…read morebike that I'm building. I had to have them do several parts 4 times before it was even usable. They used duct tape to "plug" the fork openings in the motorcycle tripple clamp. It just made a huge sticky mess for me to clean up but the tape had covered sections that should be exposed. Now that I'm installing the parts i've had multiple locations where in just regular assembly (no hammers or force) the finish is flaking off. I can then just keep picking it with my fingernail. I also found that they had dropped my swingarm at somepoint before they powedercoated becuase the hole that my bearing needs to go in was clearly smashed in. Good luck to me getting a swingarm bearing back in a hole that isn't round anomore. There were also several times they told me my parts were ready and to come get them only for me to show up and the shop was closed with no one there. I did get a response when I texted but only to say they had left to go to another job, even when I had confirmed with them what time I would be there. Really bummed that I paid almost $400 for what ended up to be nothing but a hassle and a waste of time.

Poor communication and poor work quality…read more First off they have horrible communication. They hardly ever answer their phone, do not let you know when work is completed and don't communicate with each other what has been done and they don't meet the deadlines they set. I asked them to powder coat motorcycle levers and the work wasn't done right the first time, they forgot to sand down the ends as asked. The prep work was very poor. This was evident with all the uneven surfaces on the powder coat. Once they took them back to correct that, they again missed their deadline they set. They left the levers on the floor because one lever was scratched upon pick up. The employee seemed irritated this was brought up to them and he took the lever, sandblasted it and quickly put it in the oven for 10min where the powder coat didn't seem to cure. I would avoid this place as much as possible. They do not do quality work here.

Westside Welding is the only company that actually came onsite, measured, talked over the design and other options. His pricing was fair, clear, and definitely competitive with the other companies. Dillon was an absolute pleasure to work with. Top notch communication in terms of planning, scheduling, interruption of work, everything. He sent pictures of the work, he called to talk through options that appeared mid work. Billing was clear, on time and with no overages that I didn't specifically ask for. Dillon clearly takes a lot of pride in his work, and was as excited about my project as I was.

Dillon took an idea we had for our staircase from our descriptions and one internet photo, and made the exact thing we had in mind. They responded promptly when we contacted them and were professional throughout the transaction. They are personable and fun to work with. Their prices were very reasonable, especially after we saw the work that went into the railings. They went the extra mile to make certain we were happy. Dillon is an artist - he took the time and care to make certain the welds were almost invisible, had the metal powder coated, and visited several stores to get the perfect wood for the railing cap. I told him I wanted modern elegance and I am happy to say, imho, that's precisely what I got. We highly recommend Westside Welding Company for anything you might need.
