The classes always go for a full hour with no time wasted getting organized beforehand etc. The student/teacher ratio is appropriate and even with a big class they have enough instructors around so that my kid won't spend most of the class waiting for her turn. APSK is setup so that multiple skill levels can come to class on the same days at the same time. If you have siblings both enrolled they can take class together rather than having to wait through each other's class. APSK teaches the full package. They work life lessons into the program and try to demonstrate proper discipline, responsibility and respect along with defense techniques. My daughter isn't a discipline problem but I still really appreciate the extra help and lessons that have been part of her training. ASPK isn't just a karate class for my daughter. It's a community of role models and friends that she loves hanging out with. They have holiday and birthday parties, they offer after school and summer programs, they interact with parents, and they are the best options if your looking to get your kids (or yourself) into martial arts.

The program not only consisted of an entire month of classes but also a belt and the gee. The establishment was clean but very small. While the mat is the perfect size for the class, it does not have enough space for the parents to sit and the little space that is designated for the parents is far too close to the mat and the little kicks, punches, and loud yells. I loved the story time implemented into every class, and how active they are with the students and their families outside of class (they have weekly events that are fun, engaging, and creative!) **The only issues are as follows**: - The deposit when enrolling/signing up after the promo is $399.00. - The monthly fee is $199.00. - The classes are only 30 minutes each and I believe they can only go to two classes a week.. 1 hour of classes a week for $199.00 a month is not ideal. - Testing. The parents and the children were not made aware that they were testing for their "tip" until the day of. It would have been nice to have that information ahead of time so the child(ren) can be better prepared.

Learning self control is a bonus for an impulsive teen.

Sensei keeps switching the schedule weekly or monthly, therefore our family, having many other commitments can't make it to class, I've never heard of any academy that changes schedules so much, so often. It's worth getting because just a trip to Sunsplash is pretty much the same price as a Get Out Pass and you get so much out of it. I don't know if I'd go again because the cost is pretty high.

Having waves crash onto a white sandy beach is a pretty awesome experience, especially here in Arizona. There were plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas, and shaded areas, so it never felt like we were fighting for space. The diving pool was another pleasant surprise. There are multiple platforms to jump from, and the lifeguards allow enough freedom to have fun without making the experience feel overly restrictive. If you're feeling adventurous, they also offer body surfing and surf lessons. The amenities were solid as well. The bathrooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of changing rooms and stalls. Lockers are available to rent, which is a nice convenience if you're bringing the family. We also grabbed food while we were there. No, it isn't five-star dining, but that's not why you're here. More importantly, it was genuinely better than I expected for a water park. What impressed me most was the overall atmosphere. It was energetic without feeling chaotic. My family had an absolute blast, but somehow the park still managed to feel relaxing and comfortable--something I can't say about many water parks. We'll definitely be back.

The cabanas have a nice strong fan mister, keeps it nice and cool in the Arizona heat. The kids really loved the different levels of cliff jumping and boogie boarding in the wave pool. Every hour it's switches between boogie boarding and surfing. I would recommend bringing your own boogie board. You can rent them for $30-$35 but when we asked to rent, they were all being used. You can still be in the water while the surfers ride the waves but you have to be closer to the shallow end. I did notice that the pretend sand in the water is peeling off. It definitely needs some updating. Bring some beach toys if your kids want to play in the sand. In the afternoon the sand was too hot in the sun but once the sun set it was perfect to play in the sand. We all really enjoyed their drinks and food. The kids liked their sliders, tenders and fries. My husband and I shared their coco loco tacos. I didn't realize the loco sauce was a hot sauce, the tacos definitely have a kick. They were good but I would have maybe asked for the sauce on the side next time. They guac and chip were awesome-pomegranate , pineapple pico, and crispy carnitas. This location is about 45 min away for us but this would be a great place to cool off at after a baseball tournament at cactus yards! Looking forward to next time.

I watched my nephew, Gauge, test for his brown belt a couple of months ago. I was impressed with the connection between the students and their instructor, Mr Ferguson. The class consisted of all ages and levels of skill. Mr Ferguson's passion for this art is passed on to his students and it clearly shows. I know that Gauge has learned not only several physical techniques but mental discipline as well. I am looking forward to watching him advance to his black belt soon! This is his third week and I'm absolutely in love with all the instructors. They are kind, caring, and consistent. Whenever my son goes to shut down and doesn't want to participate they are patient and they work with him to get him involved. When he puts up his walls, it is also really difficult on me. I feel sometimes I don't know what to do or how to help get him involved. I get flustered and frustrated. Today I have a two instructors made me feel extremely comfortable when my son was shutting down. I have also had parents come up and tell me it's okay, their child did it too. I have actually thought multiple times of just walking out because I'm so embarrassed, but because of the support, and kindness they show me, I feel like I can get through it. If I could give them 10 stars I would! I high recommend this place to anyone wanting to introduce their child to Taekwondo. Thank you again to all the instructors! I am not an expert at Tae Kwon Do but I am a master parent. My son was 4 1/2 when he started and had a horrible temper and enjoyed hitting his sister. My son has been coming here close to six months now and he doesn't hit his sister and is a much better student at school. What more could I say? If I read my testimony I would ask, "Where do I sign?" The walls and counters are filled with trophies and childrens report cards, letter from teachers etc. i am not sure how the adult classes are but most of the adult students are incredibly active here in the childrens classes. They also appear to be capable to kicking my butt. Children arrive early to class with smiles on their faces and leave late to play with the other children. The parents have been so welcoming of me and are incredibly friendly to talk to. The classes have set times but the instructors do not end class until they are confident the kids got what they came to learn. I like that. Overall, this is the spot if you are interested in getting your kids in martial arts. In a way, I owe them my sanity. I was unable to control my sons negative attitude. Having him come 2-3 times a week for class has taught him so much more than I could. Kudos to NB! We will be lifetime members.
