I trained privately with Travis for a matter of some months multiple times a week and everyone there was always friendly and nice and I'm a pretty quiet no-small talk kinda guy. I also interacted with Thiago a handful of times and he was always open and engaging every single time. This is without a doubt, the PREMIER location in Arizona if you want to learn the art of eight limbs whether it's through private or public instruction. The only reason I stopped going was due to some health complications I got that prohibited me from continuing training because I loved every damn minute of it.

I had very specific needs of a trainer for my son (14 yr. old) to continue his years of training in boxing / martial arts. He met them all! Joseph was very attentive in reaching out and responding to me. At the 1st session I knew right away Joseph was committed and a master at what he does. My son instantly clicked with him and he himself said he wanted to give it a go @ Kajukenbo, this was a new form of training for him. His background was mainly boxing with some experience in Jiu-jitsu. Joseph teaches discipline, assertiveness and helps students gain confidence. Sifu Joseph dedicates so much of his time to his students and helps us out when he can (travel issues, gear/supplies, gently-used uniforms) either personally or by brainstorming with the other parents to resolve the issue. A major benefit of this dojo is that there are several different sensei's all with their own unique styles so in the end you're left with a wonderful balance.
