Their beds are new, clean, and serviced constantly. I've been a client here for 6 months and I have never seen a bulb out in one of the beds. The girls are prompt and efficient at the front plus super friendly. I never feel like they are pushy on trying to sell me something either. I've visited both south Elgin and Elgin locations. They have quite a few beds, they have the spray tans too (in the actual spray stand up unit), they have a ton of products to chose from also. Check them out!

I never post about anything like this, but this one really got to me. I had received a gift certificate for my 50th birthday to get a massage at this spa. It was a $100 gift certificate. I went online and made an appointment for a hot stone massage. On Wednesday evening our four-year-old dog tragically lost use of her hind legs. We rushed her to the Animal Hospital in Aurora. Seven hours later we unfortunately had to put her down. We did not get home until 3:30am yesterday. My appointment for the massage was 10:30 AM yesterday. I had every intention of making this appointment. I had no idea that this would happen to my dog. I called them and asked if they would allow me to reschedule. I did explain what happened. The owner had the nerve to tell me she has a policy on her 24 hour cancellation because she's a single mom and has to take care of her family, etc.. I totally understand that. I used to be a business owner myself. She absolutely refused to allow me to cancel and reschedule. People have things happen in life. A business can change their policy for extreme circumstances. Having a little compassion and humanity goes a long way. I was furious and told her to charge the gift card and that she could keep the extra five dollars. I am on day two of grieving Over my animal passing away. My dog who passed had a sister dog and they were inseparable. In her short four years, they've never been separated. Not only am I grieving but my other dog is grieving as well. Had I been clairvoyant and knew my dog was going to collapse and die I would've called and canceled the appointment. I was so caught up her dire situation that it never occurred to me to call. Plus, the situation happened about 18 hours before my appointment.... I would've kept this appt had I gotten some sleep the night before and wasn't grieving so hard. She actually charged the gift card that I was given $95 and refused to let me reschedule unless I wanted to pay again. In my mind it just seemed cruel and really about her getting her money. She never even acknowledged the passing of my dog or said sorry. Doesn't matter but it was just very frustrating. Thanks for listening!

It's an old house that was refurbished to accommodate their hair services, and that brings some charm to the experience. Call ahead to schedule your appointment to make sure the barber is available. It seems like every bed has no capable fan or cooling system, which needless to say can be a deal breaker when tanning. When I stopped in today, not only did the bed I was assigned to barely have a breeze let alone a fan, the towel was threadbare, and the help less than enthusiastic that she was there let alone that I was a customer stopping in for a service. This was Brad's flagship store, and it has certainly been on a consistent decline in recent years, which is sad. Conversely, the stores in both Bartlett and South Elgin are amazing- the beds are always clean and well ventilated (of course there are some that are better than others, but by FAR AND AWAY the VAST MAJORITY are superior to what you will find at the Elgin location), the staff at least capable of pretending that they are happy that you are there and supporting their business, and the facilities are modern and well kept. Living in Elgin, I find myself going out of my way to the South Elgin location, and there is just something wrong with that picture- especially for a business that has been Elgin for 20+ years.

Radiant asked me for my insurance today, which I usually don't carry with me. They said they were having some issues with fraud. I asked why they didn't advise me before to bring it to the appointment. They keep sending these messages about confirming my appointment! They said, "Because of the long Thanksgiving weekend we could not advise you!!!". I offered to send it as soon as I arrived back home but they said I would have to pay the full consultation. "Their system" didn't allow them to put the number afterward. I think with so many years of loyalty to them they had some consideration. But, no!!! Crazy way to lose two customers at once (me and my wife!)!!
