I had the cheesesteak while my friends had the wings and everyone's food came out quickly and everyone enjoyed their meal. Another highlight is how well priced Clay's is and can really compete on price with lesser quality fast food places as my cheesesteak with fries was just $11. I think Clay's should definitely be considered as a great place to catch a game with some friends!

4.5 Having had more…read morethan my fair share of dusty food and forced conversation, I texted my friend to beg him to rescue me from my work function and to find a place where we could get a drink. 'I'll do you one better,' he said. 'Say less,' I thought. Being that my buddy knows his way around food, drink and Atlanta (ITP and OTP), I knew I was in good hands. Turns out, we didn't have far to travel. As I was discovering, when in the Atlanta metro, it behooves you to eat as many wings as humanly possible. I'd already had my yearly physical so I was all in. Turns out that Clay's was a well-know, well-trod wings destination so I was psyched for the eating ahead of me. We set up shop on the patio and had a wonderfully delightful server wait on us. I didn't know what I was doing but my buddy did. I let him order and sat back and waited for the bounty. We caught up, laughed and did all the things and the food just kept coming. I knew I was in the right place. We got a basket of fries but made those bad boys Cajun. Do this. I used to live in New Orleans. The Cajun name is warranted. Fries should always be seasoned and/or have stuff on them. Always. Wanting to drink local, I helped myself to a Ginger Treehorn Cider. Served in a can, it had depth, generous bite and enough of a kick to know that the ginger was real and not just marketing. But the star of the show was the wings. A mix of drums and flats, these were not your grocery store chicken wings. These were meaty, larger than the average wing and as good as advertised. We ordered 20 for the two of us. Because he knows me, we maximized our sauces to get the best experience. We went to town on garlic parm, honey bbq, lemon pepper, and hot teriyaki. We.Tore.Them.Up! I had sauce on my fingers, face, hair, shirt, and other places and I.Did.Not.Care! Oh man. I don't usually indulge in wings because I'm afraid to be let down (I've been hurt too many times before). Not here. The night started mid (previous offsite) but ended in a food coma. How he drove me home, I do not know. Very happy to have experienced Clay's.

I had an idea of what this place, but wasn't exactly sure what it all entailed. We walked in and were greeted by a large shelf or should I say shelves of a bunch of different board and card games. We walked to the register and told them we wanted to play some board/card games. I believe it was $7 per hour and then $35 for everything else. Everything else means all the video/electronic games. Think PS5, Switch, PC, Xbox. It was sooooo cool seeing everyone play all the different games. There were bigger groups, couples, people by themselves. It's truly a place where anyone can go and have a good time! We got some drinks (they have a really cool cocktail menu). They do have a food menu too, but we just came from dinner, so we only got drinks. Our service wasn't the best though. It took forever for someone to come and check on us, and no one came to fill our water the entire time we were there. Service could definitely be a lot better! Battle & Brew is in a shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. It's also pretty big too, so there is plenty of seating inside. I would definitely come back here in the future and play some of the video games, as I love to play some Nintendo Switch!

3.5 Despite having…read morenerdy tendencies, this wasn't the place for me. I'm thinking that I experienced it in its weaker era. I came here on a work trip so there was a LOT going on: food buffets, bar mania, games of all sorts. Had I come here with a group of friends to play games and sip on a drink I think I would have had a different (read: better) experience. That said, I appreciate that B&B exists and what it's trying to do. Despite being here as part of a big group, the staff was perfectly lovely and patient. That's not always the case when it comes to dealing with large groups. The food menu is confusingly large and caters to about every taste.* I got a little grossed out at the thought of eating around so much dust. Board games and consoles are dirty/dusty. They show both easily. Eating around/in that didn't appeal to me. What *did* appeal to me, though, was the thought of drinking a potion. From the glass (straight up D&D) to the color (blue), I was all in. The Mana Potion had a lot of the right elements (gin, blue curacao, elderflower liqueur, lemon, and Sprite) but the extra zhuzh for our party was team too much. The edible glitter made the drink a bit thick and didn't do wonders for my stomach. It's a tough criticism because I was here for an extra sparkly drink/potion. Definitely on brand. For me, Battle & Brew is an odd space that could benefit from some editing. But, it looks like I am in the minority. I can agree with not being the target audience. So, gamers, have at it! *I didn't experience much in the way of GF/DF/VG options but, again, target audience.

One thing I love is the decor. It's got that 1920s bar area feel, which is probably due to the amount of older people come in. HUGE bar and lots of tables/tvs. Over the years, I've been to Hawks Parties, Alumni Parties and other events here. Certainly a great venue if event space is needed. There is always a good selection of beers on tap. For this visit, I grabbed a burger and house salad, with a beer. Bartender was quick and let me try a few samples of what's on tap. Sadly, can't recall what I settled on with the beer. The burger was stacked high and had some decent heat to it. The salad was as I expected. I've never had an issue with the food here. The only issue I had was from 7-8 years ago when my card got double charged. Great spot to meet with friends, on a date night or take the kids. Hidden gem in Sandy Springs!

The atmosphere is great for going to watch a big game. Even been here to watch a presidential debate. The space is cool -- it's big enough to be like 4 restaurants in 1. There are pool tables and a couple of video games in the back (all for coins -- not free). The food is the quality I expect from a sports bar (you know what you're getting so keep expectations as such, lol). The last time I went a couple of weeks ago tho (mainly to watch a game) I ordered tater tots and they were sitting in a literal pool of oil (see corresponding video and photos). The waitress removed it from our bill bc once I saw and poured out the oil, I couldn't eat them.

The vibe is cozy but still upscale -- like a mountain lodge right in the middle of the city. Perfect if you're coming from shopping around Perimeter or just want a laid-back spot with really good food. Everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful, but what really stood out was how welcoming the atmosphere is. It's one of those rare places where you can bring friends, kids, or even go for a casual date and it still feels like a great experience. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better. You can tell the staff actually cares about making sure guests enjoy themselves because I have two 1yr olds with me and still got to enjoy adult life. If you're in the Perimeter area Eli the waiter and Colby hooked a mom up and looking for a place that has great food, good energy, and a menu with tons of options, this spot is definitely worth trying. They really accommodated us by putting two tables together in a different area of the restaurant and not as close to the front door because it was freezing outside. We really enjoyed our time there. The house bread was a hit! There was only one hiccup, though my food never came out, which I had ordered the Mediterranean chicken bowl and then when it came out, it really wasn't nothing there. I asked for my tomato cucumber salad to be on the side. It never showed up the chicken on there is maybe about four pieces very small nothing to really work with so I just enjoyed some dessert and called it a night. I'm glad that the manager did not charge me for the bowl because it really was not worth it. I'll give them another try but I really had high hopes. I'm glad the guests with me enjoyed their meal and of course brussels sprouts is always a plus thanks lazy dog. See you again Lazy Dog!
