This is a great dinner spot on the outskirts of Montreux. I was able to walk here from my hotel on the edge of the city center in about 15 minutes. The proprietor is a very nice gentleman who greeted me when I walked in. The storefront was attractive and suggested a cozy and inviting environment. The interior lived up to this expectation and afforded a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. The place was laid out in an interesting fashion with separated dining rooms and a bar at the forefront. The capacity was limited and I can imagine reservations might be recommended on weekends.
My server attended to me quickly once I was seated and provided excellent service during my stay. The menu was flush with beef options, as one would expect at a South American restaurant, but I actually selected one of their minority non-beef choices. I had the Pampa Chicken, a dish that still took advantage of the grilling expertise of this establishment. Two chicken breasts were included and they were accompanied by a skewer of vegetables and a baked potato. I enjoyed my meal very much.
With drinks, my final tab was 48 CHF. Given that this was Switzerland where everything is expensive, this was not a bad price. As such, I was not unhappy with the value. I will certainly consider visiting this place again when I am next in Montreux. read more
