It's sooooooo cozy and cute in here - I don't actually ever want to leave. You're secluded but also close to town for anything you need. ALL supplies you need are all here which is awesome. The owner called us to see how we were doing and to make sure we are enjoying our stay. I could go on and on but for real, and for a reasonable price, come stay here and experience the awesome yourself

I was worried it might be too small, but it was just right! I stayed in the loft bedroom's king sized bed and my friend stayed on the queen sized sleeper sofa downstairs. We had perfect timing and got to see the leaves changing color and enjoy the cool weather (being from South Florida these are both unusual!) We cooked some of our meals at the cabin in the well-stocked kitchen. There is a full fridge, stove/oven and a full set of dishes, glasses, cooking utensils and silverware. It got cold enough that we made hot apple cider and lit the wood burning fireplace. It was also nice to have the hot tub to soak in after a day out on the town in the cold. The nearby town of Helen is an adorable Bavarian Alpine Village with great little shops and restaurants. We also drove to nearby Dahlonega to check out the shops and artists there. We were able to go horseback riding at the Sunburst Stables in Clarkesville and we also took a trip to the North Georgia Zoo in Cleveland - I highly recommend both! I can't wait to come back in the summer to enjoy some more outdoor activities like tubing on the Chattahoochee River or boating on Unicoi Lake at Unicoi State Park.

Though they are relatively rustic, the cabins come equipped with comfortable bedding, televisions, dishes, a grill & fire pit, and of course, a wonderful hot tub; just be sure to read the website and take note of what is and is not provided before your stay. I have never had an issue with the hot tub or any appliance not working. The cabins are always clean upon arrival. For our most recent visit, the owner was kind enough to leave us a bottle of champagne and a "Happy Anniversary" card. I like the fact that the cabins are several minutes outside of Helen. However, be advised that the main road going into the town gets VERY backed up during peak season; therefore, if you are traveling during that time and expect to go to downtown Helen every day, leave early! The road gets backed up around lunchtime and stays that way until after dinner. There is a back way around the state park that will get you around Helen and to the town of Cleveland, which has some interesting shops, restaurants, and an Ingles with a Starbucks inside. The only thing we would like to see added to the cabin's amenities would be a Keurig (or similar coffee maker) with coffee selections, and extra grilling supplies (charcoal, lighter, etc.). These are very minor suggestions, though, and we plan to return to Chimney Shadows for many years to come!

I loved the windows looking out across the mountain. Not sure we have ever had such a beautiful view anywhere else. We enjoyed getting up in the morning and sitting in the hot tub to watch the sunrise over the mountain. It was so nice to have the hot tub right off the bedroom. The cabin had every thing we needed...charm, coziness, cookware, coffee maker, beautiful view, hot tub, jacuzzi. We could tell that a lot of thought was put into this place. We would definitely go back! We were a a short drive away from Clarkesville which had nice food, and of course we loved visiting the Old Sautee store, and coffee place across the road. For us, this was a great place to wind down, reconnect, and enjoy the quiet. We had no planned agenda except to escape the tyranny of the urgent and to enjoy our marriage. Thank you Laura for making this possible for us.

We stayed at Twin Falls Cabin for our 15 year anniversary…read more The cabin itself is very charming and in a great area. This was our second year staying at a Pinnacle cabin and there were issues. One is that several lights were burnt out in the overhead chandeliers and it was hard to see in the cabin. In addition, one bedside lamp did not work. We decided to live with it since we only had two full days to enjoy the mountains. The biggest issue was the smell. The bedroom on the right side of the bed had an odor. It was like a rat had died in the house. We noticed a smell when we first got there but thought the cabin was just musty so we opened the doors and aired it out. The next day we left early and came back late. That is when we really noticed the odor. It was an oddity that will probably not impact others as the smell would eventually go away, but it impacted us. We could have called the office the next day to come check but that would have wasted our whole day and if they did not find the smell we would have had to sleep there another night or get a hotel since it was 10 hours home. We just decided to leave the next morning, a day early. We asked Pinnacle for the cost of our last night back but they said they went and could not find the smell. We could have only gotten the refund if we called them out while we were there. It is our fault for not having them come before we left, as they could not have disputed the smell. I know there was a bad odor. We just did not want to risk it-My husband was up at 5am wanting to leave because of it so we just left as we had a 10 hour drive home. Again- the cabin itself was cute. It just needs more quality control before people check in. They charge over $240 in cleaning and service fees and for that it should be immaculate. Not dust on the rafter beams, lights burnt out and the smell of whatever was in the walls.

The cabin we stayed at was nice enough, but I'm very much opposed to the way BRC upcharged me for stuff that should be my choice. I call it false advertising or 'bait & switch' when paying these fees becomes mandatory. EX: A cabin that normally rents for $159/night with a 2-night minimum has a mandatory $45 cleaning fee, a $39 insurance fee and 15% sales tax on top of the total. The last time I checked, sales tax in most GA counties was in the range of 6% and last weekend was supposed to be tax-free, right? Not when it came to my invoice. Excuse my math, but check it out: $159 x 2 = $318. $318+$45+$39 = $402. $402 x 1.15 = $462.30, which is actually $231.15/night. Own it, BRC...your cabins are more expensive than you claim.

My husband and I made reservation to Spend Christmas (12-24-13) to (12-26-13), we stayed in # 245 cabin and we were not happy with the place, we had to leave the cabin morning Christmas day. Here is the list of the things that didn't allow us to enjoy our staying at the cabin and basically ruined our Christmas vacation: 1. The heater does not make the room warm at all, we were frizzing all night so unable to sleep. (we were considering leaving the place around 3:00 am) 2. All around the place was dirty: windows and blinds, hair on the pillows and blankets, jacuzzi, spider webs. 3. The bathroom seat is old and need to be replaced. 4. The place does not have a pleasant smell when entering the cabin. 5. Everything looks super old and many things were broken or malfunctioning. We spoke with them trying to get at least half of our money back, but they said no, this people are so unprofessional.
