Avoid this place at all costs. My team and I had to stage a video shoot, and the brief was simple: stage a basic living room as the backdrop. When we first approached Tangerine, they were quite friendly over the phone. But when we expressed interest in visiting, their appointment schedule was really wonky and immediately gave off the impression that no one was actually there very often. But we ignored that huge red flag. Almost a week later, we finally got to visit and committed to some pieces. Everything seemed set. Then, three days before the shoot, they became completely silent. Nothing. Zilch. As if the whole company had disappeared. Meanwhile, we had movers lined up and a production schedule to keep. We called, emailed, and even showed up at the door. No one picked up. No one was at the business. In the end, IKEA saved the day and frankly gave us way better service than this place. In my 20 years of working, I have never experienced a place this nonchalant towards working. We gave them the benefit of the doubt until the very end. But when it was less than 12 hours before the shoot, we finally sent them one last email saying we had no choice but to cancel. And guess what? They responded. No apology. No explanation. I've tried two times to work with these stagers, and in both instances they've been inflexible, non responsive, and unapologetically overpriced. I believe they've bought nice furniture, but my experiences after trying multiple times are that they overvalue the ability to select classic, neutral furnishings. As an industry professional, I'm keenly aware of the work that goes into staging. The current staging project will take less than 1 day of work, most of the heavy lifting being done by the movers, and they refuse to judge from $7,800 for 1700 sqft just to even get us on calendar (which they continuously point out is full and filling up more everyday). Would I try again? I don't think so. This relationship is meant to be a long term partnership, and the business owners repeatedly give greedy and not client oriented. read more

As I was going through the house with her I kept noticing beautiful touches from the colors that were chosen to accent the home to the pillow cases and wall art. Waste of Money and Bad Business Pauline Pearsall Staging Wow, I did not know that a business that provides little value and is operated by an unprofessional and rude person could survive in this economy. Here is a list of problems working with this shady operation: * Missed every deadline. What was supposed to take 1/2 a day took 1 1/2 days. My one word summary of this service is INCONVENIENT. They inconvenienced us by always being late, doing the wrong thing, and then being rude and trying to blame us for asking questions. Even the employees readily admit what an unprofessional operation it is. Staging our house was a mess. Took them 1 1/2 days when they promised 1/2 a day. Even removing the furniture and countless pillows from our house was botched. Missed the appointment entirely. Didn't care we had made arrangements to be there and have our small children out of the house. Already had our $ so Pauline was ruder than normal, and that's rude. * Unplugged our tv and computer without asking us and then they could not hook it up again properly for 10 days. INCONVENIENT. * Bad design. They stuffed more furniture and pillows into our living room than could fit. They made the room look 10x worse than it ever looked. BEWARE. Bad company. Bad Service. I can't say enough about the great job Lindy and her stagers did in transforming my house. In the fall, I'd had the house on the market without staging, empty of furniture. Although I lowered the price to rock bottom, and few houses were on the market in my desirable neighborhood, most potential buyers did not get very far into the house before turning around, disinterested. I did some significant repairs to the house, and hired Lindy after meeting with her, and getting the feeling right away that she was a good fit. I really appreciated that she didn't push me to make changes to my house that she felt were unnecessary- her advice was very economical, which made me trust her. After Lindy's team staged my house, it looked like a different home, and was clearly what the buyers wanted/needed to see. Some agents and buyers actually viewed my home after already viewing it several months before, and they didn't realize it was the same house- thought it was a different house on the same block! For the reasonable investment I made in Lindy's services (significantly less than the other stager I interviewed), I was richly rewarded. My house sold in a week for 123% of asking with eleven offers. Yes, we're in a great market, and yes, I made some major repairs, but before I staged my house, nobody even wanted to make an offer.
