This is by far the clearest shopping mall that I have gone to in Grand Rapids. I love the recurring offers by the Adidas and H&M's stores here. The open flexibility of the mall could possibly leave you as a visitor of all stores which is pretty cool since you don't have to make turns in hallways just like like the majority of malls in the Grand Rapids area. read more

I remember visiting Tanger Outlets in Howell before there was one in Grand Rapids. Now there's one here, it minuses the driving time from 3 hours to 30 minutes tops. Reason for the missing one star is because there's not much places to eat, other than a hotdogs stand, a bar and grill nearby, Subway, and Auntie Annes. Starbucks will be opening soon just at the entrance of the mall off 84th street. The only thing I would like to see is more parking lots during the holidays, since there seemed to not be enough for shoppers. read more

This review is for the Merrill shoe store in Tanger outlet. My wife and I went to the store for shoes for my wife. We were each greeted immediately when we entered the store. I had no intention of getting new shoes for myself. We were helped by a very pleasant young lady named "Erin". She was able to answer every question with certainty. She knew her products and availability. We were never told no. If she didn't have what we asked for, she gave us a wonderful alternative. The service and attention we received from Erin, was unequaled by ANY other place we have shopped. Not just at Tanger Outlets, but ANYWHERE. We left with 2 pair of shoes. One for my wife and one for myself. We each purchased socks also. I would recommend shopping at Merrill to anyone. read more

Could not be happier that this mall opened where it did. 40 mins from home makes it far enough away to not go there too often, but close enough for a big shopping trip a few times per year. It opened in summer 2015 so obviously it's in great condition - nice layout to the mall, parking lot in great shape, plenty of parking, pretty landscaping throughout, and of course the assortment of stores makes this a perfect destination for some retail therapy. :) I usually visit only about 5 of my fave stores and am still there for at least 2 hours - if you plan to shop the entire mall, give yourself all day - there is a lot to look at! One complaint from the start- there was extremely limited options for food ... but there are some food places starting to pop in. read more

This mall was not what I expected. I had not heard great things from other people, so I wasn't expecting to get much of my Christmas shopping done. I love the layout of the mall. It is compact enough with a great selection of stores. We found a lot of great deals and the staff in all the stores were very friendly! The coupon book was great and the extra 20% off coupons were the icing on the cake! Great start to this mall, but I think it could use some variety. My only complaint is that there was Christmas music playing before Thanksgiving. But that is the way it is everywhere. I like to have 1 holiday at a time. read more

Good selection of stores. Limited selection of clothes and sale items. Thought they would be discounted more. Some prices were higher than when I looked online to compare. Polo fragrance and colognes were cheaper online at other stores. That was very disappointing. But overall it's a great experience read more

When the weather is nice I absolutely love being able to be outside while shopping around. Some pricey stores but also a nice mix of average pricing. It's really cool that the music plays outside the entire time. There's a book store (world books) & their children section is awesome! Did I mention their prices are basically HALF off normal retail prices... read more

Great layout, fabulous deals, love, love, love the stores! Had a blast with girlfriends covering all the territory on foot without having to get into the car to drive to other stores. Shopping Services was very helpful and gave us great coupons and opportunity to purchase a $20 gift card for $10. Yeah!! Please, please, please get some indoor food vendors. Subway and Auntie Anne's just doesn't cover it. There's no seating to eat except outside and it was cold when I was there. We left with a car full of goodies for ourselves and Christmas gifts for family. What a fun day!! read more

Nice to have an outlet mall near Grand Rapids. I hope to see more stores added soon.

I went to Tanger outlets today to do some Christmas shopping, and I had a great experience. The two downsides I had to Tanger outlets is the lack of food, and the prices for an outlet store. There are only a few places you can get food and even less where you can get a meal. A big problem for me is that it is an outlet store in name, but in some of the stores everything is still at retail or just a few dollars off price! To be honest, there were a lot of stores though that did have some pretty good deals going on. But other than that this is a great place to do some shopping! The layout of the stores s great, and there is lots of parking! read more

I love the stores and the shopping experience at Tanger. I always find good deals and I have had excellent service in almost every store. I have joined the Tanger rewards club and love it that there is a lounge where I can get a cup of coffee and rest if I like. read more

The outlet was laid out well. I like the way the stores are grouped together instead of all scattered. It had a lot of seating areas and cool outdoor fireplace. The only downside is there weren't a lot of choices for food. I know they're still continuing with the constructions so I'm sure there will be more restaurants in the future. read more

Most of the stores have good collection and great discounts. It's close to GR so why would one not come here to shop compared to any regular mall where you have to pay full price. They have a store for Merrell which I don't find in many places with great discounts. Even Asics had some really good deals which forced me to buy even when I had no plans to do so. read more

We don't really have a lot of competition in this area in terms of outlet malls so no logical comparisons. As is, Tanger in Byron Center is compact, clean, still looks new. The store offerings are fairly diverse, though men wanting a place to shop that doesn't involve clothes or shoes may be disappointed. Also still missing is a sit down eating establishment. The open air design is lovely except when it's rainy or frigid. Nice addition to the area. read more

Stopped by on my way to GRR to catch my flight to kill time (and my wallet). It is not as nice as the outlets in California but they have good selections. Banana Republic was the first place I went to - 70% off (yay!). Staff was very friendly and attentive. The Limited has great selections but I had to call someone to ring me up (chit chatting at the back of the store). Under Armour was on sale and got some good deals for the family. I had to stuff everything inside my bag but worth the trip! read more

Great outlet mall- attractive, well designed with great stores and some covered walkways. Visit the customer service center to pick up a coupon book (free for many such as AARP and AAA members). It is lacking in shoe stores and places to grab a bite to eat though. Expect long lines for food at Auntie Anne's or Subway if you're visiting on a typical "shopping day." The parking lots are also kind of confusing so be alert while driving around to find a spot as some lanes suddenly disappear. read more

Pleased with the selection. Some stores have great deals, but others are more expensive than regular retail stores. Baffled that there is no warm place to hang out waiting for others and very limited eating options. This is a challenge during the winter months. read more

Nice and clean with a wide variety of stores. Helpful clerks and lots of free parking make this a good place to shop.

A lot of stores but the outlet part leaves a little to be desired. Not any different pricing then the regular stores. Not very family friendly either as there is no place for the kids to play. read more

I love that they have lots of restrooms especially since the family ones for my little one. I do think their should be more restaurants or places to eat. read more

The facility was really nice. There were plenty of storage to walk around and see. Some of the stores were kind of pricey while others had some really good deals. My favorite store was the Vera Bradley outlet. It's a great place to walk around and find a few good deals. read more

Great place with friendly faces. Not a lot of parking. Stores not giving Tanger points is a hassle for customers. I am overall very satisfied with my experiences here. Will return. read more

Clean and fresh for the area, shops are nice with a wide variety. Prices right now seem very good but I'm sure will rise after the newness of everything dies down. When I was there, none of the soda machines had soda in them to buy, which means a lot of people bought soda or they don't keep track of how much is in them, I'm betting on a lot of people as there were a bunch that day. Bought some ice cream which was nice as it was hot out, they have plenty of places to sit. Overall a nice place to check out. read more

The setup of this mall is very user friendly. Store offer new, full price, and discounted merchandise. The Tanger club is where i deduct stars as each store is not linked with the club so in order to keep track of you spending points you have to go back to the welcome center or manually scan each reciept. Over all not terrible but each store asks for your email anyways, why not have the systems linked? Two of the stores I shopped at didnt or pretended to not know what i was even talking about? read more

We fell in LOVE at first sight. So beautiful! Fresh, modern and clean. When we go camping at our favorite campsite, we now have a fun great outlet to visit. Resort camping with resort shopping read more

I typically like the outlets but had an issue with the baby gap store. My wife and mother went to the bay gap and were told they could use their card bc the numbers were not raised. The clerk and the manager said they weren't they only ones and said jamboree does the same thing, ironically that's the store we had just come from and had no problems. Even our discover cards just switched to non-raised numbers. I've never heard this ever. They acted like it was our problem and that we were trying to con them. Just a horrible experience a store and made no sense. Manager stood right behind the clerk and did nothing. read more

Lots of deals in store and most participated with the Tanger coupon book so we got an additional 20% off most purchases. Seems to appeal to my college and high school students best. I didn't find much for me. Easy layout, not a huge amount of walking compared to many malls ! read more

Didn't meet expectations. Prices not great, sub par service especially at Nike. Too few dining choices. We will not go back. read more

Tanger is some D1 ish like this outlet is so nice but I jus gave auntie Anne's my money and this sassy kid working the counter was so rude wouldn't even let me use my rewards... smh I'm going in spending 20 dollars and you going to disrespect my group. I mean he seemed to be the manager because that makes sense cause he probably got that job working for his daddy read more

The outlet mall is nice, well laid-out, and has good stores. I especially enjoyed H&M and Vera Bradley as they had great deals. Easy to walk through the mall - not long and drawn out. You can park and do the whole thing from one spot. Also, not too bad a trip from Lansing. read more

Went to the main entrance to pic up my coupons as I am a tanger member and stood in a line behind one person in the EXPRESS line for members and a man that was at the computer told us we had to get in the REGULAR line (behind 6 people). Shortly after 10:00 a woman walked in to man the computer at the EXPRESS lane. When I asked if we could move to her line without looking up she told me it would be a while before she was ready, so I stayed where I was. Had to wait while the people ahead of me got signed up to be members before the lady manning THAT computer finally got to me to give me my coupon booklet. I thougt they should be ready BEFORE 10:00, so they're ready to help people at the time they say they are open!! Christopher and Banks store had things I hadn't found in their regular stores, but not reduced prices. I agree with others that said its a beautiful mall, but not cheap!! read more

This was the first time my husband and I went to the new Tanger outlet. I was only interested in going to thd Vera Bradley store for this visit. My experience at the Vera Bradley store was great!!! The staff was so friendly and took the time to answer the questions I had. We decided to check out a few more stores, and found them to be just as friendly. We will definitely be back.....maybe when it's warmer outside!!! read more

not crazy about the parking arrangements. Even though some of the stores have back door pick-up, it makes for an uncomfortable experience. If it is cold, raining or windy; not the best shopping experience. read more

I absolutely love this place. Plenty of stores of different varieties and great deals as well. The only reason I docked one star is because if you're like us and have kids, don't even let them know there are two toy stores there (Toys R Us and another place). The toy stores prices are outrageous and almost double what you see at Walmart or on Amazon. Everything else though, I love it. Not a lot of food places but I do know they have an Auntie Anne's and a Subway, not sure what else but, if you're there to shop and not eat you won't mind. read more

Great variety of stores-love the electronic map system they have to find stores. Stop in to shopper services for a coupon book.

Beautiful place!! So many stores to choose from you could basically stay there all day. The layout is a little confusing, but if you have a map you should be good to go. The only complaint I have is the lack of restaurants/food options. There were only 4 food places - Subway (which was PACKED), Auntie Annie's pretzels, a Ben and Jerry's stand and a little donut stand. So honestly there's only 1 legit restaurant. But besides that all the stores were well kept and there is plenty of parking. Great place!! Highly recommend! read more

Conveniently located off of US 131. Clean and nicely landscaped, many name brand stores to choose from. Lots of parking spots available as well. I would only suggest a food court and more public restroom -- those are very scarce. read more

Worst service I have ever had! I visited your Lucky Brand store today with my wife and was sorely disappointed with the service. An employee named Dakota acted very unenthusiastic about my wife trying on some new jeans, which was fine, until she made a snide comment about my wife's weight. (My wife recently gave birth to our first child.) This is the rudest and most despicable staff I have ever encountered in a store and we will not be back! read more

I found that the outlet mall in Michigan City has way more better deals and better stores, I didn't find any great deals here at all. Its clean and nice but I bought a tanger membership card and half the stores I went into didn't honor it or even know what it was. There's only two places to eat, thank god for the lady selling hot dogs. I was really disappointed in the Bath and Body stores no good deals at all and in Michigan City they have bins overflowing with over half off stuff. It was disappointed to say the least. Also a lot of stores advertised like they were open and we get there only to find out they aren't open yet......... read more

You need to make sure they say factory store or outlet. A lot of the stores are just general stores
