First, I had a tire plug that failed and they fixed it properly for a great price Today they helped me again. I ordered some tires online and they came "balanced" but they weren't. I called Kennilworth Auto Tires and they fixed that right up. I tipped them with a case of Red Bull. They are fast, friendly, and good No one is touching my tires but then from now on.

They were efficient and were honest with their prices (comparably to everywhere else). They replaced the tire within 2 hours! Appreciated their friendly demeanor. As an Asian woman who doesn't know much about cars, I'm always scared of getting ripped off (had a few bad experiences at Toyota dealerships where ppl tried to charge me $1000 for oil change...) but the staff at D and D tire are so nice. They didn't charge me for disposing my ripped tire and even helped my friend (who drove me in to pick up my car) fill up her air for free.

My transmission had gone out, unfortunately, but they got be back up and running quickly. Shortly after, when my gear shift was giving me problems, I went back. They offered to pay for the labor since there was uncertainty about it being related to the transmission. I thought that was very notable (and very appreciated). Ever since Auto Tech gave me some free services at their old Adams Morgan location in the early…read more2010s, I've held them in high regard. So when my local mechanic couldn't fix an issue that cropped up with my car in September, I went out of my way to bring my car from NW to Auto Tech's Trinidad shop. My car had a P1454 check engine light (fuel tank pressure sensor/EVAP system issue). Auto Tech did a diagnostic and recommended replacing the sensor for $519. They said they weren't completely sure it would fix the problem, but they warned me that if I took the car to a dealer, the dealer would want to replace the full EVAP system for at least $2,000. I trusted Auto Tech's advice and authorized the $519 repair, but the check engine light came back on the next day. Auto Tech then advised I replace the rest of the EVAP system, quoting me over $1,500 just for the parts. I decided to get a second opinion from the dealer anyway. For a $195 diagnostic fee, the dealer identified a clogged fuel vent tube, cleaned it out, and fixed the problem. This tube is attached to the same fuel tank pressor sensor Auto Tech replaced -- meaning that Auto Tech never took the time to check for a blockage in the immediate vicinity of the part they replaced. When I called Auto Tech to provide this feedback and express my disappointment with the misdiagnosis, they blew me off. They insisted they had been right all along, offered an obviously insincere apology, and hurriedly got off the phone. I am deeply disappointed with Auto Tech and can no longer recommend them due to their failure to properly diagnose this issue, bad advice about how much a dealership would have charged, and dismissal of my feedback.

The team had the necessary parts and repaired all TPMS sensors in the tires within that same hour. It very quick, easy and headache free. Everyone i interacted with was very nice and welcoming. My only suggestion for improvement would be to introduce yourself before getting started. It was dark, and we were two women stranded on the side of the highway. When he arrived, he pulled up behind us and immediately started changing the tire without introducing himself. I genuinely appreciated the urgency and willingness to jump right in and get the job done, but in that situation, a quick introduction would have gone a long way in helping us feel more comfortable and know that the person approaching our vehicle was the roadside assistance we had called.
