Cool rocks in the parking lot.

This place is super cute and on the Kittitas County Beer Trek. It has better hours than the other brewery in town and was open at noon on a weekday. There's a large parking lot out front and a cute backyard area on the side. I also really love the mural on the side of the building. We were killing some time and stopped off first thing in the morning. I loved the beer coaster decorations on the inside and was impressed by the collection. The person behind the bar was great and super helpful. I can't recall what beer I had but I am sure it was delicious, but I also really enjoyed the free popcorn. I'd definitely stop back here whenever I'm in town.

I really enjoyed the Vanilla Dozer Porter here!

I was last in Cle Elum close to a year ago last summer and went to Mule & Elk Brewing which is where Taneum Creek Brewing is currently housed. I learned the existence of this other brewery through the staff at Mule & Elk and even back then it was discussed that Mule & Elk would probably move closer downtown and Taneum Creek would move into this address. At the time I had a sample of Taneum Creek Brewing's beer at Mule & Elk and looked forward to it quite a bit towards this brewery getting it's own taproom and kept tabs on it throughout the year to monitor their progress on the moving of Mule & Elk and the opening of Taneum Creek. It happened which I was very glad to see! I was through Cle Elum on a trip to Lake Chelan and on the way home stopped here to check out the taproom and try some more of their beer! I got the Vanilla Dozer Porter which was excellent! It had a great smoky flavor to it and the vanilla added to that nicely. The staff here were very nice and informative which definitely motivates me to return back here to enjoy more of their beers in the future.

We've been seeing the sign for this place for years, but finally stumbled crossed on our way home…read morefrom a Mariners game one evening when we were looking for a spot to get out and grab some food and let the kids run around for a bit. This is a great spot located in the heart of Cle Elum! They have a food truck on site, which we unfortunately were not able to try because they had closed a bit early. Luckily, they had a number of sandwich and salad options. Our group enjoyed the Cuban, the chicken pesto, the Roslyn Rider, and a Caesar salad, which had some of the best croutons we've had in sometime! Another notable find was the snack mix... Not something that you would normally gush about, but this was filled with all of the best things the world has to offer Cheetos, bugles, Cheez-Its, and pretzels. If the Gardetto rye chips were in this, your head might just explode. For a relatively small outfit, the service here was very fast as they pumped out all of our food in about 10 minutes. There is ample indoor seating, and a lot of outdoor seating, which is shaded, and all of which is lovely! They've got a nice area with cornhole and some other games to play. They also have board games available inside. The only thing they are lacking is a big grassy area kids can go run around, but the asphalt worked just fine this spring day. We very much enjoyed our time here and will likely be back!

Not nice--aggressive flies that swarm you, your beer, and pizza. Pro tip is to order to go and use the pizza box to keep those nasty things off of your pie. Literal swarms. The tacos were a 10 out of 10, the fire pit was awesome outside and I note several little improvements wherever I look. Under the old ownership, things seemed to be slipping toward the end, but all that is fixed now. I haven't been at this place for a couple of years and was passing through so I thought I'd give it a shot, and I'm super glad I did. It is once again on my list of cool places to stop in my travels. To the new owners --well done.

Well... we finally did it... and shame on us for waiting so long. Such a very cool place and the vibe was great. An open concept inside, with a couple spots outdoors as you enter inside. My wife and I decided to split our meals and we ended up ordering the Chicken Tinga Street Tacos, as well as, a platter of Chicken Nachos. Both very delicious and the cilantro is simply supreme on this! The radishes was a nice touch, with some sauce over corn tortillas with that Cotiga cheese. I would prefer flour, but I'll take it! We also had the Saison which was light, a bit dry, crisp and sort of lemony. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and the neighboring tables. Had some good conversations with local folks. As always, enjoy and Happy Mule Elking!

A brewery, not on my radar? Could it be possible?... Well, as I'm learning my way around the PNW, I'm finding all kinds of gems, that my sometimes messed up radar didn't pick up. Lol The kicker was having the best pastrami Sando ever, at the Red Bird Cafe, along with a great selection of beers, there was Roslyn Brewery! Of course, ya gotta know the choice I made to drink with my yummy sando? Roslyn brewery Brookside Pale Lager, cool and crisp with tasty Lager flavors.. pale Lager? You might ask? Didn't you mean Pale Ale? So I was thinking as well, but nope, they make a pale lager, very well to boot. So, of course by this time, I'm hoping on Yelp search for this Roslyn Brewery... What!! It just a hop, skip, and a jump from the Red Bird Cafe, so being the beer adventurer I am, I made the hop, skip, and a very excited jump over to Roslyn Brewing, another sweet little place in Roslyn, small inside, but a big area for outside sitting, but definitely at a balmy 30 degrees, it was close quarters at the bar. Great atmosphere, friendly service, just pouring beers.. although they have a great cider menu and wines.. it was definitely a beer drinking crowd. Next time I'll definitely try some of the tasty looking cider choices they offer. Of course, loving the red, I tried the Red Lager.. Yum! I wish they had it in cans.. I would have taken a bunch home. I also tried the Bullfrog IPA, delicious, as well.. a little darker than most IPAs I've had, but full flavor, not over hoppy. I also took a bottle of each of the Pale Lager and a Dark Lager, looking forward to trying them at home as well as return visits to Roslyn and Roslyn brewery. Well worth the beautiful drive over Snoqualmie Pass. Happy Yelping, God bless and a big Cheers!

From the stunning views over the valley below, to the tasty cocktails, to the wonderful eats it was a great way to chillax on a lovely Saturday evening. Having had a not-great experience with wine (at a different venue) earlier in the day, we opted for cocktails here. My extra dirty martini with cheese-stuffed olives was phenomenal, and my friend enjoyed her old fashioned. We shared a roasted beet and burrata salad as an appy, then moved on to our main courses - I got the prime tenderloin and she got the cider glazed pork. We washed it all down with a couple of chocolate espresso martinis for dessert. My tenderloin was cooked to perfection, and accompanied by some sweet little roasted carrots and a lovely heap of mashed potatoes. My friend reported that her pork was more like a stew, and she really enjoyed it. What really put our experience here over the top was the absolutely amazing service we received, especially from our waiter, Trevor. He was friendly, funny, and helped us navigate the menu when we couldn't decide what to get. He also told us a little about the geological history of the area, which is built over an old coal mine. This place wasn't cheap, but for a fun night out of splurging, it was perfect!
