Yikes! If you're trying to shorten the trip to the Triangle for good Indian food, keep driving and don't stop until you get to Cary. Gobsmacked by the tiny portions. Order wasn't ready until 40 minutes after arrival when Grubhub said it would be ready. Open kitchen with smells of burned naan wafting into the dining room. Skip!

Our first trip to Tandoori Trail was phenomenal. I had been craving Indian food for a solid month, but we live in a barren wasteland of bland food, so it only happens when we find ourselves out of town. I had heard about this spot a couple months prior, and I was excited because it would be the closest Indian spot from our home in eastern NC. We found ourselves in Clayton for a baseball game, and I knew we had to stop. The biryani dishes were excellent. I had the lamb and my daughter had the chicken. The wife ordered the tandoori chicken sizzler, and it did not disappoint either. The only complaint I would offer - and it isn't a big complaint - is that I find the spice levels a little lacking. I'm used to spicy Indian food. Pump up the heat levels a bit. All in all, I give Tandoori Trail a solid 4 stars, and we will be back.

Receipt showing I payed 19$ for a vegetarian tiny bowl of undercooked rice & mushy paneer in a Oil tasting substance they call TIKKA MASALA

The "Caesar" Salad not only didn't have Caesar sauce, croutons or cheese, they also added tomatoes & absurdly large chunks of onion, ontop of that they didn't even use romaine lettuce, it was iceberg, the chicken was also overly soft, this was not a Caesar salad AT ALL... Receipt showing I payed 19$ for a vegetarian tiny bowl of undercooked rice & mushy paneer in a Oil tasting substance they call TIKKA MASALA!! It's enough to make someone cry I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone at all, also the first and only other time I went here they put chicken in a dish that was supposed to be VEGETARIAN for my significant other & they put a note in the bottom of the bag saying "we're sorry, ran out of Paneer" when they could've said it to me but tried to send me home with tainted food. This place is terrible, I gave them TWO chances along with 70$ and they completely failed. Atrocious

Amazing food hands down the best restaurant in Smithfield hands down. I always bring my family here when they come out of town to visit & it's always a hit

Our host (sorry I can't recall his name) but he was fun to talk with. Knowledgeable and filled us in on lots of the local happenings, places to also visit, even town history as well. The inside is adorable / quiet and cozy spots to relax as a couple or with several friends. Highly recommend. I look forward to springtime and being able to sit outside. Great spot!

We arrived at 4:45 PM on a Sunday and saw on the door that they close at five. We ran in and I said oh I'm so sorry. Are we still able to have a glass of wine? Crystal, the owner who was still on site, and Kristi, behind the bar were absolutely delightful and said of course! I had a Chardonnay and my husband had a Cabernet. Both were delicious. My Chardonnay needed a little chilling and the owner went in the back and brought out this concoction that instantly chilled my beverage. Brilliant! Not only are they friendly-but the space is beautiful, with elevated furniture & decor fitting of a very high-end wine bar, but with a very friendly and approachable vibe. We can't wait to return! I SO wish there was aclone of this quaint and lovely spot in Cary or Apex!

The wine list is broad and thoughtfully curated, with options that feel approachable whether you're a casual wine drinker or someone looking to try something new. The sommeliers were welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping us find something we loved. The space itself is adorable, with eclectic décor and cozy lighting that makes it easy to settle in and stay awhile. It's a great spot for conversation and a relaxed evening with friends. The only downside is that the space is fairly small, and I would have loved to see one or two more lower seating options for small groups rather than mostly high tops. That said, I could absolutely see us coming back for a pre- or post-theater glass of wine or an easy catch-up night.

The service is awesome--our server was super friendly and gave me a great drink recommendation when I wasn't sure what I wanted. It ended up being perfect. My friend and I shared a glass of the 2023 Cederberg Bukettraube (sweet white wine) and got the charcuterie board for one with the truffle salami. That board was so good--I can't stop thinking about it. The toasted baguette slices with truffle salami and mustard? Unreal. It was the perfect little snack to share. We also had the citrus lavender crème brûlée, which was surprisingly delicious. I don't usually go for crème brûlée, but this one was light, not overly sweet, and just had a really nice flavor. I've also tried their shepherd's pie before and loved it--wish it was still on the menu! The vibe inside is moody and cozy, and they've got a cute outdoor patio too. Overall, such a great spot. A little pricey, but I'll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend checking out Killer Queen.
