I've been here a handful of times and all the dishes I've tried, esp. the dosas, are delicious! LOVE their filtered coffee (better than Tim Horton's or Starbucks IMO and at a comparable price). The owner (or manager) is super friendly and will always greet you and the servers are friendly. Last time I came here, my server Navdeep, convinced me to just dine in instead of just doing take out (dosas are def best eaten just fresh out of the kitchen to keep their shape intact) and I got treated to a second helping of their yummy soup, which comes with any dosa order :D My bill for a paneer masala dosa plus a filtered coffee came to less than $22 (tip included) - one dosa could easily be shared by two people, so a great deal considering how pricey it is to eat out these days. Might just bump the score down to a 1/2 star as I took my parents here for Mother's Day and my mom got a crab soup but no crab pieces to be seen when she got it. Not sure if it was more a crab broth type soup, but they did add some crab in it when she asked. Anyway, highly recommend to check this place out - surprised there aren't more reviews for this place - they even have a nice healthy juice selection.

I've been here a few times and have had mixed experiences. On occasion, the food is amazing but…read moreother times it didn't quite hit the mark. The last time I was here, unfortunately, it was the latter. My sisters and I ended up sending back the plate of chaat and didn't really enjoy the golguppa platter which is usually one of my favourites. Something was just off with the cook the night we were there. There are so many Indian restaurants to try out nowadays I feel like you can't be off your game any night or you will lose a customer and they may never come back. I will be considering my choices next time.

They had me at chaat!!…read more I love truth in advertising. Whereas most Indian restaurants offer 2-3 kinds of chaat, there's so many here you have to come back to try them all. Come just for gol gappa (pani puri) or pao (pav) bhaji, which I haven't seen together on a menu in ages. Definitely get the chole bhatura (bhatoori), the bread is perfectly doughy without being greasy. The chole was good too, nice spice and flavour depth, not too runny or too thick, and not sweet. I judge an Indian restaurant by the quality of it's chole (chana masala), and this version was better than average. I had to try the kulfi and it came out beautifully presented with just a little faloodah, a delicious treat. We enjoyed our experience here. The server/owner was keen to explain his future plans for the newly renamed restaurant. He was attentive without being overbearing or pushy as we slowly chose which dishes to try. He showed us to mix the green chilli and tamarind sauces without being condescending, and when we ordered our food as hot spice level, not a hint of food racism was detected. The complimentary pappadams were a nice touch. We came at around 6:30pm, and were the sole customers until about 7:30pm, when the restaurant quickly started to fill. We picked up some sweets on the way out, they tasted not bad, fairly average. There were some pretty and creative sweets shaped and coloured like fruit. Recommended :) All this goodness without the trip to India; great flavours brought back fond memories. Will be back to try the non-chaat dishes.

We had the large Donairs, we both had beef though I had mine home style, which is added grilled onions, mushrooms, and peppers. So freaking good. And monstrously sized, who could even handle the Jumbo? Beef was tender, and this was about a half hour before closing, so no crappy stuff you get at some places.

One other group was dining in and only one group came through for take out. I would have expected more for a Friday night. They offer beef, chicken and mixed donairs. Additional toppings beyond lettuce, onion and tomato include canned mushrooms, pickles, green pepper, jalapeños, and banana peppers. It's nice to have options. We went with the regular beef donair combo which included a canned pop and fries. The fries were crinkle cut but really thin. They turned out to be a little over cooked so since they were thin they turn out very crispy. We had to ask for extra ketchup to make it through. The donair was fairly large for a regular. The meet was moist but not freshly cut. Likely that day but it came from a roaster which is not surprising 30 minutes before closing. We went with the classic three toppings and added mushrooms, pickles and green peppers. Everything was good except the onions which were too overpowering. Also, although I saw the server put on the sweet sauce on, I sure couldn't taste it. The place was clean and the staff attentive. The food was fine but forgettable. There's a better donairs within minutes of here. It's a nice enough place but it doesn't live up to the hype. Unlike the people at work, I won't be making a special trip back.
